Hello from the US. This has been the best tutorial ever on the CC creams from IT…. And I watch QVC when the company is represented. I am 66 and have one of each of these creams. I use them depending on my mood and find the shades to be so forgiving and great coverage since I now have broken capillaries and blue veins to cover. Believe me the blue is alot harder to cover since you get a bit of denting in that skin. Thanks a million!
Thank you Rose, for a great tutorial on IT Cosmetics foundations. It really helps to know what each of them will do as well as get the visual that you provided. As always, a great presentation.
Thanks so much Claudia. That is actually being reformulated and a new version is coming in the next couple of months, so I'll make sure I post an update to show you the new one too! Apparently it completely sets and has even more coverage. X
It Brushes are beautiful.. My issue with the complexion products is the shade range. I’m in between shades, so unfortunately I had to buy two. For anyone with dark under her eyes, the IT concealer in the little black tube is better than any of the other 30 Concealers that I own .. a little goes a long way, but it is fabulous.
This was the best explained video ever of the IT Cosmetics CC’s Cream .. . Thank you so much for going in depth of each one’s purpose and function ! Take Care!
Skin care has to be the start of good makeup application!!!! If someone doesn’t take care of their skin their makeup won’t look the best. Great video. I lovvvveeeee IT foundations… been using for years
I absolutely LOVE the IT cosmetics CC cream. So blendable, buildable, and lasts all day! It literally melts in to the skin after application, no need for powder (for me) and my skin is radiant and flawless due to the multiple skincare ingredients. Great for all ages, and skin type, and the bottle has so much product it lasts longer than bottles!
The thing with this CC cream is, the light shade was 2-3 shades darker than my skin tone! I could use it as a bronzer because how dark it is!! It's not light at all it was very medium brown dark!!! Didn't throw it away yet because it's not cheap!!
I’m so glad someone finally did this video to spell out the differences and truly do an in-depth demonstration . Thank you. I now see why the original wasn’t my favorite and the cc illumination didn’t quite work for what I was wanting either. I now see I would have a better result with nude glow. Because it was always the super full coverage that kind of made me not want it as much . I’ve owned this so many times and always wanted so badly for it to work. I intend to now purchase the correct one !!
Thank you for this really informative video. It was particularly nice to actually see you demonstrate the product on your skin. I have alot of redness also so it really showed me how nice the product worked. 😊😊
I am so glad I found you and this tutorial! I have been searching high and low for somewhere that actually stocks IT CC Cream so that I can find my correct shade. A Boots assistant told me that they only have it online(!). Thank you for all the amazing tips I really can’t wait to try this. What a pity that IT Cosmetics can’t make it more readily available in the UK. Thanks again, Rose x
Hi Trisha! Lovely to have you and thanks so much for watching. I think different Boots stores carry different brands, but don't worry you can absolutely find us in real life to try! There's Boots, Space NK, Sephora and Selfridges that have the brand in person. If you go onto their live chats they'll be able to tell you your closest area. And I'll definitely feed it back for you so that we can make it clearer on emails etc the locations to go in and try! XXX
This truly was one of (if not *the*) best product comparison information/tutorial videos I've ever seen and I've watched literally hundreds (makeup, hair care, hair styling, etc). You did a fantastic job of covering product info, issues, questions, and pro-tips. And even though you are a brand ambassador for It Cosmetics, you are unbiased enough to talk about other products. Well done! Because of this video, I will now purchase the CC Nude Glow. It Cosmetics is very luck to have you.
Hi Stacy, thank you for such a lovely message, this really means so much to me! I absolutely love IT Cosmetics, but I also know they're not in everybody's budget so I always try to ensure I give other options. I'm so glad it all shone through for you. Thank you so, so much for writing in. You've made my whole weekend! XXX
I purchased the Nude Glow and after I got home discovered the sunscreen ingredients it contained are known irritants, hormone disrupters, and carcinogens. In fact…the one ingredient is almost seven times higher than the recommended amount. The Original has the same chemical sunscreen ingredients while the other two contain safe mineral ingredients. Not sure why IT cosmetics would put the effort into including anti-aging ingredients in their products only to ruin it by adding ingredients that are harmful to one’s health. I will definitely be returning mine.
I used to mix the OG with the oil free and it was lovely. I don’t like a super dewy look because I’ve had super oily skin all my life and always fought break through shine starting 5 minutes after I applied an oil free foundation. In the past 10 years, my skin decided to become sensitive and much drier. I really like the Bye Bye Foundation. It’s slightly more dewy than I would prefer, but not as dewy as the OG. IT is the only foundation- in one form or another- that I have used in at least 15 years.
How wonderfully informative, thoughtful & helpful this demonstration is! Thank you. I have not used IT cosmetics yet but I shall certainly try them now.
Hello from USA… I had this cream for one year, I hated it cuz it never stayed on. Last week, I watched this video (thanks to youtube for random suggestion), tried your tip and I fell in love with it. For FIRST time, it stayed on beautifully all day long. I used ELF brand primer, set it with a my all time favorite Fenty Beauty translucent powder and NYX setting powder. Until I tried your tip, I never had this much satisfaction with my makeup. Simple routine - CC cream, eyebrows and mascara.
,I love It cosmetics but I have found the colors appear so much darker than they used to be. Very yellow toned, I do like the original, tried the nude glow but it never seems to dry down and at 67, don't like powdering my face, makes me look to matte. Thanks for the tips and trying each formula for us to see!!
Thank you for this....have used IT CC Cream for years because of its excellent coverage....My favorite makeup. Now I will be trying the oil free as I prefer less shine.
I appreciate all the detail you shared! Personally, I now use Korean BB creams & am much happier. Purito is a favorite or Missha. It CC cream contains citrus oils. I've tried it many ways but was never really pleased. YMMV
Just to echo the other comments here. Best tutorial I’ve seen. Very informative & ‘nice to see ‘real life’ skin for a change too! Great tips re finishing powder too. Have subscribed to your channel on the strength of this one video! 👍🏻 Thank you!
I have tried to love IT CC cream for years and never realized my issue was the dewy finish. I am going to check out the Matte finish. This video is so great I think I will be able to work with my CC cream better
Thank you rose for the great information you have given us . I usually apply the foundation and buff too much on my skin so the tip you gave regarding being light handed with the brush has helped me a lot . Now my foundation looks so much better and have better coverage. Love the original and the illumination. Will try the nude since I’m getting older and need a little more skincare and glow
Brillant video! I wish I had seen this a few months ago before purchasing. (All recommended by an associate..but neither is right) I see so many tips that will help and I will try. You have an excellent delivery ..well done!
Hi Rose; I just found you - where have you been for the last few years, I’ve needed recommendations for foundations, and I came across IT Cosmetics but I was confused about which one to get. I have the matte version in medium on my shopping list. You’re my fairy godmother now 🤗 I’ve watched other channels, but they aren’t as detailed with the products. Thank you so much ☺️
Hi Karen, I'm glad we have finally crossed paths! So happy to hear that this was helpful. Are there any other IT Cosmetics products you'd like to learn a bit more about? I'll keep them in mind for future videos! XX
Was prepared to watch for only 5 seconds because of grabby title. Happy to say, excellent vid!!! So good. Thank you. Will get more bang for my buck and staying with IT cosmetics
That's such interesting feedback, I genuinely meant the title to be helpful but those clickbait titles put me off too. I'm pleased that you enjoyed nonetheless! Thank you so much for watching. XX
@@RoseGallagher I think it looks better on you, great on you, but I'm 78 and I don't think it would work for me. I use both the original and the illumination. I also have the no pores setting powder but I wish I had purchased that in the compact rather than the loose powder.
Hello from the US. This was the best most informative video I have seen on IT Cosmetics. I found your video on a whim today and I have now subscribed from this one video. You are darling and I love the accent! Fun fact my entire family is from England. Plymouth to be exact and I was the first one born in the states in my family. Half my family lives here in Indiana and the other half still lives in Plymouth. Lovely lovely video. XXX
Great tutorial been using IT cosmetics for a few years. Really helps with my red skin! Think I need to change my colour as light medium feels bit dark just now. Love the coverage❤😊 fancy trying oil free cc
I had always been interested in It cosmetics but I have never liked the Dewey look. I am very oily so looking dewy is not a draw for me. However, the matte look can look flat. I really did not know that It cosmetics carried an oil-free, matte foundation. I think I will take a closer look. The finish is beautiful and soft.
Great video I love it cc cream. I bought the book with products. I have no idea how to use them I would love a video on it. I'm sure alot of people would love it Thank you
I love I the US and have dry, mature skin. The 1st time I ordered the Illuminating I found it to Glowy and emphasized texture. So I just ordered the original hoping it will not be as glowy
Thanks, Rose. I have the original, the Matt & also Your Skin but better foundation in glass bottle. They all work a treat on my skin It’s the only CC cream/ foundation that doesn’t cause me outbreaks, you know them little white heads around the nostril area I even wear it when away in Greece with temperatures high… I’m not advocating sitting in the high temperatures just solely depending on your factor 50/40 in your cc cream But just dipping in & out of the sun, it works for me, I have never sunburnt my face I always get compliments when wearing it cosmetics, “you have lovely skin” so that’s good, as I HATE heavy make-up. I just received my order of “it girl beauty book 4” Delighted with it The only gripe I have is a little gig with the design to include some slots to place brushes within.
Morning Caroline, I hope you're keeping well! I'm sorry for my late reply, I've just seen this lovely message now. I'm so pleased it works well for you and I agree re the hot temperatures. I used the original on my best friend this weekend just gone for her wedding and it lasted beautifully! So glad the IT Girl Beauty Book is working well for you too and that's a great idea about the brush slots. I will feed that back for you. Have a lovely rest of the week XX
Hi Rose, thank you for your video and all the information on the CC creme. I wanted to reach out to you about rosacea. It's caused by a vitamin deficiency... especially A and E. I also had it and began taking a healthy regimen of vitamins each day instead of prescription medication. Within a few weeks, my rosacea was completely gone. Haven't had a breakout since.
"Radiant" foundations to me just make people look like they have super oily skin, I don't see it as "glowy" skin at all. I've tried to use them, now that I'm getting older and have drier skin now, but I just don't like the way they look. 😢
My friend loves the CC cream and speaks highly of it. I eventually broke down and recently got it. I dont like how thick and goopy it is. Sorry. But I really did want to like it.
Great video and presentation. This video is longer my attention span but I watched the entire thing. I loved the explanation and content. Using your iPhone I got a “real” feel for the products rather than other vids. Others appear filtered and I’m left feeling… my application doesn’t look like that..but with this vid it looks more realistic. I dunno what’s going on with IT cosmetics. I started using IT cosmetics when it first came out when Jaime advertised it herself on tv. Best best best thing out. I’m sure no one remembers the white tube moisturizer. Coverage and 50spf in one and you can tell it looked like real skin. These CC cream variations can’t compare. Since L’Oréal took over I find the products are not the same. Also they discontinued the miracle water which I’m so disappointed about. It really was the best best best. I hope they continue the eyebrow pencil and vitality face palates.
I had rosea until I diligently went to work on my nutrition. I very seldom have even a slight flare up. I do think a good makeup does help to protect your skin from irritants.
Please please please bring back the bye bye neutralising cream please please please. I just found out it's been discontinued and I can't get it anywhere. I cannot live without it 😭😭😭
Rose… what do you do if, after you’ve applied the cc cream and translucent powder(I prefer matte over shine), after you blow your nose? The makeup will come off on the nose area. I have not found anything that doesn’t transfer when I blow my nose. I had brain surgery 16 months ago and the right side of my nose runs a lot. I’m doing great by the way! 😊
Hey there! First of all, I'm so pleased to hear your surgery went well and that you're doing well now! Re the make-up, I'm afraid anything really will come off once you blow your nose. The best suggestion would make is to bring a little portable touch-up stick with you, something like the Lancome or Urban Decay sticks which have a little brush at the end of them, and touch up your nose after blowing. XX
Very informative video thank you, you really enjoy your job I can tell . I’m a 68 year old with olive complexion , I do however have a couple of age spots and wrinkles, I don’t like anything heavy , what would recommend for me please? I’ve never used IT cosmetics . , but can’t wait to try. Thank you
Thanks for the tips. Do you have any more for dry skin? I have dry skin (no flaking) and I experience two problems with the original cc: 1) It settles really badly into my fine lines and wrinkles, even though I’ve dabbed off any excess product. I can’t use powders. They all dry me out. 2) It dries my skin out. It feels so nice when I first out it on. I moisturise, I use a hyaluronic acid primer and setting spray, and still it dries me out like only mattifying foundations do.
Hi Erica, thanks so much for these insights and I will use them to make some follow up content! In terms of setting your makeup, do you ever use setting spray? I used to be a bit of a cynic about most of them but recently I've found a couple of great ones (Half Magic Beauty and the classic from Urban Decay) and they really do make a difference and help to precent any makeup settling but without needing powder. And then in terms of the dryness, how often do you exfoliate? I wonder if you slotted in an exfoliant maybe once or twice extra a week whether it would make a difference to how your makeup sits and feels. Let me know and we can take the rest from there XX
Thank you for your reply. Yes, I do use setting spray. I have never tried Urban Decay's, I think it's too expensive, but I have bought about it many times. I exfoliate almost every day. The foundation just settles like crazy into my fine lines, so does the NARS light reflecting foundation. The NARS ones also completely disappears from my face within about 2hrs. Barely a trace of foundation left. I moisturise and put on SPF after, and I try with setting sprays. Recently I've even tried with a good quality setting powder, even though they dry me out, and it made no difference. It just seems impossible or me, or I just can't find a foundation that works for me. Thanks all the same for trying to help. Best regards. @@RoseGallagher
This sounds perfect for me my skins so dry and don't do good with layers no matter what I use and what I do. And I love dewy looks. How do we know how much spf is in her though? As I need spf more than anything else. Can we still do the 3 finger rule so we're protected x
@rosegallager PLEASE! ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED! Does IT have a base that is for cool toned skin? All ive seen seems and looks VERY yellow. That will never work for me! My other issue.. is i cant color match my makeup for my skin color to save my life!! I need a color matching blend. Light-light medium. I hate matt finish. I like dewy. I found one almay and they discontinued. I bought what i could find online and im almost out... Spending $10-15-20-30 on a bottle or tube that gets used once is ridiculous to me i dont want to go broke! ANOTHER ISSUE... i have aging skin. Im 53. I also have redness I dont want to look like im wearing clay with lines! Please help. Thanks so much!❤
I’ve tried both the original and the matte and both are super heavy for me. Also it seems like no matter how much powder I apply it just never dries down. I know so many people love it but it’s just not for me.
So sorry to hear they're feeling quite full for you Holly. I agree, they stay quite creamy on the skin and don't necessarily set, it's largely because of the skincare base. Have you tried the Your Skin But Better Liquid foundation? Based on what you've said here that might be a nicer alternative for you, it's less coverage too. X
Rose, the Bye Bye Pores powder is amazing. The first time I used it I was gobsmacked! I had seen videos of showing it was good but I was skeptical until I tried it! It is really that good. It's wonderful to someone else with rosacea looking so beautiful even without the makeup. The problem I have is the redness gets worse as the day goes on & starts to show through. Do you have suggestions?
Hi Rose! Such a good video, thank you for that! I'm a big fan of the CC cream. Would you say that one of them would suit for bridal make-up? It does need to last long and preferably not transfer? I am considering switching to this line for my brides.
I didnt even know there was an oil free....I have illumination and regular and theyre both wayy too shiny! I dont know if I can risk another 50$ after shipping just on hoping its finally the one.
