You should have tried to set it on fire! Those motors are notoriously terrible. That's why the fuse plug is provided - there were several house and barn fires attributed to these fans. After the motor sits there locked up for a while, it starts getting too hot and belches fire.... which quickly sets the plastic grate and blade alight.

I have a hunter 7 blade box and a Bowman Manning box fan with the far white blades and compared to the crap they make now I cherish what I have. Can someone answer this for me why did quality become cheap and made of plastic fans cars etc

@@beamng929eeee7 true I have one and the motor doesn’t spin fast enough anymore it sounds clackY too. Do not buy these cheap fans. Buy an older fan or one made of metal.
Lasko box fans are crap. My box fan I used to have fell over in my bedroom and the blade snapped right off it don’t get me wrong they are powerful and good fans but durability wise it’s not good

Now these box fans, you can destroy. They are very poorly built, they don’t last, and they don’t blow any air. Modern fans suck. Vintage ones are way better. Destroy the new modern ones only. They’re fun to destroy
Aheem. Modern fans these days have better quality because of a graph fix the old ones didn't blow much air but these modern fans have a lot more quality because I seen one and tested one before and it moves quite a lot of air.
