To hang a double hook, take a piece of painter's tape and put it across the back from hole to hole. Poke a hole in the tape where the hooks are and then stick the tape onto the wall and can even level and then add the nails where the holes in the tape are. And bam easy peasy life changing hack
Yay! I’m excited for the haul video Kim! Here’s the steps on how to plant successful potato’s which I’ve learned from my grandma and mom. I’m sure it’s not the only way but it’s the way I’ve learnt and is fool proof! 🥔 Potato planting 101: 1) Cut the potato in half and make sure there is at least one eye on each piece 2) Dig a hole 3) Put some water in the hole (enough to wet the dirt so it’s visibly wet) 4) Place potato in the hole with the eye facing upwards 5) Cover the hole with dirt 6) Water 7) Hill the potato plant while it is growing (pile up extra dirt around plant) 8) Continue to water plant as needed if rain isn’t giving it enough moisture 9) When plant is large and bushy on top, then potato’s should be full size underneath and ready to eat (sorry I don’t know the time frame when they will be ready I just know what to look for lol) 🤗
You need to hill your potatoes as they grow. A.k.a. mound the dirt up around the plants as it grows. Potatoes grow at least 10 inches under the ground. I would give it another try.
Great video Kim🥰! All the food you prepared looked absolutely delicious! I really loved all the new pictures you purchased💜! You’re such a sweetheart Kim and I love your beautiful family!
To hang double hook artwork. I stick a strip of painters tape across the back from hook to hook. Use a marker to dot where the nails should go. Then peel off the tape and stick it to the wall. Nail holes where the dots are on the tape. Perfect every time!
A day hanging out at the Wads is always fun no matter what agenda! I think your taste in art work is generally right on point, Kim, and I agree with you about the solitary egret. Kind of boring. But the Jenny Westernhofer print is awesome. Reminds me of a 60s Barbie doll on the boardwalk!
Hi Kim! Your food always looks delicious! My grandma had a tradition every Christmas of making Buttered carrots & onions on the stove! Absolutely delicious 😋😋😋
Hi People, Kim, you cover so many topics in one video and it’s awesome! Love it when I need to pause the video thinking it’s almost over only to see it’s only 1/2 way done! Woot woot! Loved all the artwork. ❤
I have learned to love cooking from scratch. I can say that I was a skinny teenager bc my mom did not know how to, and we lived off tv dinners (which I hated). It looks years for me to develop a good system. I love when you share recipes!
Kim, the potatoes weren't even ready to harvest. When the green parts die back, that ehen they're ready. Maybe consult uncle Google before you just willy nilly harvest next time. Yes, they take months to grow new potatoes. Wow, I love the colours of your eggs! Gorgeous. I really like all 3 of the artworks you got for the girls bathroom. ❤
@@thewadsquad your soil probably didn't have enough nutrients. Gardening isn't easy. It takes research and a lot of trying and failing. My husband is the vegetable gardener, I stick to herbs and flowers. I do try to pay attention to the things he says and does. He's been at this for 20 yrs now and I'm still learning something new every year.
I love farm fresh eggs. My sister lives in Illinois on a farm and has chickens. Every time she comes home she brings me 12 dozen eggs. They are so much better than store bought. ❤❤❤❤
I love the vintage looking beach picture you found. I'll put it in my bathroom since your girls don't want it in theirs lol ❤ I had a Snoppy snocone maker too! I loved that!
I am a little late for the party...but, I am here. We also have those niches in our house. We tiled ours and have decorative vases in them. My friend ended up painting hers a color that is a little darker or complimentary to her wall color. She then hung art work in them. But I think your picture is a little small for that space as it sits. Maybe painting it a blue and put the bird picture in there. Hope that gives you some ideas. Thank you for being a friend and sharing your wonderful family.
I wonder if you could make Eleanor a designated art spot in your garage so she could be messy in a contained area? If your laundry room and garage share a wall you could have a sink plumbed in the garage and then she could create to her hearts content without messing up all your new construction.
I have an artistic kid too. We HAD to designate an "art studio" in our basement. She is not allowed to do art in her room. Well, maybe just sketching. She loves it.
So with those "double hangers" on those frames are actually to run framing wire across the frame and then you use a hanger and hook the wire on it. When I worked at Michael's in the frame shop in the back, we'd do the wire for you if you bought the wire off the shelf. Check with your local stores that have frame shops and pre-framed stuff, too.
Hi Kim…Don’t let your Chickens eat Potatoes, Onions..it’s basically poison ☠…You also need to provide more Shade..a Dust Bath area..and make the run more friendly because you’re living in hot and humid Florida..maybe think about adding some grass sod to half of your run to make the ground cooler for your Chickens 🐓 👍 Thank you for your Fun videos..we love them 🥰
I live in Mississippi and its hot as all get out. The grass don't grow once them chickens are in the pen. Mine have it all but no grass, I do grow fodder for them
For the potatoes- cut the sprout off the potato- give it 24 hours to rest, then plant the sprouted part up. As it grows, add dirt to it. They will grow fast- add dirt & water. When the plant flowers & then starts to die back, the potatoes are ready to harvest. I have 3 bags going now, and they are going bonkers. I'm getting ready to plant another few this week. I noticed you placed the shavings from the carrots in the trash. You could either give that to the chickens, or place it in a compost pile. That will turn gold for either. Give the potatoes another try. PS- You can use a grocery bag from the thrift store, not a $20 bag. I have my fist set in a $ store trash cans- the holes in the side.
I began reading your comment and became fully engaged ☺. Can I use just basic generic soil for the potatoes? How is the best way to clean the potatoes from bugs?
Ive had dismal harvests like that from time to time. Experiments like that are what makes gardening fun! Spend $50 to grow your own organic single (insert vegetable of choice here) kinda thing 😅 I love the color of your eggs and so envious you have chickens. I love the red framed painting...gives the bathroom a pop of color. Dang it, now Im craving brownies.....
I absolutely love all three art pieces for the girl’s bathroom ❤ my style exactly, act first think later 😂 love it Kim❤ I must say, your hair is beautiful . Don’t often see you with it down. Summer is in the air 😊
Kim in the arch way where your wedding picture is place a planter at the bottom and let your little artist draw vines and leaves like it is growing from it. just a thought.
As always a great video and recipes! I have found that the pre cut fruit at Publix is always better too. You have inspired me to cook more at home and we are loving it, Pinterest is one of my go to for help! Love the artwork, I need to shop at Home Goods more. Have a great day and love to all the Wads!!!
Your essential oils could go in that area where your wedding photo is hung! That little recessed area is perfect! Just need to add in some really shallow little shelves and could paint the whole thing the same color as the walls! Haha I would have no clue what to do with a spot like that either!!
I wanted to say a huge thank you for something. I have severe anxiety and a few other things like PTSD ect.. Anyway I can’t sleep I lay awake all night stressing and overthinking. So I have to leave shows on to watch and hear while I sleep. Well I leave your old videos on all night and it’s great 😊 lol I dream every night that we go shopping, cook food, clean the house together rofl 🤪 It’s not creepy at all 😂😂 But no truly it helps me relax and feel safe so thanks
I'm so famous for forgetting to grease the pan. I always have to pour into back into the bowl, wash the baking dish, and then grease it and add the mixture. UGH!! Everytime I always say I'm not going to forget but I do somehow..... Oh well at least it's good food. lol Enjoy your week. Thanks for getting me through this week.
My 2 cents! Ya, put that bird pic you took down and put where your wedding pic is at! Put wedding pic in your bedroom!!! 😊🎉 The potatoes need a hill of loose soil under and throw some over too… then about 4 weeks later after the green plant grows, throw more soil on top. Keep any potatoes covered with soil completely, the sun will make green on the potatoes and make you sick… keep soil on the potatoes growing! Chickens… Dirt bath is great. But to keep mites off them add together a little diatomaceous earth, and equal parts dirt…fire place ash, and sand… you can put it in a small flat container with small sides. Add more as needed… keeping the chickens healthy! Easy to do! Did you give your leftover carrot shreds to the chickens? They like those too!
Not me thinking you grew those big taters then realizing the big taters is what you planted🤦🏻♀️ I’m so dumb but hey, at least you got three mini taters in the end😂😂🤣 You’re hilarious Kim, you always brighten my day when you post, you’re so entertaining and fun👍👍👍 TYFS, have a blessed day/week my friend🙏♥️💫✨👼🏻✨💫♥️🙏
Yay🎉 a lil bit of everything....I'm gonna try the root beer pulled pork(yum)...my 4 yr niece loves the food make up kits😊-her current one is fruit pebbles
Kim you should plant your pineapple heads they are easy to grow and oh my the best taste ever. Same with watermelon and pumpkin easy to grow and the best flavour ever. And if you can get fresh pig poo the best food for plants fresh fruit and vegetables ever
I just learned, when hanging a picture that has two hooky things on each side, get some picture wire!. Wrap it around each side and you can hang with one nail!! I just changed your life lol. Love your videos!! Long time fan :)
We give our chickens all of our fruit/veggie scraps. They’re fine. We’ve had chickens as a family 11 years and my husband grew up with them. Don’t stress about it
The Autumn stuff out already is beyond wild! Im cracking up at the kids thinking Summer is almost over- my kid still has another month of school before it even starts.
When I need to hang something with the side hooks, I take a long wire and connect the two hooks... Hanging from the wire. The heavier the picture the thicker the wire. It's a lot easier than the painter's tape trick. Especially if you decide to hang it elsewhere later.
You crack me up about the wall art. I've been looking for one to put in my dining room for years. They are all so expensive and I can't find the right colors.
