I just purchased these and they are amazing but I paid 280 plus, still amazing boot for hours straight!

I don't think I'm out of fashion, but the background music is very distracting. Hopefully positive feedback for the next report

Quick question do u go up a size like simms recommends? I'm an 11 shoe and snagged a 12 in Missoula. About to take them out soon but was wondering if they will pack out and be loose in the future? I've noticed so e reviews saying buy true to size. They fit great with waders on walking around the house but I do have a little room in the toe box. Thanks.

I have always went up a size on wading boots. After wearing these for the past 6 months, I never felt I needed to go down a size. If you typically run a boot a size up, I would continue to do that.

Hi! What do you think about the diference in the toe cup in comparisson with the old flyweight? It seems less durable..
@flyprojectusa
@flyprojectusa 2 года назад
We think they are similar. There is still a toe guard on both. The outsole may not be quite as tough but we do think the sole will have a better grip because it is softer.
@manuelrega5046

@@flyprojectusa thanks for your answer! so the big diference is the sole, in terms of confort do you found any change??
@flyprojectusa
@flyprojectusa 2 года назад
@@manuelrega5046 Jay… in the video lives them and we think the slightly higher boot combined with the softer sole does make it more comfortable than the previous model.

Hi Jay. After owning 2 pair of the older Flyweight boot, just interested how the the latest Access model is lasting? The older models last me just over 12 months before the start badly deteriorating. The upper TPU start to disintegrate, stitching on the rear finger pull comes apart, the top fabric lace eyelets give way, laces last about 8 months. Why the hell would I buy another pair? I suffer from dodgy knees, they are the lightest most comfortable boots I’ve ever owned, do I go with these, hoping Simms have fixed the issues I mentioned or try the Orvis lightweight? Thanks in advance👍🎣 🇬🇧

Hey Peter, I wore them quite a bit in the early season, but I have not gotten much use out of them since summer hit since I am mostly wet wading. I plan on doing an update once the temps start to drop. It is safe to say these will wear much faster than the older model Flyweight Boot.

@@flyprojectusa I’m in a dilemma, I’m off to Bosnia at the end of September, my current Flyweights are on there last legs, might have to bite the bullet and try the Orvis Lightweights out. 👍🎣

so I was wondering how did they work out for you. I tried on a pair today Wow! I really enjoyed the comfort. How are they wearing? do you like them better than the G3?
@flyprojectusa
@flyprojectusa Год назад
They are holding up. I didn't put as many miles on them as I would have liked this past season but I still recommend them. I have a couple, small gouges from rocks but that's about it. I am impressed with the overall traction that they have but what stands out the most is the comfort. Walking on concrete or standing in the drift boat is very noticeably better than the typical rigid Vibram sole on a G3. The outer has held up perfect as well. Let me know if you have any other questions. - Jay

my current flyweights have lasted alittle over an year, prob 180+ days on the water. the welded tpu film now delaminating and taking some of the outsole with it. the vibram rubber still seems in decent shape. im curious about the durability. at $250, it would seem worthwhile to me if i'd get the same upper/outsole durability, but with increased grip.

@@neillee4406 Hey Neil, The materials used are definitely similar to the previous model. Time will tell how these will hold up. keep an eye out for a follow up video here in the future. Thanks for watching

Ths is what i want to know too. felts banned for me and i havne't replaced them with anything decent. I'm wondering how close these will be to felt as far as being able to stand and grip/walk on a huge steep sloped rock surfaces covered in the slippery slime and weeds that coat saltwater waterline

will theseboots actually keep your feet dry while standing in water?
@flyprojectusa
@flyprojectusa Год назад
The boots are not waterproof, so you need to wear waders with them if you want to stay dry.

How is the fit/ sizing?
@flyprojectusa
@flyprojectusa 2 года назад
@JMonkey the fit is very comfortable and similar to the fit of most of the other Simms Boots. They are extremely lightweight and feel great walking the trail and wading.

If you have a wide foot like me these are great. i have a 9 and half foot size sneaker my boot is an 11 with simms waders.

I had a chance to try them on today, I really thought comfort was the I have ever worn. Almost to comfortable. They woulf be great in the water but I am concerned about hiking in them, It would be nice if they gave us a wear update.
