Im thinking about a mini van for a first car. Not very cool but its cheap, id rip the seats out of it and it would be a cheap pickuptruck :P thoughts guys?
My employer has about 3 of these same color and year even for couriers to shuttle mail back and forth between companies each one has about 300,000 miles on them very dependable.
Peter R I have seen quite a few make it to 300,000 miles. They often have an intake gasket issue, but as long as that is repaired they will run a very long time.
Fat puddin' I’m sorry for your loss, my family is about to sell their 2004 Ford Escape, will be missed! I feel your pain. We got it in 2007 at 40,000 miles Now has 151,000 miles!!!
not2fast4u2c We're not sure which way to go with it yet. Don't know if we want to make it really visible for advertising reasons, or just leave it stealthy, so we can shoot video without drawing a lot of attention.
That's a pretty good lookin' minivan. So many options! You'll be able to get all sorts of shots. maybe even some rear shots out the back if you're feeling ballsy!
My family had an '01 Warner Brothers Edition with the VHS player and tv screen. We had it up until about a month ago when it just ran out of steam with over 180 on the clock. Please put nice exhaust on it just so I can know what that engine could really sound like.
Keep a close watch on the coolant the intake gaskets are crap on the 3400 motor. They all leak at some point my mini van's 3400 started leaking at 60000 miles.
RIPcombat That does seem to be a very common problem with them. If you keep an eye on that, they'll go a really long way though. I've seen tons of them with 250,000 - 300,000 miles.
Christian Celfo No, the supercharger is not a bolt on. The 3.4 and 3.8 are very different. You can, however, swap a 3.8 in place of the 3.4 fairly easily...even use the same motor mounts in many cases. The biggest challenge is blending the two wiring harnesses together.
