Another year, another combat overhaul! This combat synergy using 8 - ish mods is my favorite out of all of the previous ones, as is it incredibly easy to set up & works flawlessly if managed properly. Additionally, this combat overhaul makes sure not to abandon the First Person Perspective fans, and provides alternative options if you prefer the be immersed as Elder Scrolls games originally intended. Any questions for me? Comment down below and I will do my best to answer to as many as I can!
I can simply not thank you enough. honestly. i startet modding fallout 4 via vortex mod manager all the way back in 2020 and always tried desperately to recreate these sick looking modded games and pretty much failed due to a lack of experience, knowledge and, of course, cuz my pc kinda sucked a** and couldnt run it even if i did something right for once. Your work has been far beyond and way more than helpful in every way imaginable. thanks, and may anyone who reads this have a good time playing / modding
fr, these modders need to work together and make quick modpacks- so thats its easier to implement these mods. the same way the stalker anomaly community does.
@@beebop7039 I wish Skyrim on console could install 87 mods. Most of my mods are for graphics, textures, and some levels of immersion. Like the Open Cities mod for example. I fucking LOVE the fact the there's no loading screens when going through city gates. It's such a simple change but it does wonders for immersion.
How about making some moves like the different evasions be part of armor sets. For example, you get the thieves and/or ass ass in armor set from their factions and story, and then you get the agile evasion type replacing the default evasion. And so others moves, animations and bonus things.
Well I guess it's time to giver a fresh download on the PC and spend twice as much time modding and troubleshooting than I do playing but hey that's what it's all about babyyuy
Goes without saying that I get impressed with every upload with creative cinematics and gameplay merges to showcase a mod. It's quite inventive to say the least.
its not that bad , i mod both skyrim and fallout and have amazing animations first and third. although skyrim is 100% a third person game for me and fallout is way more fun in first person. @@BuddhistZenDave
I only ever played ES5 on a console, so now I have the SE/AE edition on pc, using a 32"1440p monitor I wanted to see what the modded version was all about. O M G. I had no idea just how epic the modding community for this game is and the shear number and quality of the mods. Truely a huge number of talented people and a lot of work. Thank you for sharing these vids to showcase them. Now I just need to learn how the heck you put them in a game and make it all work.
@@xLordxMarsx Which is fine, imo. Many of the animations in ER are quite good, especially if they're being brought into a game that released over 10 years. Just seeing the Bloodhound weapon art being used with a greatsword in this video was pretty incredible
SCAR is crashing, I got the 1.6 version and the AE patch, skyrim does not even launch and gives me the message "REL/Relocation.h(1101): failed to open address library file"
i hate how in order to get most of these mods you have install other mods which require other mods that require even more mods just to get the main list you have. tedious work but worth it i say
Although I do appreciate the hard work the modding community has done when it comes to combat animations - I was never a fan of the Dark Soul's and Elden Ring's combat system. I'm looking for more authentic techniques like in Kingdom Come: Deliverance yet more simplistic like in Mount & Blade. I'm not a fan of flashy, over the top anime style combat and although that is just me I'm sure there are those who share the same sentiment.
Nope, I'm 100% with you. One of my biggest gripes is that I can't find a hand-to-hand animation replacer that isn't either some weeb's anime fanimation pack or some knuckle-dragging dudebro's MMA fanimation pack.
I love darksouls but for my first person type rpgs I'd rather more so on the lines of what you said. I think being able to block and even blocking at the right time staggering an enemy would be fun tho just needs to be done with taste rather than the anime style of fighting.
@@DaddyVader87 Some of the combat overhaul mods are pretty cool and I would personally call Precision a must-have, although I don't personally run any of the movesets or more complex overhauls because after a certain point you start bloating your load order with requirements and sub-requirements and I have enough of that just from Legacy of the Dragonborn.🤣
@@DaddyVader87 Honestly it depends, personally I use Precision so the hitboxes attach to the weapon rather than the animation, True Directional Movement to open up overall movement and add targeting ability, then Combat Gameplay Overhaul to add in some stuff like changing grip on the weapon, dodge rolling, and mid-air attacks. It's all best used with the Nemesis Behavior Engine. As for animations I go for Verolevi's, they look good and work well with Precision, and they cover attacks, idles, casting. Most other animations I've found are too over-the-top anime crap or require another framework I really didn't want to mess with.
Do yourself and the world a favor next time, my dude. Don’t go showing off this fancy unrecognizable over-modded Skyrim saying shit like “It’s easy! It only requires X amount of mods”, when you know good and well each of the mods listed here requires like seven other mods, which require five other mods, which require ten other mods. That’s false advertising
10 MODS LOL, Good luck for you buddy there's like 80 mods for you to install to get all of that shit to work and half of them are broken or inconsistent
I went along and downloaded all of them as well. Some of the combat features work, but mostly all of them are broken and do not compare to the videos combat lmao. Waste of time
great video but even with me downloading all the mods I couldn't get close to what was shown in the video :C could you make a video guide really showing step by step how you arrived at this amazing result :D PS: I know you probably have this on your Patreon but I live in Brazil and it's pretty inaccessible to me
What are your thoughts on book of shadows? I’ve tried using it with most of these mods before and it really seems to mess with the ai. They will fight for like 30 seconds then give up and run away to blow their horn.
I don't actively use it. I think the idea is cool, and can make for a good showcase, but I am personally not a fan of the implementation. That is not to say it's a bad choice, quite contrary, I just personally don't see myself using it.
Some are cool but most change the game so much it feels like the most modern games wich took the unique feel away from skyrim. Ik a lot of ppl dont like the combat but i do.
@@SynMods As you said, you don't post tutorials... but I think people who do not know how to set up mods should need one... I'm having problems by doing all by my own since I'm not an expert in this field. I think you should do a video in which you show step by step how to do since all this beautiful viedo you have done is all pointless if others can't make things work.... is just a fancy beautiful showcase of something you will never have
I picked up Special Edition and Anniversary Edition. I'm finding that dodge mods do not work for me, for whatever reason. DMCO, TUDM, and TK's, nothing. I have the button assigned separately in the Dodge Framework to be V, but no matter what combination of keys I use, I can't dodge.
Great video. Not everyone learns the same, thanks for verbally explaining these mods. I think the only thing that is missing is a separate power attack mod. Which availability depends on your game version.
Just a heads up, some of the mods might require USSEP, and some of your own mods might require the SE version of Skyrim. USSEP doesn't mark its download as AE only, and the SE version is hidden so you can't download it without a link. If you're experiencing swimming in air, its because you're using the AE version of USSEP with the SE version of Skyrim.
dude, the team behind that mod are going insane. There are nearly constant people complaining about there being no official old file for 1.5.97, and every time there's one post from one of them, and then the thread is locked. It's always the same thing. Someone says something normal like "I'd like to use an older version of the mod because I want to play on the stable version we've been using since 2017", then the guy responds with some variation of "You're stubborn. Update the game. The downgrader is malware. You're asking us to double development time to keep two versions up to date. Not our problem. Go bug other mod makers who stopped logging in when their mod was finished six years ago. Thread locked."
Mc Rex I'm running, mco, valhalla, precision, DAR(obviously) and a good deal of the mods showcased in this video, non of which rely on USSEP, I know this because they work in my setup and I'm not running USSEP atm. Honestly at this point people might want to consider forwardign changes from USSEP in their mods and just remove dependancy/support for Arthmoor mental tantrums. RedGeoBlaze you are correct Arthmoor and co have gone full on crazy authoritarian, 1.5.97 is still to this day the only stable version of the game with the most content, the only thing you can't do with it is play "skyrim together" as that requires the current 1.6.440(correct me if wrong).
Is there currently a way to get Tk dodge got AE? It's my favorite dodge mod by far but I haven't been able to download it for my most recent playthrough.
As you said I don't like how many modders want to turn Skyrim into a Souls Game, why don't they just play these games. I would love to see more mods that overhauls first person in Skyrim cause so they do immersion too.
I was just following last year's combat overhaul video when this one dropped. Lucky me! I seem to be having an issue with bash attacks though, their radius is huge and doesn't line up at all with the animation. Currently looking for a solution and I'll update this comment if I find anything. EDIT1: It's the Bashing overhaul mod.
Some awesome mods, though I wish the movesets and attacks wasn't as high fantasy and over-the-top. I love Elden Ring, but I think it's game's movesets, flips and spins look out of place in Skyrim, which despite it's magic and dragons, doesn't seem the kind to defy gravity and laws of physics, rather augment it where necessary with magic as the context
You mentioned we can find your load orders on your patreon for free @13:10 . I can only seem paid membership levels that provide the load orders? Im pretty unfamiliar w patreon so I may just be missing it but where can I find the load order you mentioned?
Sorry if this question has already been asked 😅 but what is the staff/spear? weapon and animation used at the beginning of the video when showcasing weapon trails???
Hey Syn! Love your content man, ive been trying to find a female assassin style armour set, and then i saw your character in this vid. Any chance you could link the one your character wears in this video? Id be so happy if you can. Keep up the great content!
i am convinced i will never be able to do this to my game. i would fucking LOVE to play a skyrim playthrough with this combat, but ig im just too dumb to know how to. RIP my dreams of having actual combat in skyrim
Okay serious question: Did the modders find a way around the Skyrim limitations on the number of loaded animations? For example, I've found that adding too many idle or sitting animations will cause the game to run poorly or even corrupt save games. Can these mods work strictly on Nemesis or another animator loader instead of Fores?
Thank you for this vid, it's my day 3 of modding and I struggled a lot on the previous days because it's my first time modding. This has worked a lot for me now. One last thing, What's the Katana movement on 4:30?
These mods all look very cool and impressive but they dont have controller support. i dont like keyboard and mouse for skyrim because i grew up on xbox 360
I highly suggest none of you try to set this up unless you have 5-10 hours to do it. Expect to get all the mods, all the requirements and then have to reinstall skyrim, downgrade a couple patches, re-install all your mods with the correct versions and then hunt all these mods down and the very specific required versions. Then make sure they all matchup. Takes about 50 mods minimum. I'm looking at 130+ right now and more than likely have to start from scratch.
all of this animations mod can be cancelled by just pressing jump button lol.. 😂. it's funny even unmoded vanilla sneak roll animation can be cancelled with jump animation too. poor Bethesda engine 💀
Can't we just have a simple first person combat fix that isn't 100 different mods that make the game into Eldenrim 2 Dragonborn Souls? edit: I didn't finish the video lol.
You said it was easy to install. To install these mods, I have to install another extra 10 mods. And the manually patch the animation. How is that easy? Just MCO is already hard
