If any of you guys are wanting F40s that operated in the USA; VIA F40 locomotives could occasionally be seen operating between Chicago and Toronto. To be prototypical; get 3 Amtrak Phase III Horizon coaches and a Horizon Cafe car (which are coincidentally being sold by Rapido) work behind this locomotive.

I'd love some Caltrain F40PH-2CATs, along with JPBX 920-22, but 920-22 require a new front end, and the 2CATs require new tooling.

The New f40 Boys have come

Well I WAS only going to get one F40 to run with one or two F-units on the Canadian. But after seeing this I may need to reconsider, especially if it means there would be a better chance of seeing an Amtrak version later on down the road.

What DCC system would you recommend I use for these models? I currently use an EZ Command controller made by Bachmann, and it’s kind of limiting in what I can do with it; I don’t think I’ll be able to access all the light and sound features on these models with it

Looks good guys. Well if it was HO and Amtrak I’d be excited. Sorry have no use for N scale way too small. I only model H O Scale and O Scale 2 Rail. The thing I like about O Scale 2 rail is the detail is out standing

Hey Rapido, is there any chance you will do a GMD built SD40-2? I’d love to see a nice model of an Algoma Central or Wisconsin Central unit. Just a thought though. I mostly model n scale though. Can’t wait to receive my C40-8m!

I have preordered N Scale VIA Rail Canada Rebuilt F40PH-2D (DC/DCC/Sound) #6403 (Canada $10 Bill Version) (582507) and N The Canadian Prestige Chateau, Chateau, Park Set 1: VIA Rail Canada (550106). Very impressed by this video and happy that I have placed my preorders with Rapido. After seeing this video I am wondering if I need to add to my order. Would (550104) N The Canadian Add-On Coach, Manor, Chateau: VIA Rail Canada (HEP/Canada Scheme) be appropriate to run with 582507 and 550106?

i have one question but which controllers are fine and compatible with any rapido locomotive because you guys said that something like a mrc 1300 series controller will do something bad to the locomotives.
