In the UK: 'This car is huge" In the US: We Panamera owners have to watch out for 7 foot tall Chevy Tahoes driven by 4'9" soccer moms jumping up and down on the front seat yelling at traffic because little Timmy is late for band practice.
The giant trucks are annoying af. One parks next to me at the apartment. BTW, it's a single bedroom apartment building. What does he use the truck for? O.o
@@SullenSecret in the states a lot of people buy SUVs for various reasons. A status symbol (look what I can afford to drive), safety (I'm way up here and behind all this metal), and usually rounding out the last bit, is utility (3 kids + their friends, grocery hauling, etc.)
What’s great about these reviews is that as well as doing all the click-bait drag racing/quarter mile stuff they actually take you through the details and features of the car. Great work Carwow!
If you want me to be totally honest that is one of the most beautiful sedans in a long while. I understand the Panamera was ugly, but the rear looks bad ass now
no kidding, when porsche first introduced the panamera, I saw it on old Top Gear and remarked how goddarn ugly the back side was. Now? It looks much better.
@carwow hey Mat. (8:07) Porsche does that because back in the time in the le mans races drivers were running to car starting the car. Porsche put the start left and so drivers could start the car while they getting into the car. So its a reference to that, I think its cool :D
Me (having a shit-ton of work): Okay, I'll watch this one, but it's the last one. Mat: "But if you click on the pop out banner in the top right corner..."
Only early carwow viewers know this lol. Go check those videos out! XD (hint: it's to do with something Mat said in one of the videos, so basically he asked for it ;D )
You are kidding me Matt. Porsche has the best infortainment system. It is fast, responsive and it offers both wired and wireless carplay perfectly. The menu UI design is clear and simple. Manual lookup on screen is amazing when you need to find out what pressure the tires should be.
@@TuddecBMW With Euro 6 D emission regulations and whatnot, I feel that it is becoming more challenging to develop engineering for future Diesel Engine development. In addition, I reckon that most Porsche buyers are not that concerned about fuel economy anyway (e.g. I mean if you can afford a Porsche, you can afford fuel). As such, they will focus instead on hybridization.
Leave it to Mat to even give us a little schtick with a rock shattering his windshield right after he says “between a rock and a hard place.” Hard...nice.
I paid 600€ + 180€ for a 2013 A7 OEM windshield replacement. For this panamera (just because its a porsche) i think its over 1k just for the windshield, not installed.
Its because of that stone chip I will buy this over the S class 550. A stone hits that and you have to replace it. I changed my windshield a staggering 7 times in 5 years on the S class .
I am fortunate enough to have one of these in Voodooblue ( I have kids so 911 is out of the question). However, at Goodwood, my Lexus IS 500 F Sport is only around 1.8 seconds behind on lap time. Unbelievable really. Great video Matt!
Mat your just amazing 👏 😍 , Big fan from India 🇮🇳. No diesel engine ,less boot space and no android auto 😱😱😣😞 come on porsche. I'd rather prefer a 8 series grand coupe
Wtf this video is somehow cursed lol Matt gets beaten up by the camera team, gets insulted by other drivers, nearly frontal crashes a freakin panamera turbo s and gets a rockfall in the windshield... And I just at 13:10 at the video so maybe gonna see some aliens for a second in the vid let's see👀 But still a great cursed video as always though :D
Agreed but I have to thank BMW for screwing up there design as I’ve been driving M3’s and M5’s for the last 20+ yrs now a Porsche owner and the difference is night and day BMW has nothing that can touch my 992 Turbo S .
Am I the only one who don't like the rear part when viewed from side?A horizontal extension of boot for just 10cm would have made it look like a perfect sedan. It actually looks like a elongated hatchback from the side.
