Hi Lee always glad to hear from you. But to be honest I was looking forward to seeing the TF on a few road trips, as that is what you eluded to previously. Please not move toooo far from you MG roots, as that is I would guess, where most of you devoted subscribers have come from ;)

Glad to have you back, I really enjoyed your “journey” with the MG TF especially since I have one. I’m looking forward to your trails and tribulations with Landrover.

Most of them 1st warning lights would of been due to the low voltage, clear them and most won't come back.

Lee these are notorious for popping up with error codes when the battery goes flat, or the battery is changed (both in your case), clear the error codes with a scanner, then see which faults pop up again.. it just might save you some time chasing non existent errors. You were lucky, with our one it was lying 6 months on a flat battery, when we went to start it it lost the key codes and cost us almost £200 to have the ECU reprogrammed. Enjoy the car, so far looks like a bargain. Ray

Thanks for including lots of little fixes in the very first video! I watched your series as I have an MGF (and you helped me replace my water pump) but will continue to watch your projects :)

Good on ya Lee. You remind me so much of myself as I look out the window at my mgf (now needing a head gasket ) and my discovery 3 which is a runner (well maybe it needs one or two fixes ahem…. ) I even went one step further and have an old 2000 year Boxster S, pretty much every car they tell you to NEVER buy ! Oh but the laughs we have (mostly at ourselves) eh ! Trouble is I’m out in New Zealand so much harder to get parts but hey ho. For the discovery 3 I do find the Gap iid tool to save me a lot of time, as someone else mentioned these cars love to throw random codes which affect the car but once you clear them they run fine for ages as there was no real underlying fault, just stray voltage spikes, or drops !
