Foundation update. I wore it for two days of trials. Lasted all day. Doesn't transfer. Easy to color match. Medium or light medium coverage. Wears well all day. On a par with the new Glossier, really.

Thank you for reviewing Polite Society so quickly and so well. I agree with all you said. It’s not popular to say this anymore, but Too Faced is one of my favorite brands. Has been since the beginning. The Born This Way foundation has been my go to for years. I expected cuter packaging since they were all about that, but maybe that is still to come. Either way, I’m rooting for them, and I can’t wait to see what else they bring out.

How LOVELY of you, Dawn. Thank you. I try to take one day a week where I don't publish any video so everything can kind of catch up. Ideally, I'd love to take two days but especially with holidays around the corner, there will likely be more weeks than none with seven days worth. When all is chugging along predictably, Monday will not have one. But...famous last words. Haha.

The shade is spot on! I really struggled with the shade online. I just ordered it but probably should’ve watched your video first. I ordered light with warm to olive so when i pick it up in store I may swap it for the shade you got. I also think the blush palette is very pretty. I may grab that one too. I love the mascara and lip plumper!

Once again, Rebecca, your timing is impeccable for me. I was just looking at these this morning on Ulta and debating an “add to cart”. I decided to pause and then saw your video topic. Thank you for your review! My question - what level of coverage do you feel the foundation provided? My comment about the intention of the founders - do you envision they will drop only mini collections like this per brand and then move on to the next, never fully developing out assortment in any one brand? Or perhaps only the ones that the mini collection sees strong customer response?

I would say the foundation is a solid medium or on the lighter side of medium. Kind of comparable to the new Glossier, actually. I feel like this is the brand they are really going to develop but I also think they will see where things go, exactly as you're saying. I mean, how COOL to be able to take each brand somewhere to see where it goes and how it's received. But I feel like this one will get more attention. Let's see if we're right.

Generally speaking, I don’t care too much about brand creators. I’m not into cancel culture and I’m not interested in the celebrity of it either. I know who the brand creators are, I might even like some better than others, but for me purchasing is about the product itself. I’m not big into clean beauty, they tend to leave out things like silicone which my mature skin needs to be smooth. I won’t be purchasing this foundation. However, I’ve seen some good comments on the mascara so I might try that.

It does look like and the products themselves do sound VERY Too Face- ey lol I do agree with you on the awkward shape being annoying to store, the drawers fill up quickly for sure and the shape does make storing kind of difficult. The peach scent was a clever nod. The lists of things included and not included also very clever. The foundation looks good on you but the bottle! Ugh WHY with the hard to store (for me) bottle. I never use my Lisa Eldridge foundation because it’s stored somewhere from the rest of my foundations. That would happen with this one, too. I cannot do a super scented blush. The GXVE beauty has scarred me now😂, but I will be watching what they do in the future.

Lisa!!! Yessss. The lisa Eldridge foundation, to me, get ready, is pretentious because it must sit out on a counter. Oddly shaped palettes and bottles take themselves too seriously. This is WAY stronger than the GXVE scent.

Too Faced was one of my favorite brands, truly iconic! The brand contained many of my beauty favorites for years but like all things, they changed. I enjoy their cheeky sexual references to a point. My issue was they changed their demographic marketing to focus on younger folks which their cheekiness was less than ideal. I’m hardly a prudish person but even I do not like the thought of my teenager going to Sephora asking for the lady balls (i think they changed the name) lipstick, etc. Their products spoke for themselves and they had meaningful names like Born This Way and their Hangover (yes, appropriate for an adult audience, not 14 year olds). Like Tarte, im always rooting for them but Tarte pulls at my heart and pocket book more than Too Faced but hopefully their new brand stakes a claim in the market. I know they can do it, as they are a proven success story❤ On a side note, I find it interesting they would include positive affirming words like honesty and kindness and without trolls, and bigotry yet they have really straddled the line in the past and not on the best way. Great review and always love your industry insight❤

Oh for sure. Sometimes you kind of want to go, “well… That’s Rich! “You know what I mean? No trolls. OK. And that’s a rule for…? Do you know? Too funny. Yes. The double entendre and innuendos were much better for adults. I still see the biggest sellers for the brand are the tin cased eyeshadow palettes and they seem to be doing away with that but then also these cheeky little Christmas releases. Which I will review. I think that’s the time that people don’t mind fragranced pallets. I think? I guess there’s an audience also for things like pop tarts scented eyeshadow. But I’m not sure it’s me. I don’t mind reviewing it but I’m not sure it’s really me. I found it interesting that they referenced peach here because that really goes back to the core of what too faced was before it got out of control. I totally agree with you.

Well thanks for the info and I wish them the best on their new journey..I have been into Too Face for years with palettes powders concealers foundation mascara so if they come out with good quality stuff.. Beautiful look on you, the foundation as well. This release seems geared to the younger set. Yet I guess the foundation can be used by all. For the price point I will stick to Haus Labs. I have plenty of blushes and foundations right now to use up. Chanel, Lancome, etc. Back in the day i did the peach scent thing, the chocolate scent. It got too much after awhile and right now I am not interested in that in my makeup products anymore. As to Haus Labs, i gave it a try yesterday and loved it this time. Yes the shade is still a little light but it will work well as my winter shade. What impressed me the most is the wear. Still looked perfect after 9 hours. No touch ups.

I saw it in store and couldn't find a good shade match...the closest was the same one you picked up, but that was too light. Then they went too dark. I did try it on store and looked pretty. Most likely, I will go again with more time and swatch some more. I look forward to the expansion of the brand.

The peach perfect foundation was a huge favourite of mine and they discontinued it. Did you ever try that one to compare it to this new one?? I have a request.. ..lol i apologize from now....but...over on your IG, would be able to do an updated foundation shade swatch with the newest foundation with just a few of your older, best shade matches? Hi Rebecca! I was excited to see what they were coming out with but was disappointed when the first thing was expensive jewelry cleaner. Lol As for the cosmetics, idk, I was hoping for a bit nicer or just different packaging. But no biggie. I almost thought the face palette was the same as the Too Faced peach face and eye palette. I pulled mine out during your video and swatched it. This one seems to be more muted and the Too Faced one is definitely more shimmery. The foundation packaging automatically reminded me of Lisa Eldridge’s foundation bottle. This one is just a fatter version. Lol So far I don’t have any interest in the stuff they’ve released but am still curious as to what’s to come. Thank you so much for reviewing! (As I know, Jerrod is controversial but I don’t participate in cancel culture. 😊)

I have a soft spot for Jerrod as he was the first person to ever do my makeup back in the day when he worked at the mall and was just launching the brand. The foundation bottle totally reminded me of the LE bottle too

How does the foundation feel on the face and is it a serum foundation? What is the formulation is it thin is it thick?

Medium coverage. Feels nice, like a serum. No transfer or stickiness.

I used to like Too Faced before, when it was not part of EL. Glad to see they are back with something new and hope they products will be good. The blush palette looks nice. I am in Canada so I will not go out of my way to try to get the products- maybe one day I will be more interested. So far the way how they are naming things in "weird" to me🤣🤣 Polite societ- that is cool, no issues there. The name of the foundation nice as well. And then the blush palette( which actually interests me the most🤣🤣)- that name seems passive aggressive to me. Probably because of the Go word in it🤣. Not a big deal, but something which just got me like:: hmmmm... and I always liked good word play. But I am rooting for them as long as products will be good

Good evening Rebecca sorry 🙏 I'm later watching ❤😊 I wasnt feeling good today so I trier to catch up some sleep from last night 🌃 I had really hard time with my breathing and stressed and also got my CAT Scan done so I'm hoping we know soon what's the next step with my gallbladder gallstones issues but I'm afraid it's not 💯 my issues I still think it's my PAH aka pulmonary arterial hypertension just got worse due to my heart ♥ valve that still leaking the tricuspid after they repaired 3x already and they don't wanna give me a tissue valve cause of my PAH numbers are too low which is not enough oxygen of my blood in my arteries to the heart ♥ it's a mess ... so anyways love 😍 your eyes 👀 here beautiful your nice olive 🫒 green eyes are popping ... yes I used to LOVE 😍 Too Faced but then they started to put fragrance in them too much for me it bothers my sensitive eyes 👀 they water 💦 and 🔥 burn but I did like the 🍫 chocolate 🎨 palettes 😊🙋‍♀️💕👍🖌🎨👀🤷‍♀️

Belinda! You’re right. I need to pin a comment which I will do in a moment. It wore very very well all day. A serum foundation and doesn’t transfer. Very nice feel on the face. Very similar to something that to too faced would offer which is good because I really like too faced complexion products. Very lovely. Nothing special. Nothing to recommend it more than anything else but nothing that would be a strike against it either. Very well performing. Very normal foundation. Easy to find a color match and light to medium coverage more medium than anything.

Not sure yet with Jared and jermey it depends if Jared has changed or not but I did used to love 😍 them back when they started the Too Faced brand but at years went on Jared started some nasty things with other social media but at the same time people were bullies back when so maybe him moved on maybe he's better person especially I know he loves ❤ animals and his dog 🐶

Too Faced is an OG company and helped pave the way for many brands and trends. I wish they had left the fragrance behind as they to move on to other ventures. I want to see how they help others in their beauty incubator.
