I think James Tracy gave probably the most realistic reading of the Leinster 10 situation on OTB, saying that Frawley and Prendergast will probably be given opportunities in the first half of the season, but if they don't TAKE the jersey then it will most likely stay with Ross come the end of the year...

Agree with Luke, ✅️ England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 needs the URC it's not the other way around. Especially since three of their clubs 🏉 went under.❌️

Leinster have to win the URC at a minimum this season. Otherwise Leo's position will have to be reviewed.

Luke needs to accept that the current Leinster backline has not delivered in the games when it matters and any new signing is a welcome signing regardless of who it affects

The IRFU needs to remember what happened to the Heineken/Champions Cup after the RFU & FFR basically steamrollered the other members into accepting their 'revisions' to the format. Again, this most likely is just another ploy by the Premiership-RFU to gauge the financial interests of broadcast media. It's a bit bizarre when you consider the disarray that English Club Rugby continuously puts itself in. Instead of strengthening the foundation of the game by establishing clear pathways for promotion and relegation from the Championship level clubs (by investment in infrastructure for those clubs), the blazers seem hellbent on taking any 'shortcut' to more lucrative broadcast contracts. The results are there to be seen.

As a Leinster fan, all I need to know is how "desperate" the management and players are to "get over the line" this season, and I'm reassured. Also glad to hear there are "no excuses" this time around, just like a year ago, and a year before that. Once I hear that chipper "EHHHM, yeh no" from Leo after Friday's game, I'll know success is just around the corner and the lessons have been learned. And anyway, what lessons? We've won three Irish shields in a row. Hot favourites to get the fourth. Heady times. Also don't see what the problem is with the bottleneck at 10. Sure, ye can never have enough fly halves. And who says you need to select the best ones? If his dad is head of Cityjet, that's good enough for me.

Yes, Leinster didn't "need" to sign anyone, but I think the addition's of Snyman/Barrett/Slimani will introduce that element of 'unknown' that Leinster have needed. When's the last time Leinster signed anyone significant; Fardy/Lowe in 2017 !? There's obviously huge benefits to the Leinster system, but I think it's made them a little bit predictable, in terms of team's knowing who's going to start and what each individual player bring's to the table; maybe that has trickled into the Irish camp!?
