Just requested the library buy Ash's Cabin because of this. That looks very much my brand of book. I've had Bury Your Gays preordered on Libro for a bit. now. I am SO excited!
I seldom manage to read books when they first come out unless it's something specific I'm waiting for, it takes me a while to hear about them and I guess I'm kind of waiting to see whether other people like them or not. How do you find out about new releases? Are they recommended to you by something like good reads or are you looking through a particular online source?
I spend WAY too much time researching books - I don't have one resource, but I spend a lot of time here on RU-vid, on Goodreads, Googling authors and looking for specific things like new historical fiction, etc. I'm also a reviewer, so I discover a lot of books through NetGalley and directly through publishers.
