I'm French and was gifted the 2001 DVD version when I was 6, so I basically grew up with this version, watching it with such dedication that I still know most of the songs by heart 20 years after. It's so amazing to discover the foreign versions and how they adapted it. It makes me so proud to think that we share love for this musical all around the world ❤
"Mámort hoz és kéjjel kínál minden száj és bájos szempár, Csók csattan, lábad röppen, nadrág csusszan, ágyú dörren!" I love the Hungarian version. Thanks from Italy! Grazie!
ah, ma anche la versione italiana è meravigliosa. sono ungherese e non posso scegliere che quale è il mio preferito ungherese o italiana. ambedue sono ottimo.
All versions are the exact "copy" of the original French version except the Hungarian one. You can clearly see even from the costumes but also from the performance (only Hungarian actors dance) that it was very widely interpreted, not to mention how the Hungarian lyrics differs from the French one (in the whole play). I don't know if it's a good thing though. I don't prefer either play over the other (this song can't even compete both French and Hungarian is first to me but for different reasons) I would like to see a Notre Dame de Paris in Hungarian sooo much the exact way it is performed in France.
@@coral3826 Lady Montague wears blue and the Capulets red. Romeo and Julia are neutral (mostly in white like here) only mercucio wears red here(he is ment to be neutral as well) and is coming from the Capulets so its understandable...
Rose Peterson Hungarian Notre Dame le Paris is what i need in my life. Altough no one can sing the opening song better than Bruno. But if you are interested we transalated the opening song to hungarian its pretty good
@@coral3826 Well Hungarians kinda said yolo and didn't follow the blue-red colouring in the whole musical. Only the two mothers wore blue and red dresses and a few other characters, but most of the clothes are either black or white.
I grew up watching and listening to the 2001 soundtrack and musical but 2010 Mercutio is just, Iconic, although I will eternally weep for Damien Sargue's long hair
@Magdolna Rita Bühler Yes, the French is pretty good and amazing too, I love it so much, but you know, as many people as many opinions. I love the Hungarian more because it's closer to my heart, but both was very powerful and beautiful. The whole story and performances were amazing.
im hungarian who grew up watching romeo es julia and who knows it inside and out and it really sucks that you took out the part where they rapped, theres a quick moment when they rap and thats the best part in that song in my opinion
The reason the cut it out is because it’s only in the Hungarian version ( and romaine version but there’s no good quality recordings of that) so it just be a 40 second bit of just the Hungarian version
Since this is a multi-language video I think it's best not to let the Hungarian rap dominate that segment (They're the only version with the rap lol). Also the studio version is used here, which doesnt include the rap.
In my opinion, 1. Original 2. Italian, Psychiatric, grotesque, twisted opera 3. Hungarian, Steampunk, Fin-de-siecle, distopia rock movie Of course, other versions are good except female prince? of Verona & priest? role.... in.....
First German excerpt is "...aber nur scheinbar. Uns sehen sie nicht" (... or so it seems. They do not see us) It's a continuation from the preceeding line "Über die Grenzen reicht ihre Sicht..." ("Their gaze reaches beyond borders...") It's really interesting to have subtitles for your multilanguage videos! Would be cool to see that again, but I assume it's a lot of extra work? (Btw this vid still has [NEW] in the title, even though you've made a new Roi du Monde version since.)
Yeah, at first the [NEW] was to distinguish it from the other existing RetJ multi-language videos, but now it's used as a sort of trade mark. (I probably should've had more foresight and use something like [ACI] but I never thought I'll make so much videos.) The subtitles for this video was provided to me by a RetJ fan.
Never forget, the French 2001 is the original one, the first one. The others are just copy versions. They made this song, musical so famous and popular so anyone can say anything they always will be the best😊 This song was nr1 in radios for many weeks because of them. I also like the Hungarian version and the italian version as well. But anyway it's good to see all of it, how it changes in each country.
Damien, Phillipe, Gregori, Tom, Lukas, Rasmus, Matthias and Mark.....they're the ones I think of when I listen to that mashup someone did of Madonna's 'Hung Up' and Cher's version of 'Gimme Gimme Gimme (A Man After Midnight)'.....they're also the ones who gave me a new appreciation for what 'The Weather Girls' said "God Bless Mother Nature".....
Большое спасибо, очень интересно. Венгерский вариант бросается в глаза. Но русский показан очень мало, его тут не видно почти. На сцене он красив, там хорошие вокалисты.
This was AWESOME, made my day so thank you for sharing. Edit: just rewatched it with the eng sub, and there's "world" instead of "people" ils ont du monde autour d'eux, translates to "they have people around them/ they are surrounded by people" And "les rois du monde ont peur de tout" translates to "the kings of the world are scared of/fear everything" not everyone. The italian version looks amazing, I'm gonng need to check it out.
Why is everyone forgetting about polish version? Studio accantus translate musicals songs from English or other languages to polish. Search: Studio Accantus -królowie świata.
Nobody's forgetting anything :) 1. This video was made before Studio Accantus released the Polish version of Les Rois Du Monde. 2. Since then there's a new updated version of this multi-language video with the Polish version in it: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9uZXCu9LMAI.html
Grandioso..Magnífico..Espectacular..Este Musical..!!.👌.Te Emociona..!!..Y Si Que Si..Somos Los Reyes Del Mundo..( Claro Aquí Abajo.>..Nos Amamos Día Y Noche..😉....Y Además No Participamos En Sus Guerras..!! .
I really love your multilanguage videos! But why didn't you include a Takarazuka version (or all x3) here too? I can help you out with audio and video if you want (Star 2010, Moon 2012 A ver., Star 2013 A+B. ver) :)
It was an oversight from my part. :/ I thought that because it's a "boy song" the music key won't match with the other versions (many Takarazuka songs don't match musically that's why I don't feature them in every multi-language video), but since then I realized that's not the case with Les Rois du Monde. BUT to rectify this and other oversights I plan to make a new, upgraded version of this video in the future with additional languages/versions I've acquired since I made this video. Also I might take you up on your offer about the audio/video. I only have 2 Takarazuka versions.
Úgy tervezem, h szép lassan minden dalt megcsinálok, főleg aminek van magyar verziója is. Azt nem tudom mikor érek a végére, de még fogok készíteni videókat.
You can find them all on RU-vid, just search their titles, they 're in the description of this video. But you won't find a complete version of the Dutch production there isn't one.
