Just to have an idea of what runes do , So the first rume in the video says +0.3% gear basic attributes 3% chance Primary attack slow enemy attack and movement Every team member boost 0.5 % of your damage

Perhaps a new gear runes system will be to replace reforge stones, since many who play regularly end up having hundreds of them built up without need any longer after getting the affixes they want long ago... same with purification shards in regards to having soooo many built up with no need. Would make sense if you think about it.

The energy bubble is likely just the Phantom Market effect that comes when you trigger your ultimate. Also, the flaming gold around your gear may just be one of the new additions/offerings that come with the Phantom Market.

Good lord, most of us still haven't figured out pets, now this. The day one players remember how shiddy the original rune system was. A lot like pets now. Overly complicated and everyone absolutely HATED it. Thank god they got rid of it. Not sure why they need to keep coming out with overly complicated stuff. Simpler is always better.

Oh and it seems the best way to get runes ive seen is run dungs ......i got a good bit yesterday grinding dungs...

Maybe gold border is awakened lvl 10 and purple is for lvl 5-9

Holy crap, looks like we can finally re-roll magic attributes with these new runes! So now we could pick between; beneficial effect, skill cooldown, skill damage, critical chance etc.. The shield must be the (30 day) visual effect like the green swirl on the Mad King cosmetic. Personally, I wish they would just repurpose the aux gems slots as the new second gem slots. That way nobody has to have 10 leggo gear and worry about the advantages of 10 awakened pieces. Instead we all have 8 as usual but now we can all use 16 gems total. Could help kick start the markets again, too.

The runes remind me of Diablo 2 rune system. I'm guessing the Flames around the gear indicate that a gear piece has a rune attached to it. I'm also guessing the runes will be sellable on the market for plat.
