Please my question is am a Nigeria Register Nurse but I want to use this care giver route to come to Canada is it advisable and what are the requirements
@omowumititi1579 you can follow the above to guide you in building yours. If you need a professional resume written, I can do that for you at a fee. Kindly reach out to me on ig @ o_funky1.
Hello thank you for this information. Can I refer my case, I took my NCLEX in Australia. After I successfully transfer my score from Australia to Ontario, can I also use that NCLEX score to apply for other provinces? or just in that province where I transfer my score? Thank you!
@TheZnivek you can transfer to any other regulatory board in Canada. You don't need to use NCLEX score again. Just get your license from CNO, then transfer it to any other province that you like. You can watch my other video on how to transfer your license
How about BCCNM (British Colombia College of Nurses & Midwives) is it easy to transfer my US License to British colombia or would you recommend I transfer to Novascotia first then later British Colombia.
@misspetty1 it's not all provinces that accept Nclex results directly from US or take Nclex as equivalence to any educational gap like Ontario. It's advisable to always check with the nursing regulatory board or visit their website to see what the requirements are before applying.
Please nurse O. What if someone have an engineering degree or law degree and have acquired a certificate or diploma in healthcare program, which of the certificates should I evaluate? Is it the engineering or law degree which appears to be the highest degree or the diploma or certificate in healthcare? I’m confused as to which certificate I need to evaluate with WES. Thank you.
I'd advise that you evaluate your highest certificate cos you might also need it later for immigration or academic purposes, although you might need to upgrade it then. Also, it'll be great if you have a caregiver certificate that should be included in your resume
@@nurseo3408 okay. Thank you so much. So, do I wait until I get a job offer before evaluating? Because I wanted to start it and they website asked if the evaluation is for job application or for immigration and I got confused. I studied law but I’m currently doing some certification programs in healthcare. I was advised to evaluate my highest credential which happens to be my law degree but the plan is to use the healthcare certificates to apply for healthcare jobs but I wanted to start putting all other things in place first. Now I don’t know if my evaluation should be for employment purposes or immigration purposes. Please help me with that if you can. Thank you
Hello madam, your video is really helpful.. I am badly in need of your help please. I currently have license in Nova scotch but I don’t know what to do next, do they need English proficiency test ? and if yes which provinces can I go to bypass that?
@@adenikeadesope7457 transfer to Nova scotia first, declared US license only to them, and transfer finally to Alberta as Canadian RN coming from another province rather than from US.
@benedictanambah4103 I hope the process will be the same. However, I strongly recommend that you transfer first to Nova scotia, then, to Newbrunswick as Canadian Ran
Hi, thanks for the informations. I have some questions. Can i apply for the US route as a new graduate BSN with no work experience? If yes, then after transferring my nclex(rn) to a cno and go through express entry, can i be able to directly apply for a medical school without having to obtain a bachelor degree in Canada?
Hello Nurse O Please, after passing the NCLEX-RN via NSCN, should one apply for the Canadian RN Registration and Licensure now, even if you don't intend to move to Canada until the next 5 years for instance. Thanks for your help
@Nurse_Pauline you can, but remember you'll have to be paying for renewal yearly. It's best to be registered now, especially now that the process is easier. You can also reinstate the license whenever you're ready. My opinion though
Could you please give me some idea regarding transferring my license from texas board of nursing to CNo and when liscence number will appear after giving nclex. Its been more than 15 days i have not received it.
@wintimaracheal4909 no particular amount. Just the cost of getting the requirements is all I can think of at the moment The application fee will be on IRCC website once the program is launched.
@atinukeaderibigbe9583 thank you. Well, as a teacher who cares for the children, you're also a caregiver. I'd advise that you get the requirements for the upcoming caregiver pilot program ready and apply once it's launched. You can message me on ig @ o_funky1 for the link to the caregiver pilot programs requirements.
I am eligible for this new program of caregiver ,I have my language test, my evaluation of certificate please the thing I need how to have an employer please help me
This requires that you apply to various caregiver job opportunities. I'm so sorry I'm not in any way connected with immigration officer or employer in Canada
Immigration applications sometimes take a while . I'd advise that you email the contact number provided to you to any concerns regarding your application.
This was amazing, Nurse O! Thank you so much! I just have one question. Please for someone who went through the US route with an RN diploma from Nigeria and a top up BSN in the UK, good IELTS result and has gone through the CGFNS process and passed NCLEX, do I still have to start from NANS or just submit my documents (CGFNS report etc) to the regulatory body of whatever province I’m interested in Canada like BC and Ontario? I would truly appreciate any form of guidance I can get. Thank you again!
@EmekaOUzo thanks for watching. Every regulatory board has their requirements. For Ontario, if you're not registered in any other Canadian jurisdiction, then NNAS is a must. I strongly advise that you should apply with NSCN, just pay the application fee of 57.50, transfer your license from US, and get licensed to become a Canadian RN. You can then transfer from Nova Scotia to other Canadian provinces of your choice, not as an outsider but as a Canadian applicant. You can message me on ig @ o_funky1 for more guidance.
I have a question plssss, did nurse yemi at any point did a caregiver certification course before she could apply for a caregiver job? I need a response regarding this so to prepare one towards this new pathway
No, just her resume portrayed her as a caregiver. Since you'll be evaluating your certificate with ECA, I'd say getting a caregiver certificate might not be necessary as you're already a nurse. I'd, however, suggest that you have cpr/ First Aid certificate included in your resume.
