Alright guys, you know the drill! See anything specific in the video that you want to see? Drop a comment down below, and let us know what ya think and which one you want to see ! Thank you all so much for watching!
Hey Man ... Thanks for posting another great video. It's interesting seeing how many cars you get in your scrap yard because people simply didn't know how to take care of them. I bought a 2004 Ford Ranger from Lincolnton, NC and the guy who had it didn't do any kind of routine maintenance, he just ran it in the ground. The reason Chevy put V6s in their Camaros was the same reason Ford put V6s in their Mustangs *cheaper insurance*
Wow, the yard is really looking organized now, I can tell you guys have been working on it. Too bad about the blown head gasket on the Accord coupe, that would be a fun daily driver. That's sad about the red Crown Vic----if he would've checked his oil regularly, he would've known it had a leak somewhere
Were not even close to being done either. We have cleaned and hauled out so much crap its unreal. Weve made tons of space, and looking really good for our SCI!
Previous owner might have revving like a mad man, that's why it's head gasket is blown and not changing the oil regularly. Honda engines are reliable but generally weak. It requires correct maintenance!
This is just a great and interesting channel, can't get enough! Which ever one you do will be worth watching, like a the videos when you're trying to start them up and see if they will run. Glad I found this channel, just keep up the great work!!
yup had a 94 grand marquis with the 4.6. I had to do the oil filter adaptor was pouring a steady stream of oil when cold. could defiantly see a oblivious owner not noticing that and running it dry.
That Camry would definitely make a good beater. Used one of those things for school back in 2002. Drove it from Miami to Atlanta every other weekend never gave me any trouble. Good reliable vehicle. I'd love to know where it's shorting out.
First vedio i caught on youtube was the 96 and up mustang...although i dont like that body style...i mistaken you for just a crushing yard..it is good to see that you do attemp to resell some of the half decent cars..i have purchased some junk yard cars in the past when i didnt really have alot of cash...and they have lasted along time....my best deal was a 1985 oldsmobile cutlass 2 door..paid 500 bucks because i wanted the wheels off the car..towed it home got the hood open cause it was stuck...bam 7 to 10 thosand dollar race motor with nitros hook ups..no bottle. But fired right up
That Accord coupe might be able to supply everything David would need to put a proper gearbox in his wagon rather than the slushmatic it has at the moment... If it's still alive...
Were actually in the market for another pickup like my s10 for him to drive while we pull his off the road to redo the engine and trans. He still wants the 5 speed badly, so this is looking like our donar car
Hi Jay I'd like to get a beater toyota from you. Its amazing that these toyotas come into and they still run and drive. I'd like to bring one home, tinker with it, and make it my daily driver.
when the F body Camaro and fire bird first came out in 1982 the base engine was the 2.5 iron duke 4 cylinder boat anchor. virtually no one bought them, making them extremely rare. I have only ever seen one firebird with the four, it was a total dog but got good gas milage.
good? it was shaky , noisy and weak. and in the fiero prone to bursting into flames! LOL and no one wanted it in a camaro or firebird, that's why they are rare as rocking horse poop. we have come full circle as you can right now go to your local dealer and buy a brand new camaro with a 4 banger in it!
focus frenzy the iron duke fire problems in the fiero was more the body than the engine when you put a combustion engine in a tiny space and restrict it from breathing you get fire the iron duke was a great reliable little 4 banger they lasted forever and was used in alot of gm cars and s10
it was actually a issue with fuel line failures spraying gas on a hot engine. the iron duke was a rough noisy engine that they tried to fix by adding a balance shaft to on later engines but the balance shaft would wear through its bearings and eat into the block.
It appears you could probably recycle a ton of aluminum from just the empty cola cans in these cars with pretty minimal effort. And the debris from the winshield/cowl area could mix with the mud to create a brick like surface for storing your cars. Just for the investment if a broom. Have a great day today, and a much better one tomorrow too.
ive built like 5 or so 3800 series 2 and series 3 supercharged motors. The 3.8 v6 is actually a torque monster. I own a 2000 chevy camaro with a cat delete, its just a daily beater thats t top and black. 160k or so miles. Anyway, lower intake gaskets are a common issue on these cars. It almost never blows head gaskets.
I owned a 2001 V6 Camaro with the 3800 engine. Great engine! And after 6 years my dash did not crack. As for this one, the 3800 was the base engine in 96 and 97 for this body style. Front bumper changed for 98. I can't tell if this has tri-colored tail lights, if it does then it is a 97.
That 5 series is a blast from the past used to have one myself many years ago excellent cars, shame rust killed my one off dead easy cars to work on unlike the BMWs of today.
96 was the first year for the 3.8 in that body style and last year for that dash. 97 was the newer dash and last year for that front end. Then they changed to the cat fish front on the 98.
That blue Camaro, with the V6 - 3800 most likely will need to have the lower intake manifold gasket replaced. The 3800 was a great GM engine, except for that LIM gasket issue.
That camaro is awesome I wanted to know where your junk yard is and how much you wanted for the front seats. I have a 1995 z28 and I am restoring it and those seats are perfect.
"Would you ever stop blocking? Where are you going vacancy with all of that scrap metal of your?! There won't be any 🔙 in the day, after all... Where is all of that people, dancing, cruising or self-medicating?!" 🗨😘🧢💈🥐♨️🚧➿💠〽️⛱
in the Camry it most likely is the trunk light switch in the back bumper.. The trunk light is probably running constantly overnight and that's what's probably draining the battery. I had an 89 Camry that had Bend rear ended but years after it had been repaired that switch started giving me problems. It's a cheap fix
Wat kind of car is behind the 2door honda accord? Could u do an in depth video on it an also an in depth video of the older brown an tan work van please
Jay please don't let that 4th gen Camaro see the crusher. It still has some more life left in it to the right person. Those 93's-95's with the T-tops are kind of hard to come by especially with the 3.4 V6. Most of the t-top cars were Z/28's. I love the 4th gen Camaros even more than these new ones and don't like to see them in scrapyards when they can be salvageable to drive again unless their wrecked/totaled out.. Please give it another life !!! Rescue JAY !!!
Mustang 6 cylinder was the result of oil crisis that took place in the 70s. Past mid 80s the crisis was over and they started to put bigger engines again like the 5.0
Chicks sometimes just like the look of a car, not really into their own car actually being faster than normal cars, but show an interest in they guy she's into at the time & that she has an interest in his life, be supportive of things he gets joy out of ... cars styled like the Sky Bird Camaro pretty versions of the muscle car ...
Previous owner might have revving like a mad man, that's why it's head gasket is blown and not changing the oil regularly. Honda engines are reliable but generally weak. It requires correct maintenance!
gosportjamie Thats what I was thinking too! It doesn't look anything like what a parts car should look like, looks better then a lot of em I see on the road still. Hopefully someone buys it
That white F150 has got to be worth putting back together, they seem to be very popular trucks so I can't imagine you'd have too much trouble harvesting a decent engine and transmission, and any other parts it needs, from the junk coming through the gates. I would think one with a nice, straight, original and rust-free body and chassis/frame would just walk away as a lot of pickups lead a hard life and show plenty of evidence of it...
I really like that generation of f150 myself. We actually bought the green one that was shown in an older video from the guy who bought it from us. Problem is so many of our trucks have random parts taken off, it would take 4-5 trucks to build a complete running engine and transmission.
hey jay i was wondering how much would you charge for the focus wagon? im looking for a wagon for my grandfather he said it can be any car but it has to be in the wagon verity
I have a buddy that had a 94 Camaro v6 that offered to let me have the motor an trans to use in my s10 but it actually would've been a downgrade from the v6 it had. It would've ran just fine but I wanted something with more hp and torque so it would still be a usable truck.
You dont remember that one? That was one i fixed, sold, and now it has made its return! That was the same Cadillac from the "uptown car, or Cadillac style " video!!
What are you guys asking for that Camaro? I have a built 3800 series 2 supercharged engine that would go great in that car lol. I pulled this engine out of my GTP and dropped another one in with the exact same set up and it did wonders in the much heavier GTP
Wouldn't buy a 6 cyl automatic Camaro. But I do own a standard one and the more videos I watch the more I realize I lucked out with my well kept interior. No shattered dash or messed up console for me.
Take the l36 out of the Monte and put it into the camaro. And you should probably check the rocker arm's on that leave because gm v6s are awful for rocker arm's coming loose
Thanks, that's a good deal but since I live in Houston it might be cheaper to look closer. I'm waiting to see what your going to do with the 67 Galaxie 500.
