*New registration process for IENs seeking RN licensure with BCCNM regulatory board.
FOR BCCNM: what you need to know about Nursing skills and knowledge assessment.
● The NCAS assessment has two parts: a computer-based assessment (CBA) which can be completed at Prometric test centres around the world, and a simulated lab assessment (SLA) which must be completed in Vancouver, BC, Canada (this requires that you travel to Canada)
● When you sign a Return of Service (ROS) agreement, you get financial assistance to help offset the costs of pursuing nursing registration in British Columbia, including waivers on the NCAS Assessment as well as bursary reimbursements.
To access these fundings for Internationally Educated Nurses, go to bccnm.ca, under Internationally educated nurses, click www.nursingjobsbc.ca to apply for funds .
