I think none of these weird Russian guns get included in media is because: 1) They're Wunderwaffes kept behind mystery to create the illusion of them being something special or actually usable. 2) First time many have seen them are ones ripped from the dead bodies of Russians in Ukraine.

@@therapscallion64753its actually only half as powerful as a .500 magnum out of the same barrel mostly because most loadings are subsonic while the .500 magnum is supersonic. HOWEVER the upside to the RSH-12 is that from what I know it is a much more manageable revolver than the .500 magnum while still hitting as hard as a .500 special which is still plenty overkill even with the lower recoil.

I see all the people saying that this gun will be a beast, but since Tarkov is mostly going for realism, it's bound to be weaker per-shot than the ASh-12, since the revolver has a much shorter barrel. But it definitely looks and sounds great. What I'm trying to say is, we basically already know how strong it will be, because we already have the ASh-12.

The Desert Eagle doesn't make much sense at all. It isn't a practical weapon, and no one uses it as an actual side arm in any Paramilitary setting. The RSh-12 is made by the same people that manufactured the ASh-12, which is in the game. It is safe to say, since that company is Russian, you'd have some of these lying around. Again, not many people are rocking the Israeli/American .50 AE Desert Eagle in Russia. This also explains why other weapons that make no sense in a military setting (vepr, chiappa rhino, and OTS revolver shotgun) are in the game as well. I could see scavs having them, as they're civilian weapons and show pieces.

I fully believe that is something max peacekeeper would offer and some USEC PMC would carry around.

Rhino (2009) is a smaller version of the RS-12 (2000). But even before that, revolvers with a lower barrel chamber were developed)

The reload animation is definitely unpolished. Feels crude when he pulls out one casing or when he drops all five casings. You can see the key frames, there are too few of them. When he drops the whole clip it is clearly visible that the casings are floating in the air for a split second. But it looks amazing in every other phase
