Miter party! I need to do some work on my RV. You should totally have a miter party. People used to have LAN parties. They’d bring desktop computers and full side CRT monitors to a friend’s house. A miter party is totally reasonable.

Tecovas are cool and all, but I’m more of a Red Wing Pecos kind of guy. It’s pretty hard to find affordable made in the USA cowboy boots these days.

The Bosch Cordless 12" profactor allows you to change speed/RPM via a digital display. So that feature is definitely not unique to Hilti.

Sarah and I were just coworkers and friends for the last 9 years. We both went through unrelated divorces. Last November we decided to try dating, and life has been amazing ever since. We now live together, with our blended family of 6. We both have 2 kids. Never knew a love like this, and will work the rest of my life to deserve her. :-)

I'm 64 and have been wearing boots for 60 years (mom said I refuse to go anywhere without them) and so far no issues. Lucchese or Tony Lama is my boots of choice. You did say cowboys of which I am not. Grew up on a farm and have a 54 acre mini farm. I think the key is buying a quality boot and getting the proper fit.

I'll stick to my Festool KS120 thanks unbelievably they're cheaper, more accurate, have better dust collection and unlike the Hilti you don't have to send them back to Festool to repair them, and the spare parts are reasonably priced

sooooooo many issues with all miter saws and no one seems to give a crap to fix them. Dust collection as the number 1 issue. Some already fixed most of it with 3d printing things for it. next is the fence. needs to be worked. Then is the slot where the blade goes in to. they should make it a tooless way of shifting it to open and close it so you have zero clearance with 90 degree cuts but widen as you bevel it. Then comes the long protruding handle base thingy i just talked about. That should have a way of clicking to unlock and drop the front half so it stays out of the way. in a tight shop i cant tell you the number of times i bumped into it and nearly dropped from pain.

So if I cut metal will the red hot metal sparks melt that dust collection hose? I melted mine already.

If you are using a toothed blade at lower RPM you shouldn't be throwing super hot sparks and the saw is designed for aluminum cutting not steel. I've not thrown very many sparks cutting aluminum.

The position of the dust port on the Hilti is annoying as the vacuum is going to take up at least another 8 inches with the hose. Looks good otherwise
