Hello ! Great question. The 2 areas are completely different. Both have high end areas and low. New Port Richey can have some waterfront homes while Ocala will lend itself to acreage. With our oldest attending college in Ocala he felt very safe and proximity to i75 was a breeze. Lots of shops & restaurants but definitely a country vibe as it is the horse capital of the world. Now having family in Port Richey, we visit often. Nothing like Ocala. We focus on water activities like boating & scalloping. Not that many places to shop, no malls and not a large variety of restaurants. We hope this helps!
