It probably was 6 on 6, but the 4 iron dragons eliminated 3 Cobra Kai’s before the clip started. Then they walked off because they knew that Axel and Zara didn’t need them. It was a cocky flex, but the Iron Dragons can definitely back up their cockiness with skill.
Or they have to chose how many fighters against the others since 6v3 was there but 4 Iron Dragon forfeit and the captains won since the captains are worth high points or the anchors of the team
Something to add: I am very sure this event here takes place after Johnny and Wolff had the conversation when Johnny said: _"Its Barcelona, dips..hit"_ . Thats why Johnny recognized him again. And for the people who think Yoon and Kwon only lost because they did mistakes, here an other factor: To underline how strong Axel is: He didnt even use his kicks and punches against Kwon and Yoon, but still defeated them so easy! We saw he punches like a heavyweight boxer, not one of the other kids has such a devastating punching power, Robby gets brutally nailed with a left hook and spites blood. If Axel starts to use his kicks and punches, he will even be stronger as he was against Yoon and Kwon. He only threw them around and didnt kick or punch them once.
Yeah thought the same tihing about sensei wolf and johanny. Johanny might thought when he saw him in the Airport that is just someone. Also what i saw by kwon that fights stronger when he is not thinking while during his fight against axel he was trying to think for a opening.
6:04 Johnny was already on the fight smart method in season 2. After the tournament & punishing Miguel & Hawk for attacking weak spots instead of winning the right way. He told his students they can’t just fight with their fists they have to use their heads
2:36 - I have to disagree, WP. Tory, Kwon and Yoon stopping when their opponents did something unpredictable was smart. What was "dumb," was their initial strategy to charge toward them in a straight line while yelling. Exercising caution and rethinking a direct attack is kinda crucial, when your opponent does something unorthodox like that. And while I agree with you about the risky spinning kicks, your idea to leap over them isn't any better. Now you're boxed in, with nowhere to go and surrounded by all six of your opponents. 2:56 - Tory & co are staring like that, because four of their opponents just GTFOd at the start of the match, yet the Team Captains are still approaching intently like nothing happened. Obviously, staring is bad in a real life tournament, but in a dramatized karate show, it's acceptable. The Cobra Kais are out of their element. 6:02 - What? It's irrelevant who Axel is gesturing to. He's simply flexing, probably for his fans... y'know, being the former Sekai Taikai champion and all. Did it matter who Hawk was flapping his wings to in the 1st All Valley? He was just showing off. As for why the four of the Iron Dragons left the ring: I wonder if whatever dojo surrenders the most teammates gets a larger point total when they win...? Admittedly flimsy prediction, but I got nothin'. I didn't mean anything by my rebuttals, WP. I just feel you are picking pointless things to focus on to force the discussion in this video.
I believe you’re right. Cobra Kai might focus on striking smart in the Sekai Taikai tournament because now they’re beginning to realize that the Sekai Taikai tournament isn’t going to be easy. I don’t believe that Miyagi Do is going to win the Sekai Taikai tournament because they weren’t fully prepared and they have no experience whatsoever. Devon cheated and the Miyagi Do students are going through internal conflict. How can Miyagi Do win the Sekai Taikai if they haven’t been fully prepared? How are you going to make a water out of a rock? I believe that Cobra Kai might end up winning the Sekai Taikai but at the same time I believe that one of the main characters will die in Sekai Taikai. It could be a possibility that someone it die in the tournament but we have to wait and see.
@@BumblebeeTuna8 nah, looked what happened in season 4, the show is literally called Cobra kai, so it made sense if Cobra kai won, maybe it's not Kresse's but Johnny's, because later in the episodes johnny may reopen cobra kai his way, realizing that the dojo name wasnt the problem, the problem was the philosophy of the dojo
The writing is on the wall. Axel embraced Kwon and CK isn’t known for being smarter… just more ruthless. Kwon has that dagger and wants to use it on Axel. That’s how the biggest dog gets taken out of the fight.
Watchparty, you're nit picking. It's clear the writers just wanted to give Axel and Zara hype. It's not that deep. Not every little thing in fiction has to make sense
Is it possible that Johnny’s first interaction with the other sensei is the scene where he says:‘It’s Barcelona, dipshit’. It would explain why he’s looking at Johnny like that.
I didn’t think about it before But its possible that the reason why its just Tory, Kwon and Do-Jin fighting Is due to the other three members of the Cobra Kai team being taken care of and defeated by the four unnamed fighter of the Iron Dragons team Perhaps in a more humiliating fashion than the main three of the Cobra team were beaten by Zara and Axel
No the other 3 Cobra kai might've been defeated in the previous round, if it what was a iron dragons introduction why not that, also since the contest is knocking your captains out why did they sacrifice fighters like that for no reason
If you notice how this clip, that they released, ends. It very much feels like the ending of an episode (more than likely episode 1) The way that music builds, plus the glare sensei Wolf and Johnny gives each other, that just feels like a peak-episode ending right there, cutting to the chrome Cobra Kai logo. It just fits :-) And I honestly think they've already had their prior scene together here (where Johnny calls sensei Wolf a "dipshit") in order for that glare, at the end of the clip, to have some kind of depth behind it.. But we'll see what happens 🙂 Thanks for the video, man! I fully agree with the stupidness of the Cobra's here, haha.
WATCHPARTY: Something that I would like to point out as well is that no one on Kreese's team has a strong connection to each other in terms of friendship so they don't care about helping each other or fighting with each other all they care about is just winning & while Miyagi Do will struggle in the beginning what ultimately is what will get them to the top is them fighting together & defending each other because this is a TEAM tournament & in the words of Miguel & Robby they are all one big Karate family where as Cobra Kai is not a family at all & that will ultimately lead to their down fall in the tournament.
@@watchparty1 Well went high while yoon went low & neither one went to help Tory & Tory didn't go to help them, all they cared about was winning the match.
@@melissapas8474 Some things in general since you spoke about the tournament in a live chat yesterday. Here some thoughts from me: When you see the trailer and the scoreboard, it looks like Robby is the one who throws Cobra Kai out of the tournament. Cobra Kai and Miyagi-Do gonna met in the "Elimination Round 2", and my guess is it works like this: Elimination Round = Round 16 Elimination Round 2 = Round 8 = Quarterfinals Semifinals Finals At the start there are 16 teams. "Elimination Round" will make 8 of them go home, and only 8 are still there. "Elimination Round 2" is the last 8 facing off, basically the quarterfinals, and one pairing of these 4 matches will be Cobra Kai vs Miyagi-Do. From the footage in the trailer, it looks in the end Robby gets the upperhand over Kwon, gets his personal victory since Kwon is his personal enemy because of Tory, Miyagi-Do wins and Cobra Kai is out of the tournament. Then we have only 4 teams left, among them Miyagi-Do and Iron Dragons. But I dont know which team will win. Zara is so good she could beat Tory and Devon together, and Axel could beat Robby and Hawk together. Robby is very close like Kwon and Hawk like Yoon, and Axel just smashed them. And in the end there is a single divion tournament, when all 16 captains compete, 8 boys and 8 girls, one boys and one girls division. So Tory could win the single competition without helping the Cobra Kai dojo to win the tournament, because this is only a single division tournament, and at that point the Cobra Kai dojo is most probably already eliminated. So Tory could only win for her mom, not for the Cobra Kai dojo. The semifinal of the boys tournament will be Axel vs Robby, when Kovacevic smashes Keene to bits in a 5:0 beatdown, which is realistic when you see how easy Axel defeated Kwon, who has as similar level like Robby (the 4 is visible after Axel's name, so the left hook that makes Robby spites blood is Axel's 5th point). The rest is unsure. But Cobra Kai wont win this tournament, they reach the final 8 aka quarterfinals, but then lose to Miyagi-Do. So Robby gets his glory in part 2 by deafeating his nemesis Kwon in a 1-1 fight when he fights for his love Tory, and he will eliminate the Cobra Kai dojo from the tournament in this "Elimination Round 2", which consists of the best 8 teams, basically Johnnys son beats Kreeses Cobra Kai, that would be like a closing circle. And this matches since Tanner said part 2 is his favorite part from the whole C.K. show, maybe because Robby will do what I just wrote? Could be. PS: And since you also spoke about the street fight with Sam and Axel: I think now its obvious. Kreese will see after this beatdown here in the clip Axel is too strong, he cant be beaten by anyone. So he uses dirty tricks and orders Kwon, Chunghee and an other (not Yoon because he is too nice) C.K. student to attack Axel in the street in the evening, but they dont know Sam is with Axel during that moment, so Sam gets involved. And if you ask me: Axel will beat the cr.. out of Kwon again in the street, and even Kwon will understand he has no chance against Axel. And in the end Kwon is the one who take the knife in the trailer, because he thinks using the knife is his only chance to win against Axel. That looks now very likely because Kwon cant accept someone else is better. He will also lose to Robby but close, he knows he could beat him in a re-match, but he knows Axel is too strong, so he will take the knife. Thats my thought. To underline how strong Axel is: He didnt even used his kicks and punches against Kwon and Yoon, but still defeated them so easy! We saw he punches like a heavyweight boxer, not one of the other kids has such a devastating punching power, Robby gets brutally nailed with a left hook and spites blood. If Axel starts to use his kicks and punches, he will even be stronger as he showed against Yoon and Kwon.
I mean Tory called her a "little girl" earlier in the scene, so she might have heard that, and this also might be a timed match as well as we can hear by the timer at the end.
Well zara was strutting around the mat like she owned the place. Tory isn't gonna like that. Besides tory is never mean to people who didn't do her wrong first.
It's like proving a point.. saying you guys are so easy that we only need 2 fighters to kick your ass. I kept saying sensei wolf looked so familiar that I realised where i saw him from. That mortal kombat movie playing original character Cole. 😂
The biggest question is HOW DID KRESSE EVEN GET A PLANE RIDE TO BARCALONE AND HOW DID HE NOT GET CAUGHT AND WAY DID JOHNNY OR DANIEL NOT TELL THE POLICE ABOUT HIM!
Because everything in season 6 is just part of KREESE'S DREAM as he lays dying from a real stab wound on the prison floor at the end of season 5. There was no red jello. 😂
The man was in the military and more than likely had connections and money to get away. He’s very calculated and once you leave America it’s up to other countries to extradite you to the American authorities. That’s why Edward Snowden fled to China and Russia they weren’t going to hand him over
Cameras are just there for the individual divisions. That's what Gunther said!!! I think the taunt to there fans. Kinda bloodsport movie again. Feels like a kumitee
There's multiple events. In this one, just the Captains have to be defeated and your team is out. The non-captains of the ID leave as a show of strength.
The idea that the other 3 have been KO'd already doesn't make sense because it would imply that Axel and Zara already fought in a first round, ruining the surprise for Cobra Kai. Clearly in this clip they hadn't seen them fight yet. The idea of going for the captains though and Iron Dragons wanting to send a message to their competitors by taking away their advantage is absolutely plausible. But yes it seems ridiculous that they'd stop rushing in, just like Mike Barnes ridiculous panic at the sight of Daniel doing kata
@goliathgar4985 they try na hide it Basically silver bought the champions Axel was Russian and from tiger strike Zara is Spanish from furia de panthera He bought them for his dojo Wolf was probably a champion too since there will be a Sensei division for the final 4 So silver created a super team It's also why the gis are silver gray🩶
@@VaggodZervas let's say that theory is true, you would think those two would flinch stomp to there old dojos sensei's being paid by Silver to join Iron Dragon which is in mf CHINA and Silver should be there and not Wolf to really have a smug look to both Kreese, Daniel and Johnny
Tbh, im finding it hard to be hype for this season. It feels like it jumped the shark into stupid rather than endearing territory. I hope I'm wrong but it was almost like S6 Pt1 wasnt even the same show as S5
I think this is a event where it might have been a 6v6 protect the captain but kreese and Kim sent yun, Tori and qaun instead of the other fighters due to their overconfidence. and than they had underestimated them so they did not know who they were going against. So this will be more or less the first fight in the tournament due to how everyone was shocked. the miyagi do on the board prob means that they would be next against another dojo possibly or they were to go up against whoever won that match. and the team that won this event was iron dragons.
they said the whole tournament was televised right? maybe both Axel and Zara are gesturing to the cameras which would be held somewhere high in the arena?
Even if stopping like that made the tiniest bit of sense, it would be weird for all three Cobra Kai to stop. It looks like the Iron Dragons are about to pull a Julie Pierce and jump kick to a rock. I'm really hoping it's just the way the clip is edited, and maybe the Cobra Kai stop because the Iron Dragons pulled out some machetes. Then maybe it would be slightly understandable. Only slightly.
Usually I agree with you about many things, but imo you are underestimating Wolff big time! They would never have hired such a bad a.. martial artist like Lewis Tan to be only a side character and loses to Johnny. Be carefull not to be like Daniel in KK3 and misjudge or underestimate someone (like Daniel did with Silver). You think Wolf is evil (even not so evil) and Axel is good guy who only gets transformed into a bad guy by Wolff, but I could see Silver=Wolff and Axel=Barnes, only vica verca, means Axel plays the nice guy to Sam, and Wolff is the bad guy, but in reality they are both evil. Or the theory Wolff is the guy who will tell Daniel about Miyagi s past, or help him, or that Miyagi fought for the Iron Dragons. Maybe, but still Wolff is imo not a good guy, to the contrary. Maybe he is even darker and more evil as Kreese, Silver, Sunyung and Daeun together, but he hides it behind a nice smile. Charles Manson also didnt look so evil when you see how he looked in normal state, he looked like Jesus but was evil as Satan. If you ask me, now after its clear Axel and Zara are so strong, that Axel beats Yoon and Kwon together, I couldnt count out a scenario like this. Of course its all speculative, but I ask myself if Wolf is in the end the ultimate bad guy? Here a scenario I cant count out anymore: Kim Sunyungs birth name was Keisuke Miyagi, and he is the older brother of Nariyoshi "Mr" Miyagi (thats why Chozen asked Daniel if Miyagi had a brother, and Daniel only said something like "Not that I knew", not "No, definately not!". Still it underlines even Chozen doesnt know everything about the Miyagi family!). When Keisuke moved to Korea after he beat up this one guy and stole a neck jewelry, he changed his name to Kim Sunyung. He was more agressive as his younger brother, but all in all Cobra Kai has his roots in Miyagi-Do. Wolf is the student or grandson of a Chinese master who once got humilated by one of the Miyagis, either Nariyoshi "Mr" or Keisuke "Sunyung". And his mission is now to punish and/or kill all of them, I mean their lineage and students. In Barcelona, his main focus is on the teenagers. He sends Zara to flirt with Robby to hurt Tory. He sends Axel to flirt with Sam to hurt Miguel, in this case Cobra Kai and Miyagi-Do are getting weaker. Then he instructs Axel to badly hurt or even kill Robby to hurt Johnny. And he instructs Zara to hurt Tory (later in the single division fight) to hurt Kreese, who is like a granpa to her. And when Axel flirts with Sam, she thinks he is a nice guy, but in the end Axel and Wolff fooled Sam completely, and she will be shocked and sad. And this will hurt Daniel. I would not be shocked if Axel almost kills Robby and wont feel any remorse for it. This could be Tory s wake up moment from her clouded mind. Because she would be afraid to lose Robby too after losing her mom shortly before, seeing him go down almost like Apollo Creed after that left hook from Ivan Drago, I mean Robby out cold and in blood on the floor. And in the end, Wolf s final mission is to kill them all: - Daniel - Johnny - Kreese - Daeun - Chosen They are all on his hit list. Because they are all in the lineage of Mr Miyagi or Kim Sunyung. Wolff beats down one after the other, Johhny, Daniel, Kreese and Daeun. And in the last moment Chozen steps in and saves them all. Chozen tells Wolff if he wants to fight a real Miyagi-Do sensei who knows the whole style, he has to fight him. Johnny, Daeun and Kreese only know the Cobra Kai style of Miyagi-Do, and Daniel only knows the defensive style of it, only the Pressure Points are offensive. And in the end Chozen beats Wolff using the complete arsenal of Miyagi-Do, the Pressure Points, The Drum, and in the end the scroll technique, and he kills Wolff with it. And contrary to what we all thought, Chozen wont end up with Kumiko but with Daeun instead. Because if Mr Miyagi and Kim Sunyung were brothers, it would mean Chozen and Daeun would be like "karate-cousins", even if Chozen had no blood connection to Miyagi. But it would mean Daeun is the grand-niece of Mr Miyagi, since she is the granddaughter of Miyagi s brother Keisuke "Sunyung". I dont say this is true, but it crossed my mind. If The Big Three want to redeem the name and dojo "Cobra Kai", this is one of the few ways to do it, there arent many others.
@@Penguinzero1 Did I say they arent equal? Today in 2019 (current timeline) they are. But so or so with "happening" or "not happening", nobody convinces me Wolff is a good guy, will help Daniel or whatever. But I still think its Chozen s time now to beat the big bad guy in the end. Daniel and Johnny they all had their great moments, but Chozen didnt yet. And the fact that Tanner "Robby" and Courtney "Amanda" both said Chozen is their favorite character in season 6, I wouldnt be surprised if he saves the day in the end, kills the ultimate bad guy in the show. This scroll technique from Season 3 wasnt used yet, The Drum too, and I would be surprised if the show ends before these two techniques show up at least one time. We saw The Crane Kick now many times, we saw The Silver Bullet, we saw the kata from KK3 (Sam taught Tory in it in part 1 of season 6), but never The Drum or the scroll technique. And the latter is a killing technique, so Chozen killing someone with it makes sense. I thought it would be Sunyung, but now I think it could be Wolff.
@@puertoricanprince7690 Sorry it is time for Chozen! He would be a complete side character and nerfed if he isnt the one who does it. Daniel defeated Kreese and Silver, Johnny defeated Kreese and 5 Cobra Kai senseis, Chozen had Silver down but in the end lost because he wasnt sober. There has to be one time that Chozen takes the big win, and I would be very surprised if he isnt the one who kills Wolff. Maybe Johnny beats Wolff in a sport tournament on points, but then they gonna met in the street when Wolff hasnt obey rules and can fight like he wants, there he takes the upperhand and Chozen shows up for the rescue and kills Wolff. Anyone who thinks Johnny would beat Chozen in a no-rule street fight doesnt understand how good Chozen really is. He would have smashed Johnny to bits if they had sparred in S6E01, but it didnt come together. Daniel and Johnny are like equal, and look how easy Chozen dominated Daniel in Season 3 when he was sober and in his warrior mode, in S5 he was in clown mode, became a softy watching soap opera and drunk too much. Its his time. And it matches Tanner and Courtney said he is their favorite character in Season 6, but also that Yuji said the fans are right when they say Chozen is the nr. 1 fighter right now. And he will prove it in S6.
Cobra Kai geting buried again and Miyagi Do proected. Notice how Sam never lose or looks bad, Tory always takes losses, the writers have their agenda it's a farce.
@@MaryCookieDoughMouser on the board shows that myagi-do lost before this match happened, the only thing that is protecting myagi-do is the clip itself, in the trailer we saw them getting whooped. Tory takes losses because she deserves it, I see it as karma.
"Strike Smart" has been around since season 3! they established it. it's the reason why Eli was able to beat Robby in the finals. if we're being real here Cobra Kai's should not be losing because of their fight smart mentality!
Did anyone notice that Zara looks like Julie Pierce a little bit ? Especially when she's blowing the kiss. I see somewhat of a small resemblance. I'm not looking too far into it, as if I really believe Julie is her mom, though.
I see so many reviews about season 6 part2 of cobra kai. So many people propose theories share ideas make predictions. But not one person has answered nor asked the most important question. The question which matters above all else. "Wil the Sekai taikai headbands be available 4 sale?"
Those two are actually worse than I said. Yoon attacked first and Kwon didn't go until after Yoon got blocked. They allowed Axel to defend against them separately rather than together.
@ to be real it’s a kid show, it’s not supposed to be accurate bro. They just showing axel stronger than kwon. Also do you know who wins the sekai tekai? I’m having a feeling u have inside scoop!
Well you must know alot about fighting when you were talking about the fight maybe the creators just didn't think about how the 4 iron dragons were allowed too suddenly got off
lol i hope ur joking cause it was super obvious why they walked off, wanted to show we only need 2 to beat you, dont need 4 v 3, it is not 6 iron dragons cause the captains in the back just watchign like the cobras behind the 3 cobras. , and also a badass intro to these two characters. ur usually sharper than this
@@watchparty1 They don't care about extra points. It is a psychological move to implant even more doubt in your opponents mind when you show them how much more skillful you are than them.
Miyagi Do & Cobra Kai may be strongest but... in All Valley. All Valley isn't even national cup (USA). Seikai Taikai is wordlwide. It's like 2 small fishes from aquarium going to swim in big lake. If CK or MD win - it will be totally unlogical. Most of their students (Especially Miyagi Do) are training karate few years, in new Cobra Kai more people more years but still they aren't so experienced like other clubs. They will lost badly - but this is Cobra Kai series so plot armor.
That's nonsense, in BJJ people come out of nowhere and take on top level BJJ guys all the time but even so since when is this shoe based on pure reality? If that was the case Daniel should of lost to Johnny, Chosen and Mike, logically
