NEW Screen Mirroring Update - Mirror to ANY Stereo/Screen

It blows my mind that manufactures don’t or won’t make it easier to cast our phones onto our car stereos. Who wouldn’t want this?? These companies need to come together and make this happen! We are the consumers and WE want this!

I'm currently in the process of doing this on a Pioneer DMH-220EX, this is for people who need to utilize the 3.5 mini jack AV input. make sure you check where the ground is placed on the 3.5 mini jack end. I've bought 2 wires and thought they were defective until I was able to get video by touching the yellow+ pin to the outer ground of the rca to 3.5mm adapter. That's when I realized my problem, went back to check the pioneer manual and cross referenced the cable I bought. For this pioneer you need the 3.5mm mini jack to be setup as such (tip-L)( Ring 1- R) (Ring 2 - ground) (Ring 3- video) . Just ordered the correct cable today, hopefully it work! And hopefully this helps other people running into this problem or is going to plan on installing using a 3.5mm minijack av input. Tldr; double check your headunit 3.5mm av input wiring, most common rca to 3.5mm sold will have ground on Ring 3, some headunits such as the pioneer dmh-220ex requires ground to be on ring 2 and video on Ring 3 to properly show video.

I ordered the kit for my vehicle and according to the parts list I was supposed to get a female to female adapter for the HDMI. It was not a deal breaker for me and got a few from Amazon. Everything else looks solid. Order arrived fast. I look forward to installing this. The video is pretty damn precise and concise 🤠🤙

Great video. I wish Pioneer would have left this simple like they did on my old double din unit AVH 4100. All you had to do on that unit was change the setting in the radio to Ipod. Only one cable needed

If I have front and rear cameras tapped into the red/black wires on my Kenwood stereo for power, will adding the QMV HDMIV adapter to those same wires cause any issues? I'm concerned about adding too many extra devices drawing power from the red/black wires on the back of the stereo.

So I have a problem. I got ALL of the right stuff bought everything you see in this video and plugged everything in right but it’s not showing the mirroring on the screen. Yes the devices are getting power but I plugged the red white and yellow plugs to the head units harness which is where it had the video in and audio plugs but the head unit the DMC does not have the colorful plugs on it? Did I do something wrong? Please help thank you

With Kenwood (dnx696s) you have to use the 3.5 aux but I'm finding I get interference while no phone is plugged it. It especially messes up my backup camera, is there a reason it's messing up the receiver with no phone plugged in?

Can we use a chromcast @ the hdmi connection and give it power , would this cast wirelessly from your phone? This would eliminate most wire.

I have been on Amazon looking for the little “usb-c to USB adapters “ can some one inform me if that will work? What is audio quality going to be like? Right now I mostly use RU-vid Music for streaming and I have some downloaded that I use PowerAmp when I want the absolute best quality. Ideally , I'd like to be able to use PowerAmp and have the Visualizer show up on my screen, and be able to play RU-vid songs and have the video on screen. But NOT losing any sound quality

So just to be clear. You technically need to buy two 5VUSB Output adapters so then you would have 2 red and 2 black little cables to power. Can you power all four of them with the harness?

I bought the Samsung mirror kit from y'all and I'm having a problem the signal keeps coming in and out and there is no audio? I was thinking it might have been a power source issue so why change the USB plug to a cigarette plug USB to give it power and still did not work. I'm using a LG V40 phone with a Jenson Car910x. I installed one of those 12V to 5V usb converters that's rated at 3A but the charging of my Android phone is very slow. Either my 12 to 5 VDC power source is defective or this is a poor way to charge the phone. It could be bad cables also. I'll have to spend more money to figure out what is wrong.

So my Boss Audio BV9378NV it doesn't have straight up built into the head unit video in/out or whatever but the dongle that goes in their to be able to hook up a sub and everything else has the rca video in/out on their.... So does that mean that it will work....?? Also!!! To be able to mirror link on any stereo head unit... Does it have to run a Android operating System...?

I worked on installing the cabling for this mirroring but found that I couldn't get stable video. I had the AUX port turned ON and set to AUTO on my Pioneer but I tried all the settings for NTSC and PAL with no success. I heard that the mini-AV plug (3.5mm) to the RCA females may be miswired so I tried experimenting with the cable connections for the RCA plugs and jacks but I couldn't get it to work. And I get a buzz and unstable video when connecting the video to 2 of the RCA connectors. I'm wondering if I need to get an interface cable for the HMDI to USB-C cable that is specifically designed for DEX since DEX shows up on my Samsung Galaxy S8 and the display says DEX cables work better. Any thoughts? At least my phone does charge with this setup. UPDATE: I just checked my cables from the phone thru the HDMI converter to the RCA *plugs* when I connected to a TV with RCA jacks. I used a multimeter to check the RCA jacks to the 3.5mm AV plug for continuity and that checked OK - nothing shorted either. I don't have any other devices that will accept the mini-AV (3.5mm) plug. The plug is the right type because it has 4 "locations" on the plug (video, right channel audio, left channel audio, and shield). I guess I need to contact Pioneer for tech support.

ok got my dnx99xr 2019 installed with wireless carplay. i bought the kenwood ca-c3av i can watch that wireless to my radio screen in 720p since the resolution is 720p ( i jailbroke my phone and use the tweak called carbridge lite and mirror my screen to my phone. however i wanna get my ps/nintendo/snes classic to run in 720p however does the hdmi to rca lower thee quality? or does it mirror the screen resolution ? i dont want anything less than 720p any help?

How do you morror Iphone to Alpine ILX-W650?

If I am planning to mirror my iPhone w/ my Android HU would only the Lightning To HDMI Digital AV Adapter should suffice? My Android HU has multiple HDMI to display the picture and multiple USB Ports to power the device. I assume the sound from the iPhone will be able to travel through the HDMI cable along with the picture.

Would using the TOP-35AV1 on a Kenwood still allow me to use a front and rear camera set-up? I assume it would since it's adding the inputs but not sure if the head unit would only allow two incoming signals or it I would have to manually switch the inputs through the head unit to activate it and so forth
