HPI has been around for years . Went out of business and rebuilding back some parts are hard to get right now but HPI makes a good product your not getting crap
That’s my Xmaxx that the video ends on! 😆 That little maverick really was a great basher from what I saw at the event. The parking lot is rough on these vehicles, especially with the angle of that ramp, like you mentioned in the video. But seeing it take all those landings, I was impressed, not gonna lie.
The Maverick brand has been around about 20 years now, created by HPI Europe in the UK. The Quantum has been around since early 2021 in Europe, the USA seems to be the last place to get it.
Same the other way around, Losi Baja Rey 2.0 Ford 100 for example, in Europe not available in any store, Ebay or Horizon but shipping + tax is to much. When I ask about in one RC Shop the reason for such a huge stock Traxxas but no Losi stock he said because of the after sales when some problems. (Or selling Traxxas is more profit for him, lol?)
Looks nice. Saw review on another channel. Still think that the Rlaarlo Omni Terminator, although slightly smaller, is much more well equipped, parts availability is fine and it handles as well as a truck much larger. Also the turnbuckles are adjustable, the center is a diff not just a slipper, the chassis is thick aluminum and the shock towers are aluminum, the shocks are also adjustable aluminum. So much more for the same cost. If I had a hobby store I would be hitting up these bigger China shops to get some inventory. They know the USA is the market of choice.
It looks Nippy😀💥 I live in the UK 🇬🇧 so we're used to Hpi and I remember a time when that's all you could get 'Tamiya and hpi' @local hobby shop in the 80's 90s and early 00s😢 it was an awesome time when RU-vid brought us brands like Axial, Traxxas, Losi then RC4WD and ARRMA 👍💥 Good times
Im new to your channel and the excitement i see on your face when you talk about these RC cars give me the motivation to go out and buy me a Traxxas rc. What do you recommend for a first-timer? I really like the Traxxas xrt
Should bring back the teal MSM shirts to the website love that color maybe some hats too would be awesome love the content mark looks like a great entry brushless truck for someone who wants to upgrade but is on a budget #foreveraMSMfan Rob 🤙🏻
I remember when Dromida was touted as being the next RC favorite. The reviews were harking Dromida as the next Traxxas. Dromida even had a drone or two. They quickly become obsolete. No one even remembers them. I am careful when I see new vehicles introduced, even when sponsored by the big guys. Tamiya, Losi, Traxxas, any one of those that have been around for a long time works for me.
i have a question ! maybe you can help me , can you give me the measurements for the reciever box and batery tray from the Maverick quantum 2 flux mt? i will really apreciated , im looking for a project. Thanks a lot !❤
That is the craziest coincidence, AMain Hobbies just posted a video on this as well, said they can't sell them. Just messing with ya, love all the content!
Hey Mark ....when you do a review like this again. Get a pair of those half round spectacle that sit on the end of the nose. Then when you are being serious we will understand !.....Greta work mate ...keep it up
HPI is a old brand they went out of business and got bought out they make quality strong parts only thing is they are rebuilding the company and parts are hard to get they are getting back into the game slowly but still make a good product quality there trucks are tough.
Hopefully, the Q2 doesn't turn out to be as bad as the original Quantum. Personally, I never owned one...but, from all I've heard & read, it was akin to a Yugo (if anyone remembers that car from the 80s). I remember a Cadillac dealership giving a Yugo away free with the purchase of any Cadillac, if that tells you how bad they were. Supposedly, the Q2 is a nice improvement over the original, but no one will know for certain until they're actually available for purchase by the masses.
The Quantum2 is night & day better in every area than the original Quantum. It's a completly new design platform, tough as nails. Using new very durable plastics, new better radio as well. I have the old original Quantum Flux & this new Quantum2 Flux, its a very good budget truck. The old Quantum Flux would break like crazy, pvc body would shatter just by looking at it. Q2 body is Polycarbonate & takes a beating.
Put some different wheels and tires on it bro… I’m absolutely sure that you have something that would make that thing look spectacular compared to how it looks now 😳… yeah, the green sucks
NEW Brand!? 😂😂 HPI and Maverick have been around for donkeys years now here in Australia… you just took your Traxxas fanboi glasses off for a minute and got a reality check
THE HPI WR8 FLUX 3 BRUSHLESS SUBARU WRC RALLY THOUGH IS DEFINITELY NOT A PIECE JUNK , NOR IS THE HPI MAVERICK QUANTUM R FLUX RACE TRUCK , NETHER IS IS THE MAVERICK STRADA TC BRUSHLESS TOURING CAR EVEN THOUGH THIS PARTICULAR BUDGET TOURING CAR USES PHILIPS SCREWS THROUGH OUT . I DON'T HAVE NO PROBLEMS WITH ANY OF MY HPI AND MAVERICK RC'S here in the UK , even though i have cheaper and more expensive RC'S than my HPI and MAVERICK RC'S . The HPI and MAVERICKS i have are some of the best of their model RC'S . I didn't bother with buying their buggy or truggy because i have the HoBao Hyper VS2 buggies in my RC collection .
