New Piano coming tomorrow 

Could you humor me by placing the microphone further away from the piano or a different placement? What's a part of the room that really flatters those notes? I feel some of the notes, but I don't feel very enveloped in the sound. I still like a live sound and am not big on the hugely dampened and processed studio sound, but I'm not getting that "umph." I hope that doesn't insult you as I read you are a sound engineer. It may be the microphone, but in my opinion I've heard worse microphones still immerse me. The deal is I just got my Grados in the mail today and I can hear everything and I like what you play so much I want the full experience. Some of your videos also sound more clear than others. Peace.
