I love doing slow speed manoeuvres on this bike. Mind you, I managed to burn out my clutch by revving high while slipping the clutch in second gear, but that's not to say it happened just because of that. I'd done over 7000 kilometres by that point and had spent a lot of that time abusing the clutch and the gearbox. I mean, that's what the "L" plates are for, isn't it? Anyhow, I had a go at replacing my clutch pads myself and my out of pocket cost was just under $40 AUD. So what I'm trying to say is don't worry about excessive clutch wear, it turned out to be a cheap fix, and my new generic clutch plates are approaching the 4000 kilometre mark, so they've held up wonderfully considering the cheap price.
Spot on place to practice those. Some nice tight turns in there. Don't be too shy with the revs when turning through and it'll be all about the clutch 😉
