A simple boring and basic moisturizer is the best because not only we provide the necessary hydration and occlusion needed to keep our skin in good condition but also we are checking our budget. Budget friendly skincare products both original and dupes are helpful because they contribute in such a way for us to not completely drop buying products essential for a good skin maintenance. I was about to say the same thing. $2.99 you get the jar and then you refill it. Now, if only the lotion tubes, the small ones that fit in your purse, would have a really wide opening that you could refill.
Video Topic Request: I really need some help with burning eyes from products. I would love a video going over ingredients to avoid in lotions/creams/makeup for people with sensitive eyes. Also what products/ingredients can you put on your eyelids and what products not to put on them.
It's going to be individual. Dr Dray did a video a few years ago on sunscreens for the eyes. You might be better off with an eye doctor (ophthalmologist Dr. Rupa Wong has a video on sensitive eyes re: makeup and Eye School with Dr. D has an older one).
Not sure if you saw this, but Dove has a new Scalp Therapy line that says it was developed with Dermatologists and I am LOVING it! They have both a clarifying, and hydrating shampoo and conditioner. I have such an itchy and itchy scalp the I am really enjoying the clarifying shampoo, with the hydrating conditioner on the bottom half of my hair! I like to shampoo daily and I was a little worried the clarifying shampoo would be too much, and its not! I find it to be clarifying but still gentle enough to use every day if you are very oily. Highly recommend this line!
I am so glad you suggested Tree Hut. For years I have just walked right by the brand. I'm not into sugar scrubs but the shave oil is fabulous!! I am now delving into a few of the items from Up & Up due to them being so $ friendly. Not disappointed so far!! Thanks for all you do!❤

PS: In the 70’s, Pantene was a luxury brand shampoo which was available only in the cosmetics/perfume section of large department stores ! Then the company went mass market by going into pharmacies to increase sales and market share.
My skin is so sensitive and the Cetaphil Gentle Clear face wash is the only salicylic acid wash I can use that doesn’t turn my face beet red. I love it, and thank you for the recommendation.
For everyone in the UK- just had an email from Boots saying new in from cerave the advanced repair ointment - woohoo- looks to be the same as the cerave healing ointment that Dr Dray uses which I've previously never found sold in this country!

Ive got beef with Target… they discontinued the Flamingo body lotion and body butter (in the green packaging) and now i have to find a NEW favorite body lotion and I am not emotionally prepared for that 😭
Thx a bunch Dr. Dray for this video. I have a hard time finding face washes that don't irritate my skin (it's highly sensitive and dry.) That Cetaphil face wash with moisturizer looks promising for my skin. Also, for some weird reason, I never really thought about shopping at Target for face and body wash, but the prices are looking very affordable, which is a huge plus.😊
I love the Vaseline Body Balm, especially for travelling long haul! Every now and then I dab it all over my face ro prevent moisture loss from my skin, so my skin is not dry when I arrive at my destination!

RE: Vaseline all over body stick ... Game changer for keeping hands moisturized while working at the computer. I can apply it to only the back of my hands and not get my finder tips all greasy for my computer touch screen and keyboard.
You suggested the Neutrogena Stubborn body acne. I tried it and it has worked for me. I have been trying for years to get rid of my back acne with different soaps, change in diet, and different body scrubbers. None of that worked and I gave up. Thank you so much, my body feels brand new ❤️

Happy women's day Dr. Dray. I've stuck to using Palmers Cocoa, CaraVe, and Cetaphil these days. Trying my best to use less but always looking for something for dark spots. Also, need something that works well for eczema dry skin combination. Dr. Dray, I wish there was a way to send you an image to get your opinion.
I see that the new packaging for the cetaphil cleanser is 2 ounces smaller than the old packaging. we should really start boycotting brands that continue to do this
I bought the vaseline mini petroleum jelly one time, now I refill it with the store brand. The mini is overpriced, unless it becomes a perfect.sized refillable container for your purse.
Look at Korean skin care products for suncare & other applications. Great products & good prices. I use Skin1005 sunscreen 50++. House of Josen is high quality as well.
I have a la Roche posay moisturizer that has that coolkind package tip (less plastic) or whatever. And I hate it. It’s not easy to click open for someone who doesn’t have long nails. I love the moisturizer but because I hate the tip, I don’t like using it.
Do you have a video on the "Say Yes to" brand ..like say yes to tomatoes,cucumbers etc? I've watched alot of your target and drug store trips and searched but don't see you review them. Do the store brands that make dupes, make vegan and cruelty free stuff? In the UK most store branded dupes are made cruelty free,unlike the branded stuff, so it's always much better to buy 😊 i wonder if it's similar in the US?
Help Dr Dray! With all the new foundations and makeup primers having niacinamide in their formulas these days, do I need a separate niacinamide serum? My moisturizer has only 2% so I was using a serum also but now all these primers and foundations are putting it on their formulas, can a person use too much?
I would check her video, top 3 myths about niacinamide. She goes over not needing a separate serum and talks about the fact that many products have niacinamide in them and that niacinamide effectiveness has been tested at between 2% - 5%.
I’ve recently seen some other derms talk about how benzoyl peroxide wash can cause cancer? Can you please consider making a video about this. I use that wash every other day in the shower on my body.
Dr Dray, do you think diaper rash cream would work well as an aftershave for men who have sensitive necks? I've been using the Nivea Post Shave Balm and it works alright, but wondering if there may be something better.
