I'm on board with what they showed and while I get why they're keeping chibi's for the remakes I just feel like these models are too chibi. They look more like toys than playable characters.

Calling it now: Oshawott, Rowlet and Cyndaquil's evolutions will be regional formes. Think about it, Oshawott evolves into a samurai in the modern era despite being an Unovan pokemon. My guess is that the original Samurott's form was less Japan-inspired, but after being introduced to the Sinnoh region during this era they adapted into their current form before becoming the dominant variant of Samurott and spreading worldwide (similar to how non-native grey squirrels have replaced red squirrels in the real world). Similarly, Decidueye is a ghost type because long-legged owls are extinct, but in this era it is possible they were not, meaning that typing would be less relevant. It's also notable that in this game Cyndaquil's flames are always bursting, implying that something is special about it.

An open world Pokemon game is a dream come true, and glad the series is trying it, hopefully not just as a one-off, but if you rewatch the footage, the visuals for Legendss are REALLY rough. Even compared to Sword/Shield and Let's Go, which already had a lot of criticism of poor graphics, Legends looks notably worse, frankly to the point where it didn't look ready to show off. The Diamond/Pearl remakes also seem to have worse lighting, character model shaders, and general details then Let's Go did. I'm not expecting Pokemon games to be graphical powerhouses, but I don't think it's unreasonable to want them to at elast look as good as a prior game in the series on the same system from 3 years ago

$60 for Diamond and Pearl Remakes then about $60 for the Platinum Plotline. Just wait for it.

I'm glad we finally got the remakes but salty that Legends is the one given the better look over them. I would've been fully content with just no chibi models.

I'm actually glad they want this route. It's clear GF wants to do something new with this legends thing. This open world theme gives them so much more freedom from the typical Pokemon formula. And they still have the remakes for the other fanbase so I guess everyone wins.

I’m not mad at the overworld artstyle. I am mad that the gen 4 remakes are absolutely going to be generic as fuck. It doesn’t look like there is any reason to play them over the original Diamond and Pearl so far. Legends Arceus could be interesting though. I find it interesting how no one is paying attention to what's being said in the breakdown of BrilliantDiamond/ShinningPearl. The announcer specifically states "catch all the Pokemon found in the original Diamond/Pearl". You think we're gonna see Gen 6/7/8 Pokemon in there? 😂. Also is it me or was there no battle menu against wild Pokemon shown, only against trainers. This is Let's Go all over again, just in the Sinnoh Region. 😂

I was preparing myself for disapointment but i was actually suprised The Sinnoh remakes look awesome and faithful and i am happy with the return of chibi character models I am a bit skeptical for legends the premise of being on sinnoh during the past seems very interasting the graphics look pretty good i really like the shading and the talk about this bringing a "new era" to the pokemon franchise seems pretty intruiging but i am gonna have to see more to deside
