@@EveBolt I think I would go for the Aquarius colours - and also for the ones with unusual pigments... I’m still strong for now as I have sooo many paints and painting ideas!

Manganese blue, you'll forever be missed 😭 This chromium oxide green is like a cobalt green dark in terms of hue, it's really striking in that aspect! Not at all the army green that is the "standard" for this pigment.

Thank you so much! :3 I wasn't sure if I'd be able to get interesting results when making my limited palette little painting, as it's a fairly limited palette, quite opaque and very textured. Turns out, mixing the three colors to varying degrees makes for a really beautiful blue-green! In my opinion anyway XD The brown and green are fun to mix together, but I think I'd rather mix the green with a truly transparent color. Or perhaps add a third granulating green in there for some extra textures! I feel like I'd try mixing the brown and the green, and then add a green gold (PY129) or a nickel azo yellow (PY150) just to see what kind of effect I'd get! XD

The quest for the perfect Manganese blue dupe! The original set the bar really high though, no color I've seen has come close to that level of saturation and the hue!!

I agree!! It's one of the few "inexpensive' granulating greens out there.

The green is such a unique hue for that pigment :D

Maybe I should do a video going over all the swatches I have for this range. I don't have all the colors, but I have a fair amount and it might be helpful to see some of these altogether? Off the top of my head, I think the sea blue variant is more aqua/cyan than this new color. I'd have to check to be sure, though!

@@EveBolt That's what I thought as well from watching your videos. I think videos which put them side by side are very helpful for deciding. They are pretty rare and mostly diveded by categories but they do really help particularly when new colors are introduced because everybody wonders what's the difference with the already existing range? I picked my scarlet for the palette after watching a reel on YT.
