I ordered the polite society cheek palette from Ulta. The highlighter arrived totally shattered. After a lengthy back and forth with customer service, they sent a replacement. It was also totally shattered.. 😒 I would pick it up in store if possible.
@@emilynoel83 .. I also received the lip plumper, mascara combo pack. I really enjoyed the plumper I haven't tried the mascara yet. Some people are very sensitive to plumpers, I'm not. They never bother me.
Have you tried the Lifter Gloss Plump that is out now? Jen Phelps tried it and she couldn't handle it, so I probably couldn't either, but since your "so adventurous" thought maybe you would try one. Just a thought.
Emily - Getting ready to get on a plane, and packing...Have found a brand that I am certain you have touched on, but would love for you to do one of your "almost full face" reviews of MERIT...but, this is the 1st brand that I have just works for me (I am 67 with dry skin, prone to redness) like you, I enjoy the process - so yes, I do have a nice collection of makeup. They have a collection - a foundation stick, blushes, bronzers, highlight...it is easy, it looks great - I use the the B. Brown Vitamin Enriched Face base, a sunscreen - add lip and eye...looks so good. Comfy, reasonable price point and IT LASTS. 👍
I was attracted by the Polite Society face palette at Ulta. The packaging and the colors were very pretty, but the price point was too high for me. I felt like the target demographic was a little younger, plus the packaging felt a little flimsy, so the price point should have been lower.
I think that the customer target is older than the Too faced, more adult. It would have been more interesting if they had made a low cost brand this time, with a good quality.

I really like this foundation. It looks very pretty after it’s set with powder. The mascara I didn’t care for because it weighed my thin lashes downward. The plumper I agree with you about. It’s nothing to mess around with! It frickin burns! But it does indeed plump. The blush palette reminded me a little of the one peach face palette from Too Faced. Very pigmented. Thanks for your review of the eyeshadow palette! I think I will wait for another one to come out with more shades.
@@emilynoel83 so, I did a pick up order. It does sting, but I don’t mind it. This is what I wanted to lip injection extreme to be. I do think it helps smooth out my lip lines, but I don’t really notice much color. I can’t wait to try it tomorrow and apply lipstick after. How long do you feel like the effects last?

Hi Emily!! I tried the Polite Society lip plumper and you are absolutely right - it's unlike any other lip plumping product I have tried! I have thin lips and this lip gloss really plumped my lips and it last for 2 hours which is better than any other product I've tried! Thank you so much for putting us on to this brand 😊

I got that set of InnBeauty lip glosses after seeing your review, and they're so good! Lately I've even been putting on one of the lighter ones (but not the glittery one) before bed and I wake up with soft, moisturized lips. Thanks for the recommendation!
wow, I was busy in the kitchen and I really couldn't hear the tv and when I sat back down to continue to watch, I thought,..."oh wow, did she get her lips done?"...I was shocked how plump your lips were and even your top lip looked exactly like they do when the girls get them done....I'm still shocked! You are the one who made me fall in love with face palettes and this one is so pretty, but I'm not a coral type girl...I like cooler mauves, pinks and berries. I'm on the Ulta site right now in search of this lip plumper.
I appreciate your honesty with the plumper. I am not a big plumper girl. Mild plumping maybe but not that much. So I thank you, I’ll have to skip it! 😂 But in all honesty, I would be concerned with a plumper that strong that, over time and continuous use, it would cause fine lines around the mouth to get worse.
I don't know if you've tried the newest Maybelline Lifter glosses, but they, like the Polite Society gloss, plump by capsicum, which is the oil that makes peppers hot. They have several colors.
I need all the plumping since I have such thin, small lips but I’m a wimp and can’t handle most so this one is sadly a pass from me. I did buy the blush palette a while ago and really love it! The polite society lip plumper was developed the person who developed Too Faced cosmetics. I heard about it on the Breaking Beauty podcast. You are right it does burn like fire. However, this is coming from the man who created better than sex mascara, so I guess that’s to be expected. Overtime I have gotten used to it and I use it every morning. Thanks for trying it out, I feel better to know I was not alone. I have followed you for years and so enjoy your videos.

Ooh ya took one for the team on that lip plumper, not worth it for me. I’m curious how long the effect lasts and do your lips feel really chapped after? It’s the days of chapped lips 👄 I want to avoid.
Nothing felt chapped- and the plumping effect is temporary. They felt fuller for a couple of hours (which is actually pretty impressive to me considering I dabbed it off... and it'd obviously last a lot longer if you left it on your lips! :)
I really can’t understand capsaicin lip plumper. I’m really reactive to capsaicin and fear that it would be a trip to the ER. The foundation looks beautiful on you, as does the mascara.

This is not a brand I would ever support or purchase from but the look you created is lovely, the skin in particular looks great. Interesting how’ve they have almost carbon copied Too Faced from the lip plumper to the only available blush colour way being peach… Looking at the palette too it’s note for note TF.
Hi Em. Since you mentioned you're almost 40, are you considering any cosmetic procedures or fillers? Do you sleep on your back with an elevated pillow?
My only take on this brand is that there’s nothing here that Too Faced couldn’t have put out. You know what I mean? All these products look like Too Faced and could’ve been launched as Too Faced so I wonder why they felt the need to come up with a new brand. My guess is that all the controversies around Too Faced have finally started to impact the brand and they needed a fresh new start. Either way, it looks good! Love u Em!! ❤
Jerrod and his partner don't own Too Faced anymore, and they sold to Estee Lauder. Hence, why they started a different brand. Just like Bobby Brown sold her company and now started Jones Road.

I think, for this to be a separate line, this brand still screams “Too Faced” to me. Especially the eye palette. I think I’ll skip it, particularly because it’s still a high-end price point. Thanks for the review though! 🙂

I ❤ Buxom but have finally figured out those products (and sour worms) cause the corners of my mouth to literally split and I look like a clown. I've been to the Dr over it but my sister figured it out....I won't be trying that one
