Thanks so much for showing all 3 of the light shades side by side on your arm and face! Perfect video :)! I agree, none of them work for fair skin with pink undertones.
knowing that fair light has a pink undertone is helpful! thank you so much for this video. I end up mixing fair and light depending on what time of year it is...and I will continue doing that. Thank you!
b weber so true! I’m pretty pale and I usually go for the “light” tone but when I tried this one it made me look tan lol. I think I might have to try fair light as I don’t think fair will suit me either
@@molliesicilianbrat I can make the "light" in the cc cream work (haven't tried "light medium" in that one) and I can make both "light" and "light medium" in the bye bye foundation work. Although the "light" in the bye bye foundation is a WAY better match... less tan/dark! So the shades definitely run lighter in the bye bye foundation compared to the cc cream. Hope that helps!
I had the same experience with fair and light. Light is too orangy on me. It oxidizes. You can see where it ends on my neck. I was shade matched to fair light online right now, but it looks way too pinky. Instead of buying that I ordered the LA girl mixers, so I can adjust my foundations at home. I will try to lighten the light shade alittle bit
Thanks so much for this video - you perfectly answered the question I had. I have the exact same problem, love the formula but the fair gives a weird gray cast. It’s also a bit too dark for me. I mix it with the Dermablend pigment drops in ON and it works okay, but man I wish they would just expand and improve the shade range for us pale girls!
Thanks for the swatches, I'm very light as well & I don't want to look pasty but when they add pigment it's like they ignore the undertone. I ordered fair light today based on ur vid & on Ulta's shade guide page. I don't really understand the "pink" undertones since most people have blue or yellow, then we put on pink undertone when we're pale & blue and look weird. The light on u look brown but on the faces they show for shade selection it look like we could wear medium. I wish they'd show 12 models with each shade match IRL on QVC when they well it - but today everyone wore medium or darker - even the seemingly pale women.
I have the same problem. Fair - I look unwell, Fair Light only works for me when I'm tanned at the height of summer. Gonna give Fenty's new hydrating formula a go because CC's crap shade range just isn't cutting it anymore. =/
I bought the Fair. Ugh. I want to like this product so badly, but it settles into my eye creases and I am just fussing with it to make it work. I look pale or sickly (like you mentioned "dead", I think of Data from star trek next gen) and then I end up applying even more makeup like blush etc to make it look ok. I am thinking of returning it. I wanted it because I tan so easily and my melasma is terrible and strangers tell me I have dirt on my face. I was hoping to cover AND prevent.
Ah I wanna try this! I kinda wanna get both formulas for winter and one for summer! I keep hearing so many good things about this CC cream. That sucks that the shade range isn’t that good.
I went to buy this a couple weeks ago and was severely disappointed in their shade range and obviously the lightest shade was sold out because I mean that was all they had so I'm glad to see they added at least a little bit more but it's still severely lacking that's for sure! I'm definitely going to need to check out the new shade range cuz I've wanted to try this for so long! Great review girl super appreciate all the info!
Yay!!! They needed this so bad!! I agree the cc is like a foundation. Thank you for the information you sweet girl! I don’t like orange pink. Sometimes I add some purple primer from Becca and it helps!! I think I’ll stick to fair. Light is so dark!!! Have you tried the Clinique beyond perfecting? It’s velvety like the cc and a great cover. I think it displaced my cc! Great review sweet tasia! 😘😘😘
I'm pale with yellowish undertones.. if I use a shade even slightly darker it's noticable but if I use the lightest shade it looks too white to my actual skin tone granted I can tan really dark naturally in the sun. But I'm scared of sunspots and rough dry skin if I did so. Also they added shades for only white people??? Can't they do better than this and why is there never a shade for olive skin in these launches?
I've had similar experiences with both fair & light so this video was super helpful. I agree, it would be nice to see even more shades as this is such a great product. Especially for beginners like me!
Hi Tasia. I would like u to add some of the new palettes, which have launched lately, like the Sultry palette from ABH, or the Nude palette from Huda, or any Kylie Cosmetics products, like their liquid lipsticks..they are my favourite nowadays..
ugh, I am a medium skin tone and even their medium doesn't work for me. I don't have money to buy multiple shades to mix either. As unoriginal as this sounds, why not a giftcard? That way you can make it international? If not, maybe any new or recent eyeshadow palette would be fun!☺️
The shade fair did the same for me. So grey! And it's way too dark for me even when I self tan lol I'm glad you found a way to combine shades to work better for you! ❤ I feel like most ppl really like eyeshadow palettes in giveaways.
Love your reviews! Honest and very helpful! I think a great thing for a giveaway would be a perfume or fragrance item. Everyone loves new scents but most people, including myself, never actually buy anything new or different. Just a thought!
Always love your reviews Tasia! I still haven’t tried this although I really want to. Glad to see they are trying to add more shades. Hopefully more will come. Excited to see your holiday giveaway 😊💖💖
I love this foundation! For some odd reason tho it breaks me out EVERY time I use it. Awesome video tho girlfriend! & yay for a giveaway! Maybe a giftcard, some mascara and/or lip stuff so you don’t need someone’s shade!
Thank you!! This is exactly what I needed to see. Love this stuff and it doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin but the fair shade is still too dark and yellow/orange on me so I was curious about the fair light because I definitely have more of a pink undertone. It’s obvious a perfect match is out of the question 😂
