Did you go with the yellows? I love the idea of the keys actuating faster it just makes me nervous that all accidentally hit keys without meaning to and set off an automatic or an ability. I’ve heard the yellow is best for FPS but I LOVE the sound of the yellows. Also I have a Logitech g900 mouse (it was stupid to get that mouse, I should have gotten the same brand for everything so the RGB matches up)

They're keyboards are so overpriced, just like Alienware. You can get a much better keyboard like the Ducky Shine 5. If you love RGB lightning you should get the Corsair Strafe RGB.

Actually they are just simply doing what most of the other brands were doing 1.5 years ago. They just chane little things and make it their own invention. Kinda like the apple brand for gaming

Just got mine in today. Gotta say, as someone who's tried both the orange (silent, tactile) and green (loud, tactile) switches, I love the yellows. I kinda miss the tactile feel, but at the same time these switches are SMOOOOOOTH

Thanks for doing this video, I love the yellow switches. I am going to try to swap out the switches in my Razor Chroma Orbweaver Gaming pad to the yellow switches. I really wish they made the gaming pads with the option of these switches. Also, (side note) your guitar, and swords in the background are badass. =D

I bought this keyboard and this was my first keyboard. I always just used my laptop keyboard, but when one of my friends go this keyboard, i felt like i should probably get one. After only one day of having it, i love it so much. this review was very informative. thanks for the help :)

Ive been using Razer products for a long time, i must say that i love them all and i had zero problems with them, i dont know why a lot of ppl hating on them, but for my next keyboard and mouse upgrade ill go with Corsair and Logitech :)

I bought the new razer blackwidow chroma v2 with yellow switch yesterday and i fell in love with it in 2 seconds.I was planning to buy the orange switch but then with yellow. BUT the sound is so nice and its good for FPS games. 1 thing tho if you buy the yellow switch at first you may find it bad cause of the short actuation point and you may type something when you don`t want to but if you type more and more you don`t have the problem anymore.So if you want to game with passion. Buy the yellow switch Own opinion.

My friend recently bought this and for a few weeks I heard nothing but compliments about it, but after that, there were complaints about rust forming, keys glitching by repeatedly registering even though nothing was pressing it, and the only way to fix it was to disconnect and reconnect, though it is an improvement from the previous razer products, I would recommend considering before buying this.

I think you are confusing this with the blackwidow X. I have heard issues about that keyboard rusting but this particular keyboard hasn't even been out for weeks yet.

Hey Brain, I have been using my G710+ for a long time and have been loving it but I'm planning on changing it up, the G710+ had brown cherry mx switches and I really enjoyed the sound and feel of them, which of the razor switches would you say feels as close to a cherry mx brown. Thanks, keep up the great work and amazing quality of your videos! Can't wait for more people to see the great work you put out!

I reallt would;ve like to see dedicated media keys on the new v2. Personally i think it doesn't deserve the "V2" they just added the wrist wrest (which is nice don't get me wrong) updated font and switches. Maybe a more refined designed would;ve been better

I don't really mind the secondary functions not being illuminated. The thing that'd get to me about the keyboard is the lack of dedicated media keys.

yeah, I tried cutting the audio a bit to get rid of them because it is pretty distracting. Obviously I didn't get them all cause it happens so much. I'll take that song off my list for future videos.

nice keyboard, but I chose a K70 Rapidfire last year and still haven't looked back. Only the new K95 Platinum is a draw to me (secondary key illumination ;) ). And I love the cherry MX Speed, and yes it does take some getting used to, but i love it

I just got the Razer blackwidow Chroma V2 with green switches. The yellow switch version is about $60 CAD more, should i get that instead? The green ones are pretty loud, even after I put in the o-rings. I play games like League of Legends, Overwatch and I type a lot. Would the yellows be a better buy or stick with the greens or possibly go orange switch? Love the quality of this board and the wrist rest is great.

Holy shit I love the noise of that, I still don't get why they put 8bit PWM drivers on each LED though, it'd be way cheaper to multiplex the entire keyboard using an LED matrix and then have like 4bit software PWM over the matrix, plus there really wouldn't be a huge difference for the number of colours.

I got this as a replacement for my green switch V2 but while waiting I got a Corsair K95 platinum with brown switches which I love. But Razer did stand by their product and sent a replacement even though they didn't have green switches and with cherry browns I have no "clicking" which I like but oh well. My replacement V2 with yellows will be a replacement for my new Corsair K95 plat.

awesome review as always. I recently ordered an orange switch variant that has unfortunately been delayed for shipment. the smudge proof top and the new font on the keycaps were reason enough for me to upgrade from my current 2014 BlackWidow Ultimate that is still in relatively good condition. in the future, could you do a sound comparison between the green, orange, and yellow switches of this keyboard? I've been looking forever to find a comparison of the three switches.

Vincentius Mahendra it's really what you prefer. I prefer the feel of linear since there's no bump for playing CS, but if I'm writing let's say a mod for minecraft and run into a glitch where I'll be writing another 1000 lines the greens are amazing for typing. I feel as if typists love the greens since it's like a typewriter.

Kiryu Hiragane the switch itself is silent. What you hear is the keycap hitting the bottom of the board. If you stop at actuation it would be silent

I personally have the blackwiddow ultimate 2016 and the caps lock and the num lock etc is the same as the v2 i did not know that it was a problem on the chroma

I hate how they write down "cap" "shift" and "tab" on the key caps instead of printing nice clean looking symbols on it. (like on the razer blade stealth keyboard) And yes, it is annoying, that the secondary functions are not illuminated, I am experiencing that with my Blade Stealth. But overall I think they made a great keyboard and I totally want to get this iteration of the BlackWidow. Just need to think about the type of switch, yellow or green.
