Druzhina actually means a group of people, a retinue or a warband of a leader. For a single member of this group the correct term would be druzhinnik.

I gotta say that the partly Refund for Pharaoh and now some new free stuff for an already sold dlc is something is quite unusual from what I've seen in most cases. Of course that was much needed for the DLC, but still somewhat unexpected, at least for me. Don't have it yet, but I am far more inclined to do so now. This gives me some hope, that the Apology from CA could actually be meaningful and more than just PR. It's worth noting, that they changed the name of the Norscan Frost Wyrm to "Chaos Frost Dragon". And this is the new(actual) Frost Wyrm.

Silenced doesn't remove magical attacks, it prevents units/characters from using abilities/casting spells. The removal of magical attacks is just another effect the iteam has, but it is independent from the silenced attribute.

You definitely need a closer look at the Lore of Hags considering how overcasting turns a lot of them from debuffs (against the enemy) to buffs (for your units).

One small thing you missed is astromancer for cathay can use moon bird as a mount. Honestly makes them very useful, caster on a terror causing super fast bird. Kinda makes the alchemist look like chopped liver..guess if you need metal caster, but only has one mount option.

On a side note @Zerkovich heads up, the scroll the Champions of Tzeentch get don't cast the 3 spells at once. It casts one of the 3 spells at random when you use the the ability.

Celestial Lion looks like a useful Manticore. Frost Wyrm is a great way to use the Cathay dragon rig. I think dwarfs might actually get a golem based off the sentinel.

I do hope we get all of Thrones of Decays units off the bat instead of having to wait for the extra units later

wow the clipping on the wings of the celestial lion is pretty egregious

I'm not a grumpy old-guard or anything, and I love a lot of the higher fantasy ice magic units Kislev has, giving it a more pronounced theme that isn't just "empire but extra polish". But the new golden hero unit for Kislev looks like it'd be an elite hero among Age of Sigmar Thunder Warriors, or an elite hero unit for Tzeench if the blue was fire instead of ice. It's cool but jarring.

Fantastic overview, Mister Zerkovich! Definitely enough of a content boost to make the DLC worth it IMO. Will be sure to pick it up before starting a Kislev campaign.

I bought this dlc shortly after it was released and I was quite satisfied, but with all those new additions I think buying this dlc is definitely worth it

I like the additions of Kislev specially. It avoids to fall into the flanderization of a "bear army" it was so dangeriously gettin close

Now they really need new things for the warhammer 1 factions mainly vampire counts empire and dwarfs

You should do a video on the Lore of the Hags, since overcasting any of the spells, makes them buff allies or at the very least, prevents them from taking damage from your own spells.

I can def buy the DLC now when they are adding these things to the DLC! On a sale ofcourse ;)

I'm a bit disappointed for two reasons on the character design front. For the Kislevite Warriors I would have loved to see them wielding war scythes, a really cool and unique weapon that fits their role as an armor piercing anti-large infantry, as historically the units that used them were able to defeat formations of french knights. They are also Polish in origin so they fit the aesthetic for Kislev along with their winged hussar like cavalry, also the axe forks just look awkward. The second is for Cathay, I would have liked to see the Celestial Lion more closely resembles a Qilin, it's almost there just a few tweaks to the design and change the name and it would have been perfect.

The Kislev units look great not tried kislev yet but I might now.

This new Kislev things are great. For me they are the must have for PvP (almost always get the dogs, Grandma, sometimes the Elemental).

Decent if not pretty good units, but I have a big problem: historically, a druzhina was a group of warriors, specifically the household guard of Kievan Rus (later Ukrainian, Belarussian and Russian) princes. If they wanted a single entity, they should have gone with druzhinik, but I guess GW made that call so...

Katarin always talked about "her porpoise", who knew it was actually a cathayan dragon but frozen. Also she doesn't slide down from the chair cause her butt is frozen to it.

i already have the dlc but my favorite addition is saytang, finally we get a construct hero for cathay. Even though i have a shit load of mods for the game these will still make a massive impact on how the ai will play. Plus yes i think its now worth getting this dlc.

Katarin's sled is WTF tier of strong. You can charge it into the entire enemy infantry line, once they are locked in melee, from the side and it just won't stop. It's like bowling with a tank.

1:31 dont forget that silence also means you cant cast spells. If you keep her on top of another lord/hero, they cant use magic

Looks like a solid addition. As a lifelong table top Warhammer player, the prices of Total War DLC's always seemed fair to me, even with the price hike. I am desensitized to paying $50+ for a single model I still have to assemble and paint myself. $25 for a slew of ready-to go models/units that looks amazing and add to an already rich and complex game is fine by me.

You forgot the overcast effect for the spells! (which was announced to give buffs instead of hexes)

The value proposition for the Shadows of Change certainly seems a lot better now.

For exalted Hero...he does not put all 3 spells on a target at once. He rolls abilities and it's a gamble what spell will be chosen. And Kislev hero silences the caster so he can not cast spells.

With how the lore of hags forbidden ferns spells visuals hopefully we are once step closer to finally getting the lore of athel loren

I was afraid the Changebringers would be a meh unit like the Flaming Chariot and would basically proved to be useless. In case anyone is wondering why I thought that, it's because I thought they would have typically the same kind of change compared to their base unit, the regular Flamers, as the Flaming Chariot (base unit being Exalted Flamer), hence: - flying (which often means being hard-focused by the AI especially as the flying version is worth more value, but provides liberty of movement) - speed (to be tested, Changebringers may have more speed than regular Flamers, but as it's a unit that will often gain from staying in the ground in order to attack infantry, will it have more speed on the ground as well?) - more health (and hence more barrier) - more charge bonus BUT also several maluses/downgrades: - as aforementioned, being a flying missile units with low range and more value means being focused by flying and missile AI units. - less ammunition (Flaming Chariot as a meager 9 compared to the 15 of the Exalted Flamer) - less range (Flaming Chariot fall to 90 compared to the 150 of the Exalted Flamer) I was also expecting the Changebringers to have an extra nasty downgrade compared to regular flamers in having less entities. I seriously expected them to have 9 instead of 12, so I'm very happy it's not the case. It makes sense that they went this way and really made them just flying Flamers, rather than give them the Flaming Chariot treatment, as the Flying Chariot doesn't need as much range as it really is advantageous for it to stand right above its target anyway, and due to its preferred type of target (single entity units) and its mobility, it's quite perfect for its job any way and would maybe a bit overpowered if it didn't get it's downgrades. The Changebringers however keep multiple entities units as their target of choice and therefore gain less advantage from being flyers as they will have to land anyway to get their shots right and gain much less from their newfound mobility thant the Flaming Chariot. Note that however, they can't fire while moving, unlike the Flaming Chariot. In conclusion, I was disappointed at the new regular units for Tzeentch (Lord and Hero are very good though), because Centaures are meh, niche, and will work only in early/mid game; and Changebringers would likely (due to the receiving at priori the same treatment than the Burning Chariot) a downgrade rather than a upgrade.

I have been REALLY enjoying Cathay. Haven't played too much Kislev.

Slight correction with the golden knight. The lack of AP is entirely pointless. She has both frostbite and magical attacks.

I think the new spells are inverted when overcasting. Like a hex becomes a buff

2:20 small mistake. The armoured kossars with great weapons are only anti armour, not anti-large. Kislev currently doesn't have any anti large units beside the warbear riders and the light kossars with spears if I recall correctly. So the kislevite warriors are a much needed anti large unit which Kislev lacked ;)

I like the additions but Cathay really needs some infantry

The Book of Secrets does NOT apply all three effects simultaneously, it is a RNG effect that randomly chooses one after it is activated. Three Fate of Bujnas on an item would be incredibly broken, let a lone ride along effects.

I feel Kislev got the best out of this update. New badass lord, kickass hero, new useful tier 1 anti large infantry, beefy Frost Wyrm, Lore of the Hag, and Katarin having a really awesome sled. Chaos Lord and Exalted Hero of Tzeentch are really welcome additions too, especially the Lord one-handing a two-handed halbard.

Picked up the dlc. the only thing stopping me before was the fact that I didn't feel the content was worth the price. Now there's more stuff, that is worth it, so I'm so happy to pay the price. May even get me to play kislev finally.

Anyone else notice the messed up texture on the Exalted hero's chest? Its on the left side behind his halberd and you can see it when he turns. I hope that isn't part of this patch or it'll never get fixed.

Kislev got so much added to them where as the other 2 factions got a few new units and 2 new heroes

I hope they work finally on an empire / dawi update. They seem to be lacking to answer the unites they are up to.

I thought for sure that they'd give Baba Yaga (or whatever her name is) her Chicken-Legged Hut and flying cauldron as new mounts.

I appreciate the effort thats gone into making the DLC more worth the price. IMO around £12.99 was a low enough cost for me to justify it without too much thought, but when they're asking for £20, they're hitting that mark where it's 1/2 or 3/4s of a game cost on a DLC. Helldiver's 2 is £34.99, I can have an entire game for £15 more. The additions won't change my mind on the DLC and I just don't know if I'll continue to play this game I hven't played it since early last year, which is a shame because I thought WH2, while having it's issues, was great. This whole game from launch has felt like I have a sour taste in my mouth. Espeically when the update is almost 6 months after the DLC and they're still likely going to charge £30-40 quid for the next faction. Costs are up sure, but speak to my wages, they sure fucking aren't. I know I'm being somewhat contradictoy saying its good to have the additional units but I'm probably not going to support the game. I honestly would have preferred a Troy style price drop, somtime last year, then give the additional units in the next DLC for £20 or stick to the lower unit count for the lower price. But hey, if you're enjoying the game then thats awesome, I wish I could without having to do it soley through Zerk's videos.

Is it enough? I think it is indeed enough. I see honest effort and high quality in some of those units. Especially the monsters (obviously peasants and crossbowmen aren't high effort) and chaos units (the 3headed guy looks amazing).
