Hi there Jennifer, looking at the box the letters GUCI could stand for Great Unique Culture Art Identity which is also written in the top corner of the box.

Instead of using a spray bottle, what about an eye dropper…I use them when I have more temperamental paints. Lovely review, thanks 😊

Another great video. To me, paper is important and really can determine what product to use. I haven't really decided to purchase Derwent or the Paul Rubbins paints. Just staring to experiment with paints.

Hullo Jen, Steve, & Rose! Sweet video and a very nice video too! I still have a set of Finetek glitter paint. I used them for fairy wings in a series of paintings that I did a few years ago. I recently purchased the Paul Rubens 24 glitter set because of the pink tin! I took the glitter paint out and replaced them with DaVinci professional grade paints for a palette for my wife! She has cool and warm primaries and some unique colors, like teal and sea foam and a neutral tint too. Thank you for sharing this palette of paints with us.

THESE PENCILS ARE AMAZING, I WOULD NOT HESITATE TO RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE! Those look like a lot of fun! Also wanted to know more about your nail polish-cool colors as they look like some of your paints you just swatched. I probably would’ve gotten those paints but as I was cleaning my cabinet of art supplies, I have unearthed many twinkling H2O’s that I had forgotten I had. Have you ever used those. They are pretty old and were made by luminarte.

Excellent 💯especially around time stamp 22:30. I do dip pen calligraphy and I am obsessed with the "metallic on black" theme. I have the Coliro Gold palette, 19 3ml pans from an Indian brand HNDMD, a 12 half-pan set from Brustro and an 18 12ml gouache tube set from Brustro. I also have Brustro metallic brush pens and another set from DOMS. I simply love swatching them on black😍 Flourishing with metallics on black is so satisfying 🥰

I have the pink Pauls

"Gucai" is pronounced Goo-Tsai. Gu means "ancient", and Cai either means "material" or "color" (I have to see the Chinese characters to be sure). I like the presentation of these paints, but I'm going to pass on them as I already have too many special effects watercolors from various makers and prefer using traditional paints to improve my skill.

Started no buy for a while on Art supplies, last thing. , full set used set 150 set of prismacolors, one of each color more than half used bought for 65$ on ebay, I’ve been on the watch for a back up set, this was a no brained ……well see how this works out lol

Traditional Chinese watercolor is made from natural dyes and minerals rather than finer pigment particles in western watercolor. Please do not try to use Chinese painting color on regular watercolor paper espacially the mineral colors because they are more opaque, not transparent.

They don't impress me. Maybe better on hot pressed, calligraphy or rice paper? The black is better but the streaks would bother me.
