did the heartworm prevention cure your dog? my pit has the same problem and don't know the cause or what to give him to help.

@@nvateach1 No it did not he is still itchy and I gave him nexgaurd for ear mite problem and now his skin is burned was not a side effect on box, but Chewy pharmacist....said it was definitely a reaction to the nexgaurd! Just cant understand all our poor dogs and cats are put through and we are not fully warned! I'm heading tword natural tired of hidden toxins God bless U. And your puppy. I've used coconut oil on his mouth bumps and seems better than b4 and using probiotic for several weeks and getting good results...not gone but, better

I agree with you Ellen with the total of your comment , truly better off with natural remedies , a whole lot safer than pharma and works ... Food .. I cook up a plate of fresh veg's , rice and a piece of cooked liver mixed in so the veg's have a meaty scent , no packets kibble , tin or other ... Good over all immune boost and now no itches, eye goop , fleas ...

I’ve considered this but it doesn’t change with the seasons and I’m already using all nontoxic cleaners, laundry, dish soap, whatever for my entire family so I wouldn’t even know where to start beyond that.

@KnoxCompound I'm becoming more and more convinced that the needless yearly vaccinations with non-core vaccines are responsible for total immune confusion for our animals! Not just the animals but human medicine as well! I am not happy about the veterinarians still not speaking up about the harm caused to the immune system by these practices! The scientific studies are on the American Veterinary Medical website! This information is proof, on the side effects! This is a much bigger problem than we think! The data is public, and if I could get it, I'm sure it is common knowledge in the veterinarian community! why?I ask for the love of God would they not follow the guidelines when there is Medical data?Even the core ones that are strictly law , forced on us every 3 years mandatory are proven to be effective for well over 5 to 7 years ! It is only because the study funded focused on this time frame, but it was a fact that animals titered showed immunity well after the 7 years, and they concluded that further tests even showed immunity well after 7 years and scientist were confident that they were covered for the life of dog! The law is a problem that we really need to rectify for the sake of the animals! the law about vaccinating every 3 years for rabies is ridiculous! It is most frustrating as a pet parent and a parent,who also used to work in the medical profession to see how transactional the medical field is becoming! This is not just the veterinarian community and human medicine as well! l remember the reason why I became a nurse and it wasn't about the money; I wanted to help people! I am a firm believer that the minute you get used to seeing people who are in your care in pain and it doesn't hurt you inside or make you shed a tear in private , and I am talking about feeling empathy for another human being; the day you do not feel that way , is a good indicator that you are not in the right profession! I feel like the medical field is not for everyone, and it is clear that corporate has a hand in the problem! It's a shame because it is making the most money on the sick and suffering! Our pain, love, and desperation to want to save our dogs and cats! The greed has no bounds ! I have to say that it is time for you, me, and all of the pet parents to come together and help to make sure that we use the knowledge that we learn to change the way the medical profession is used to practicing and make sure that things are moving towards better! Change forces us to grow! We have to be willing to go forward with the times, and we have to be willing to take chances! We learn that there is a better way, knowing with new knowledge we have to make an effort to make sure that we use it properly and pass it along so that we can do something with it! Knowledge is power, but only if you are willing to use it! I'm just thankful for all the great things that I have learned from the great people who are using the knowledge that they have to make a change! Thanks for all the great work ! LONG POST... BUT YOU MIGHT WANT TO READ IT ALL REGARDING DR MARTYS!!! Um... before everyone considers Switching to Dr Marty's... be forewarned. The FDA is about to go over them with a Flea comb!!! Last Year (Around my New Years) my dogs Started to Refuse to eat their food after they Got Sick From eating Just A Few Bites of Dr Martys! I ended up Rushing Both dogs to the vet and got a bill of over $800.00! They Barely Survived. And they only begrudgingly took a couple of bites that made them That sick! They were Vomiting Blood! It had Always smelled like Sunday Dinner Pot Roast. (Umm...) almost good enough to eat myself! Then when inflation (shrinkflation) was starting, products were being recalled, cheap fillers and smaller portions were happening etc. I noticed that the "Premium Dr Marty's" had started to smell... Off. Well.. Actually Off Putting to be kind. It's Somewhere between playdough, saw dust and sour milk. It REEKS. It's Nothing like it was before. And by coaxing my 2 boys to eat just a couple bites, I almost paid the Ultimate Price for Their "Premium Life Saving Dog Food". My boys recovered, & I switched them to Orijen because they were Refusing to go near the Dr Martys (not that I blame them) and they went from being picky eaters (Pre Dr Martys, then Post Dr Martys) to Gobble Monsters again asking for seconds of the Orijen. I just Couldn't believe every thing I had thought about Dr Marty's was a lie. I am Very Disappointed. 😞 😢 My boys Still Love the Orijen but just walk out of the room when I opened ALL of the bags to see if they were all the same. They Were. Be FOREWARNED! There WILL BE A RECALL. Buying this food is Probably NOT a good idea. But it's your Furbabies. I had bought 11 bags to last them the month. So, 2 bags in, I FOUND that not only did all of them Smell Horrific, BUT I found SHREDDED PLASTIC IN MY BOYS FOOD! That piece of kibble is tenderly wrapped up and in an old pill bottle being mailed with the rotten food to the FDA Tomorrow. I DON'T want to he on the news. I am a Very Private Person just Struggling to do the best by my retired Service Dog and my current Service Dog. IF my Service Dog is Sick or Injured by an untrained pet, we're Both home bound like a Felon with an ankle bracelet. I Don't Leave His Side, and he Never Leaves Mine. Keep in mind too... This Stuff is created AT THE PLANT. It's fairly Faglie so a piece of blue shredded plastic in the Middle of the kibble is Impossible to fake. I have the photo(s) and will link them here if I can. Idk. Otherwise, I can open a separate email account and send pics that way. I don't want to get sued by them. But this HAS to NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN. For reference, I contacted the company Immediately (after 9pm) and by 11am (Est) 8am Pacific, they were back in touch the following day offering a full refund and requesting the lot numbers off the bags and invoices with photos. If you divided the bags Roughly into 1/3rds, they ALL had different Lot numbers from the others and the "contaminated" (with the piece of plastic through the Middle of the kibble) one was part of that shipment... so with 3 lot numbers, this had to be Wide Spread and other dogs getting sickened too. I gave them Both and said I would give them 30 days to fix the problem, buy another bag anonymously and see if they had improved. I can't tell Much of a difference. They really haven't. And, I've been More than patient with these folks. I Did get a refund. But Odd, Rotten smell and Plastic?!?! If your familiar wit Dr Marty's you'll know that their food is extruded into rounded cone shapes that are fairly fragile. You can't Put a piece of plastic through The Middle of a piece of their kibble. It'll crumble. This Is Real. Be Careful!

Usually salmon based food will help. Read the ingredients and make sure no chicken by products are listed.

What are the symptoms? My Maltese cross won't eat raw chicken... he gags on it and would rather starve that day.

@@natalieherak7456 Constant severe itching and reddish pink spots on the groin/stomach/nose/ears. My dog would scratch herself so hard that her back leg hitting the floor would sound like someone was knocking on the door and she’d rub her face on a throw rug in my bedroom until her chin was raw. It was miserable for her - and me, thinking someone was at the door in the middle of the night because she couldn’t sleep more than a few hours without scratching. Don’t even try the Cytapoint (sp?) injections or Apoquel pills - both very bad for dogs…just look up the side effects, which include death.
