This is a pair of VTR Buggy Rear wheels. Pro-Line is introducing the next revolution in 1:10 Buggy Racing: VTR 2.4" Wheels! The VTR buggy wheels introduce the horizontal mounting style common in 1:8 Nitro and bring it to the precision environment of the 1:10 racing scene, resulting in the lightest tire/wheel package ever produced. The tire mounting surface has been increased from 2.2" to 2.4" giving the tire a lower profile sidewall and ultimately more traction. Test drivers immediately noticed the improved agility and traction that the VTR wheels provide when combined with Pro-Line's VTR Tires. The time has come for you to jump into the future of 1:10 Buggy racing with Pro-Line's all new VTR wheels and tires!
This is a pair of Electron VTR Buggy Rear Tires. Pro-Line engineers have emerged from the R&D lab with a new tread design to unleash to the World: the Electron VTR! The Electron shares close family ties with Pro-Line's popular ION tire with the iconic dirt grabbing center tread and futuristic styling. The Electron features connected tire tread technology to improve traction and wear on even the most abrasive of indoor track conditions.
The square center pins laid out between the connected tread provide consistent forward and side bite even when the track gets dusty. Test drivers are amazed at the wheelie-popping forward bite and super-fast corner speed that the Electrons provide. The Electron Wave is coming -- Don't get left in the wake. Get your own set of Electron VTR 2.4" tires now!

Got a B5M, TLR22, RB6 or D413? These wheels and tires from Pro-Line could be the competitive edge you're looking for!

I wonder how those wheels would work on carpet? Without the little ridge on the side I wonder if the tire would come unglued due to the high bite through corners.
@TheRCNetwork
@TheRCNetwork 10 лет назад
possibly. I'm not an expert on carpet, but I believe Pro-Line has a line of carpet tires out recently, but only in 2.2 versions

@TrevSRT4

Been trying to find 2.2 wheels to fit the Traxxas Jato and I've found it's about impossible. I wonder if a 2.4" buggy setup would look alright? worth a shot? I also did a rustler vxl front end conversion on my jato so it is 12mm hex up front as well. any thoughts on the 2.4 buggy wheels on the Jato let me know please

Love the videos But most of the items when I go order All I get is back ordered. What's a good supplier that you can get parts from consistently please help. A main. No Tower Hobbie no. Who else Thanks matt
@TheRCNetwork
@TheRCNetwork 9 лет назад
+matt cheadle Yikes......I usually buy my wheels and tires at Nitrohouse, and if not there, direct from Pro-Line. That's pretty scary that the two big names (Amain and Tower) were out of stock.

what do you recommend for a sc10gt on a hard packed dirt track with a loose dusty top cover, like red clay dirt that's hard packed with a dusty top........
@TheRCNetwork
@TheRCNetwork 10 лет назад
I've always had good luck with Pro-Line Calibers on that type of track. The softer the compound you pick the better traction, but they will wear out quicker. The 2.0 version are just a bit wider than the original. Here's a link: prolineracing.com/caliber-sc-2.0

Proline does make a SCT version of this tire, but i don't think the mounting is any different than the standard SCT style.

"Cutting edge of improving the RC world"...?? But isn't this very very similar to the AKA Evo wheels which came out over 6 months ago? Will wheels/ tires from Proline VTR and AKA EVO be compatible?
@TheRCNetwork
@TheRCNetwork 10 лет назад
Yep, they are very similar to the AKA Evo wheels being 2.4" with a 1/8th scale buggy design. As far as compatibility, I'm sure they'll work, but I've always like to keep the same brand wheel and tire, as they ALWAYS fit better. Plus, I like the Pro-Line offerings of tires much better than AKA. They just seem to work at my track better

I wonder if these will not ballon like the 2.2s do?
@TheRCNetwork
@TheRCNetwork 10 лет назад
A lot less, I would suspect. I also started using MIP stickees and that also makes a difference
@brianhilligoss
@brianhilligoss 10 лет назад
Looks like I need to order up some and do the Hex conversion on my trf201x. Haven't seen the MIP stickees before might have to try them out, I always just used contact cement to glue the foam to the wheel.
@TheRCNetwork
@TheRCNetwork 10 лет назад
Ill have a vid out soon on the stickees. I've installed them on the last two sets of wheels and there's a noticeable difference.
@xsjadoridersc

So wait if I understand this right you can use a 2.4 wheel with a 2.2 tire?
@TheRCNetwork
@TheRCNetwork 8 лет назад
+stefan crider I have heard people doing this, but don't recommend it

@SilentlineProduction
@SilentlineProduction 9 лет назад
are these tires good for carpet because i have the 2.4 vtr velocity rims for my D413, but having trouble finding good carpet tires for the 2.4 vtr velocity rims
@SilentlineProduction
@SilentlineProduction 9 лет назад
Or move down to 2.2 for better selection?
@TheRCNetwork
@TheRCNetwork 9 лет назад
+Jonathan Postell II Thats the problem with 2.4......Not that much selection until it catches on more. 2.2, you'll have every option on the planet

Will these tires work on traxxas slash 2wd and do they make ions in these
@TheRCNetwork
@TheRCNetwork 9 лет назад
BLACK 0PS BOSS Theyll fit, but they're intended for 1/10th scale buggy and will be smaller/wider than an SCT wheel
