Not a Barbie person. At all. On the Fourth of July, I went to see The Sound Of Freedom, with my hubby, of course. It’s based on truth. I was a bag of snot leaving the theater. I know most people prefer to live in a bubble, but I’m not one of those. That’s probably why I love glitter so much. It’s all pretty. I do love Mal’s box, though. I did order it. She did an amazing job.
I tried to get my husband to see that, but he said no. So we went to see Oppenheimer, which was Christopher Nolans version of JFK, but it was good. I like Christopher Nolan movies, so... but my mom and sister and her girl and some other friends wanted to see Barbie, so I caved. It wasn't a bad movie, and it was nostalgic if you're a girl who played with Barbie 😅 But these were better movies than have been out in a long time, in my opinion. 🤷♀️🤣
Dang…too bad you’re a couple of hours away, I’d go with you. I want to see Oppenheimer, myself. I hear Mel Gibson and Mark Wahlberg have a movie coming out later this year. Now, those two together will have to be magic. They’re both very good Christians who’ve made mistakes, owned up to them and tried to make amends. But, you know hollyweird doesn’t care too much for Christians, especially Catholics, like Mel and Mark. That’s another reason I’m a bit more selective. I don’t want to see movies that are made by people that despise my religion and those that practice it. I know no religion is perfect, BUT, at least Catholics admit that they’re human and it’s human to er. We moved around a lot when I was a growing up and I’ve been to MANY churches I’d different “denominations”. As a result I’ve experienced a lot of different religions. 🙈 I can say that, in my experience, I never felt “at home” until I married my husband and visited his church. But, that’s me. Sorry if that upsets you, in any way. I believe in loving and believing the best of everyone, until they prove me otherwise. I dare not judge, I make “observations”, instead. I’m sorry I’ve rambled.
