The Yachtmaster was constructed like it was designed for formula one racing is because it IS. Has no one in the watch collecting world heard of Sail Grand Prix? It's equivalent to racing cars but on water. The yachts have to be super light and tough using only wind and sail to power these multi million dollar composite constructed machines like a razor through water. That's what this watch was designed for. Sir Ben Ainslie who sported the prototype watch before its official release is a professional sailor competing in Sail GP. It's a shame everyone thinks of a yacht as a luxury boat where billionaires lounge and sip champagne all day. That's like saying the Daytona is designed for truck drivers! As a sailor I find it very insulting that every watch channel on RU-vid has questioned the usefulness of titanium in sailing. People think that sailing is not a sport but a leisurely activity cruising the Bahamas eating lobster and partying. I invite any watch nerd or keyboard warrior to sail a yacht in open water with rain & sea water pelting you and winds strong enough to reshape your face. Then try hoisting ropes and sails whilst avoiding the boat to tip over or collide with other obstacles. You would be glad to have a titanium watch. More so than a diver who uses lead weights to keep submerged. What benefit would a light weight watch have underwater when gravity and your other equipment weighs a ton anyway. Besides, it's not going to give you any more air or extend your dive time. It would be like giving a truck driver a titanium watch.
