Marty, I’ve been with your channel from the beginning. You’ve come so far from the red kayak days. But I’ll say, you’ve never lost your sense of innovation over all these years. Pelican did their self a favor bringing you on board their company. You bring so much to the table. Out of all the people I follow, I would like to meet you the most. I just can’t get over how you come up with all these great ideas. You make a lot of us want to be a better fisherman by customizing our kayaks and boats to suit our needs. Thanks for years of entertainment and ideas!
Thank god you are back to Fishing and Kayaking. You have a special talent when it come to customizing gear. I love the mods! I really want to see your truck cap mods and camper mods. I am pausing videos to see what is over your shoulder in the truck cap. I know there are some unique mods you can show in the cap. I need to mod a truck and want to get your tips.
Finally able to get my hands on a Catch 110 Mode today. Now to drill holes and modify!! Thanks for all your thoughts and ideas. Absolutely love your videos. Keep it up, we need you.

Love your videos, bought a catch 130 first edition in 2017 after watching your reviews, bought a crosstrek so sold that because i put a Torqeedo motor on the back pushing it to 90lbs and wasnt comfortable loading that on my back window roller. Ill be buying this kayak, love their kayaks, i bass fish and need to stand up to be able to cast into tight spots, this will do great.
I’d love to see how you installed the rudder on the Catch Mode 110. The skeg is fine, but I want a bit more control. Do you have a video for that? I have the same boat and am wondering how much drilling/cutting I need to do. Thanks in advance!
What's better than that! Being out in beautiful weather, in your vessel that you setup. No two kayaks are the same. I love all my add-ons, accessories, DIY's, and my New PP 768 Bixpy J2 motor that i just received. Testing my $300 trailer from harbor freight this weekend. I did some mods so my kayak and trailer can get backed into my garage. This sport is just plain awesome. 🎣 🌊🛶
So I've got this same kayak and I want to add 2 more rigging rails and a mooring cleat but not sure how to add them since there isn't an internal access point. In other words, how can I add something with a nut and bolt if I can't reach inside the kayak? Did you just drill a pilot hole and use screws instead of nuts and bolts?

Nice setup. What are the parts that would be similar for the catch 120/100? I know the cradle would not work but I am sure you would make it work. I am really interested in hand control vs peddle control.
Do you feel the pelican mode would be a good match for a 62 year old 260 pound 5’6” old fart with a bad back and neuropathy? I would definitely want a Newport motor and foot pedal steering.
I just returned my pelican sentinel 100x angler for this the very next day I bought the sentinel. Didn’t even use it, I just knew I’d want this instead lol I’m so excited for this weekend
I have a mini power pole and I want to use it as a stake out pole. Problem is the scuppers are just a tad too small? Do I risk the integrity of the kayak drilling them out a hair?
Marty, I’m a new subscriber and I purchased (2) Pelican Catch Mode 110 kayaks and would like to modify the rudder system as you have. Do you have the (3) part numbers so I can be sure I’ve purchased the correct parts? Pelican customer service advised that I would void the warranty by switching from a skeg to a rudder. I don’t care about the warranty. I’ll make them into raised bed gardens and grow herbs if they’re no longer useful on the water. 🤣

I guess not. It's still on the hard all neglected. I saw it today. Sad to see him quitting. But jeez Marty. Those props are way undersized. No wonder you couldn't steer or go faster than 7 mph
@@bluegills my local farm and fleet in chippewa. I saw them in a flyer of theirs. Turned out at the time they hadn’t even got em in yet. So i did a raincheck given they were only getting three in. They were all sold before they got there haha.
