Does this mean your workflow will change to making beats on the MPC then saving out stems to FL Studio? if not wouldn't the MPK249 be the same if you are just working in FL studio?

I’ll be using both now. Start on the mpc finish in FL or start in FL and use the mpc key 37 to control it. Best of both worlds

Nice! I currently produce through Studio one 6 with an akai mpk mini as my pads and keyboard. I have been very interested in getting an MPC one+ for the workflow. Would be dope to see a video of the process of exporting stems and finishing the mixing and other parts of the song in the DAW. MPCs make creating bass lines within the key of the song a breeze, which is one thing I have always been interested in with the MPC system. You dont need to know much music theory to play bass and chords in key when using an MPC which is awesone.@@theycallmeheat

i jus returned mine today, if your purchase akai plug ins with the 37 key only having 2 gb it will run super slow!!!!! i am sample based and also create from scratch and in standalone it is very frustrating when u have to wait for a plugin to load.The concept is the selling point but the technology is so outdated!!! we often get sucked in to purchasing new gear when sometimes its not needed.

Can’t say I’ve seen what you claim. Plugin loading times for 2GB machines (One, Live, Live II, X, and Key 37) are about the same as those on 4GB (Key61 and X SE). Both tend to be slow with some plugins and random access memory has nothing to do with it. RAM allows for more stuff to be added to a work space, not speeding it up. I have the Key61, One, and Live II and what you claim is not what I’ve seen in reality. Not true based upon my observations.

It’s about what helps you personally be more productive or inspired. Bouncing between MPCs and gear helps me so it isn’t about need but what caters to how I work. It isn’t about “need” but what works for you.

With your computer Keypad infront the MPC Key37 puts the Keyboard a bit to far away from reach if it was Me, Id have to move the Computer keypad out the way.
