Oh, that is NIIIIICE! Beautiful, beautiful colors. I really like how the whole pen is flush; I don't recall seeing that before. Still...I love your Estie best of all. To me, that gorgeous pen is just the total package. I was so happy when you said how much you liked it and that it felt good in your hand. Yay Estie! 😁 To be real honest, though, I love your whole pen collection. I just get so excited whenever it's new pen day!
Wow! Beautiful pen! Thanks for showing us! I like the colors and shape. I’m definitely going to look this company up ; I had not heard of it before now!
@KarynaLovesToPlan I received it in September 2023, love it, definitely worth the wait :) the body I got was the Essex and it has a smaller step up and is very comfortable 😊
I look forward to see what pens you’re going to get next. This one is stunning! There’s just something about a handcrafted pen that makes it so special. Thanks for sharing this!
Yes, I’ve heard people just call them Jowo sticks, but I love that about the bespoke pens. It lets me collect lots of beautiful colored pens and then I can swap nibs as I’d like. I’ve even heard of others purposely leaving their pens and nibs like this separate so when they decide to ink one, they just choose a nib at the time they are inking it. I think that’s a fabulous idea.
That is such a stunning pen!! I ordered my honeycomb bee pen at the end of February from TPC so hopefully mine will come soon. Yours is so beautiful; I hope mine comes out just as lovely.
The colors in that pen are beautiful and work so well together. I love that they are jewel tones. I have come to dislike large step-ups too. I saw someone explain that if you're going to have a flush body, there's got to be a step-up on the inside...which kind of makes sense. Conversely, when the cap is wider in diameter than the body (mushroom style), than a step-up can be avoided. I guess we can't have it all. Regarding moving Jowo-compatible nibs around, I do that too, but I keep a log of which nib I put on which pen in a tiny notebook. I like to keep track.of who did which grind -- so for example, I might have three medium cursive italic nibs, but they were all ground by different people. It gets a bit confusing sometimes, but so far I think I know what's where. Nibs that are not in use either stay on the last pen I used them with or in labeled sample vials.
I don’t mind a non-flush pen, to be honest. I would rather have the comfort than the look of it when capped. Would you believe I have a spreadsheet with all my nibs and which pens they are currently on? 😂
I Googled what that part of your hand is called... apparently "purlicue" 😂 But I've heard other people on FP youtube call it the webbing which sounds more relatable
It freaks me out how often I see your custom pens come and you say you asked for a different nib than they sent you. It makes me reluctant to order a custom pen and wait months just for them to get it wrong anyway. :( I’m glad it doesnt bother you. Edit: all pens are fancy nib holders, unless you use an actual quill or reed to carve your own nib. Even I’m not that extreme yet. Yet.
