No, as the units shown do not run android they are name brands :). Any unit with HDMI in or video in will work. Which is basically any unit with a screen.
Of coarse this would work! Every receiver head unit should have HDMI in and they don’t. I think it’s ridiculous that wireless video mirroring isn’t built into every receiver. Whose controlling this feature? Government regulation?
I've grounded my parking wire, and I'm using mirror link with my phone charger as I don't have hdmi in the unit, everything works but when I go to play Netflix or remote ps4 I get a blackscreen, any suggestions? Thank you!

I have a cheap Japanese head unit 7010b that was give to me and I have a new moto g stylus 2023 I would love some help mirroring my phone to my unit (side note to any and all negative Nancys and trolls the radio is in a work van and not gonna waste funds to upgrade when it's a working unit besides it was a gift.)

Is that’s shitty Apple cable.. mine does that same shit on my tv lol.. sometimes mine will not mirror Netflix on my tv. There will be no picture just audio. I believe Apple has something to do with shutting it down. It’s a common problem. If I reset my phone with the lighting convertor plugged in then it’ll usually work. Maybe a loophole lol? No clue

I have a Samsung Galaxy A10e with usb-c , A boss audio BV800ACP stereo. Can I use a usb-c to rca ( I found this cable on amazon) and connect my phone to the stereo with the rca inputs to mirror my phone to play RU-vid videos from my phone to my stereo ?

I just had a Pioneer AVH-521EX installed. It has RCA inputs. I got am HDMI to composit adapter. When I screen mirror via HDMI, the screen image is distorted and doesn't even fill up the head unit screen. Nowhere near as clear as in your video. Does that sound right or am I doing something wrong?

Not sure what the point of screen mirroring is the whole idea is that you're not holding your phone while driving, the whole point is that you use multimedia through the head unit

Run the wires to plug into your phone somewhere you can hide them if you like to your glove box or center console but so you can still access it to plug into them. Some people don't hide them at all they just bring them out through a hole in the front but I'd do it nicer in the console or something ya understand me Jeeves?
Sweet vid. ? Is this white adaptor 1080p. My unit is pioneer DMH -Z5350T I found a cable that is hdmi composite and was wondering would that work. Basically the cable is hdmi on the end I plug my phone into with the apple lightning adaptor and then the 3 rca on the rear of the unit. Also from the lightning adapter can I charge my phone at the sand time. Sry to be a pain but is this pioneer head unit res 1080p or 720p spec. Love the channel man with out seen the channel I wouldn’t of never did the VE upgrade on my sounds legend.
if you bought the one from apple, you can definitely get 1080p depending on what your watching. yeah it’s about $70 which is steep but you get what you pay for
I have the alpine 702d in my Vauxhall corsa d, Main reason I bought this is for the hdmi so I can mirror my iPhone, however when I select the hdmi, the audio comes out but no picture on the screen, just blank? Dumb questions, does this all have to be connected to back ports of stereo unit before mirroring, and how will the other end of connectors work once stereo is installed back in its housing? I'd like to do this for my 17 Maxima and Android phone. =).
If your android has a mirroring option or screen cast option then yes it will work. I'm speaking particularly about using the RCA ports that are for a front camera on the back of the headunit by using a stream beam mini plugged into the RCA Cable and then into the headunit. I'm using this setup and I have a Samsung Galaxy phone.
