Link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YCV4k5kk8uc.html A highly requested video covering Skyrim Animation Mods is finally here! This video being quite a challenge to create in an understatement, so I really hope you guys enjoy it! These animations truly provide next generation animated experience for Skyrim Special Edition, and are worthwhile to pick up for improved combat and non - combat scenarios. Please do me a favor and press that like button if you enjoyed it, if this video reaches 5k likes, I will do a part 2 covering even more animation mods as there are tons of them available for showcase. Sorry for asking but is SkySA compatible with CGO and Vanargand/leviathan? or do I have etc overwrite each other? Also: what alternatives are there for SkySA. You seem really experienced in modding
I’m assuming these mods currently only work on the Special Edition of Skyrim and not the Anniversary? I don’t own the Anniversary but I’m considering buying it but it seems most of the mods available won’t work if I do.
The only mods you will truly find an issue with if I understand things correctly are ones that require skse, and more of those are being updated all the time. Just look to see if they have an AE version
It's very nice how your videos are very easily consumable and straight to the point. Editing is always top tier, and you put a lot of effort into them. Nice job as always Syn.
Syn, the fact that you adapt a mod showcase by making a background story and cinematics with amazing editing is incredibly creative. It's a privilege to watch your videos.
It was a truly amazing showcase, im definitely subscribing. As a new pc gamer i was wonderin if all of the weapon animations could be enabled together or would it cause problems?
Me yesterday: Alright. I have finished my final playthrough of Skyrim. *Uninstalls Skyrim and all mods* Syn Gaming the next day: Uploads another spectacular video with amazing mods. Me: ... Ah, here we go again.
Absolutely stellar work on the video Syn! DAR has certainly opened up so many possibilities for animators and immersion enthusiasts and gave birth to some amazing mods such as Everglaid and JaySerpa's work. Thank you for not only masterfully showcasing the Leviathan and Vanargand series, but also for conveying the themes they represent better than I could ever do! 🙏
Insane how much the game evolved thanks to all the heroes in the modding community. If you can afford go and hug and donate to your favorite modder, they deserve it! :D
Yeah, I’ve just picked up Skyrim again with these dope ass mods. Tbh the game feels like a completely different game and I mean that in the best possible way!
I love adding quests, textures, lighting, unique followers, and awesome weapons to Skyrim. But none of these transform the game like combat animations do. You have taken one of the main mechanics of the game and modded it to be great. I 100% support a RU-vid series on the topic, for a better Skyrim experience for everyone. As always, stunning work on the video. Keep doing what you do!
I know a lot of these mods are limited to the Pre-AE exe, but it is relieving to see the modding community rise to the occasion and blast away expectations, getting out much needed updates and working on ones we may see a lot sooner than anticipated. I'm sure ES6 will be a knock out of the park, despite most concerns, but there's a large part of me that the longevity of Skyrim and its modding community will see it live as long if not longer than newer titles.
This type of positivity is always appreciated amongst sea of passionate but miss guided negativity towards official game updates by Bethesda. Modding scene's lifespan has only begun :)
Love all your vids Syn, you've been a big influence in my mod choices. Keep up the good work and thanks for Premiering this vid! Such a fun experience.
I've been following skyrim mod channels basically since mods were popularized, but by far holy shit it took 10 years for a "just another mod showcase" to be made in this manner and this high of a level of execution? The bar you raised is fucking high, man. You deserve a lot more views and a lot more subs, imo.
Wonderful video! The transitions between showcase and gameplay were on point, the sound effects were well placed and not over the top. Great stuff all around!
@@SynMods Of course I did :) I do it on all your videos because they all deserve it to be honest! You are one of the finest skyrim mod youtber! Keeo going! I'm sure you will hit 100k sub in no time!
god the footage you provided in this is both beautiful and unbelievable. I keep finding myself going "what the hell...what game is this... oh it.. its still skyrim..."
Of the three male armors he uses, I don't know what the samurai bonemold armor is but the other two are dragon fighter and dragon slaughter by SunJeong (googling those with her name will bring up her website or patreon, both free)
Thanks for the quality video, as always. I recently started to mod animations into my game so the timing of this could not be better. I just have one question: what animations did you use for the katana fight towards the end of the video? They look incredibly sick and would fit perfectly for a samurai type character I'm planning.
Man, been watching a few of your videos lately. Makes me really want to play Skyrim again. My last play through was like 4. Or 5 years ago. I remember i had close to 100 hours before i even really started playing. Between watching videos, downloading mods, redoing things. It was a lot of work but a lot of fun. One thing i wish there was is a way for someone to create the game with all of the mods and then save it so that someone for example could just download the exact game pretty much with all mods already installed and in order. Then at that point you could tweak what you wanted before starting. Some of the ENB’s and animation mods are tough to work with. Would be nice to just have everything all the way done.
Great selection of animation mods! If anyone's got an idea where the dagger with the black chinese dragon engraving is from let me know. It looks stunning!
If you can properly install D.A.R. then you are an expert level modder. I had to admit to myself that it was beyond my capability when making my new load order. Once it started talking about setting up animation profiles in your game folder I knew it was beyond me. Stuff sure looks incredible though.
It's a little bit daunting at the start, but once you get a hang of it, it's a walk in the park, honest word. Try joining my Discord and ask for assistance, I guarantee you someone will teach you how to work your way around DAR in no time.
Would love to see a part 2! Is there a way to have a different animation set depending on a skill level? So a low 2 handed skill could use the clunky fighting style of CGO while some of the ones shown here could be used at a higher level. Or if say 1 handed was maxed, a more aggressive animation set could be chosen is heavy armour was also maxed, verses a more elegant style if light armour was instead maxed. Love the vids, your one of the few channels id watch regardless of if the content interests me (it always does lol) just for the editing style!
Unsure whether something like this exists, but if the part 2 or 3 comes out, I will expand the scope of animations that I will cover, so who knows what I'll find :) And thank you, glad you enjoy the videos!
I'm not sure about you guys, but as a former Track/XC athlete I can tell you that's not how women run, but it's still much more smooth and lively than vanilla. With or without weights, might I add, as military training can give you something more akin to armor with vested weights, and even then they don't run like that but I'm still impressed overall. Can't wait to try it out!
I did mention that it looks cool but that is not practical, to be fair. It's a fantasy game, expecting realism from every single aspect of the game is unnecessary in my opinion.
@@SynMods I'm more so noting how it's funny that it's called "Tilted Away", when it's quite the opposite. Mind you, I suppose it's not stated what it is tilted away from.
Don't want to spoil this video, but there is a video in my library that puts full focus on first person gameplay experience and all animation improvements.
11:07 "This doesn't even look like Skyrim anymore. The only place where you can see something fully vanilla is the blood effect on the screen" _Was what I wanted to say,_ but then I realized not even that is in the base game...
Absolutely beautiful video, lots of dedication and incredible production quality. The writing is seamless and the audio-visual aspect of the video does an incredible job at conveing the information being discussed in the video. I'm absolutely in love with your content, and your understanding of proper skyrim modding really shows through your work. I hope I see lots more from you in the future!
@@SynMods hey, I'm just glad I get to throw in my two cents before these comment sections get a bit too crowded for this kind of interaction to be feasible 😅 Hopefully such a time comes soon! Have a great day!
Thanks for this. I'm setting up SSE for my the first time on a new computer (stuck with Oldrim through the life of the last one) and downloaded a lot of these.
Syn, You have some of the best videos for Skyrim mods and a lot of mine have come from your video reviews. Thank you. On that note.. What is that armor set at :08? I really like it and want it for my next playthrough.
Just got back from Fallout 4 to Skyrim ( because nobody truly abandones Skyrim ) and this video is a good summary of whats going on with the scene. Good stuff specially the editing on the arena segment
There was a crazy katana combo that included resheathing and drawing with a strike, is that a part of the mods you showed here? Or perhaps another more katana specific mod
was actually going through your older videos to find a good enb and wanted a animation pack or at least ones that look decent and here this vid about to pop... installed flower girls mod as one mod i use needed it....the walk animations are so bad.
For me it's always been a struggle to mod Skyrim. It's been a constant loop of me wanting to play Skyrim than downloading a few mods, than a few more, then a few more again until something finally breaks and I just delete the whole game out of frustration.
I can't remember the name, but one of the best animation mods I had found made it so that when you cast a spell you snap your finger while whipping your hand. It was awesome
Thank you for this. The timing is excellent considering I just started using True Directional Movement and therefore 3rd person more often than I used to.
Incredible video and amazing editing. It would be extra amazing to see a quick mention as to whether each mod is compatible with AE or only SE for future vids.
Is the ground sweeping animation at 10:42 part of Vanargand or did you make it yourself? Because i didn't find it in any preview videos of the Vanargand mods. The closest i could find was a similar animation from Sky Idles. And thanks for the great video!
Great showcase your videos are constantly improving, thank you for the timestamps and links in the description! Installed all the mods not even reading the description hope it works xdd.
Skyrim is truly an amazing magical game. The modders truly make the game amazing and the possibilities of mods just get better and better with time, it's insane. I thought we hit the modding roof years ago but new ones just keep blowing me away and changing the game.
Im out of words... This video is INCREDIBLY well made. Thx for showing those mods, I was just about to start modding my game animations!! Alas Im subscribing right now, your videos are on another level lol
Would be nice if you could make a video on compilations of mods (for example a set of animations that would cover melee combat, magic and archery) and on how/which order to install those correctly. Hell, I would even donate you some money for this if it would save me some time and get my game to look like what you showcased here. I imagine people would appreciate something like this. Not entirely sure if you don't already have something like this setup. Edit: Never mind, you actually do have the exact same idea setup on Patreon, exactly as I described. :D Thank you very much for your hard work good sir.
I myself want more as I'm an ICU RN and 68: don't have time to learn all ins and outs to tweak my game. Good video. And I downloaded opera gx on my iPad
Okay nice video but...whats the mythic dawn mod called you play throughout the video? It looks very interesting, even more then the presented mods :D Or was this just completely made up by you for the purpose of this video and it doesnt exists as a mod? :D
I would love to see animations/mods that works well with Combat Gameplay Overhaul. Been using CGO for awhile, but some of the animations I would like to change.
5:30 imo the "parade rest" pose doesn't really make sense for someone wearing medieval armor, especially one like shown in this video wearing plate and carrying a shield.
Great video syn.👍🏿 I can tell you take a lot of pride in the content you create and I Loved the filming style of the video plus all the animations you covered where very well picked, and much like the elder scrolls 5 I feel like this video will stand the test of time. also please do a part 2, I’m really enjoying this type of content.😂🙏🏻
Perhaps a bit on a short side, but again, there is just so many things to showcase out there, it's difficult to give proper spotlight to everything. Part 2 might have more focus on magic casting.
I've watched a few of your videos but struggle to follow. Are your modlists, like ENBs, combat or this Animated ones, suppose to work together or do I get clever and make combinations? Are they compatible with each other? Can the behaviour engine and replacer run together? What about script extenders? About to do first playthrough and totally overwhelmed. All I know is, I will not play vanilla (judging by many, many vids). I just need a short list of mods to get me going. Apart from busting my brain, great vids - great editing and mod coverage. It's the devil in the details here that screw me over.... Thanks for any help :)
I am pretty new to modding and how animations work in Skyrim so I would like to ask if I should worry about these mods affecting overall game performance (script load and all that stuff). Amazing video btw and you just gained a new sub!
