@rednosepit301 Thanks. They do have a strong smell unless you have good ventilation and do change the bedding often. I change the bedding about every three days. They do chew on the plastic but I watch it and they have never got out. The only thing I recommend is to use a metal washer where the water is. If you've seen my rat video you know what I mean. I will be shooting another rat video soon.
@llBrownedll You should but I do not have a place away from my two racks where I can keep them warm. I do check for mites before I put them into their tubs and when they pass their first stool I check to see if it looks weird. I haven't had any problems yet. I am going to build a quarantine rack in the near future.
Nice thats a nice system you have going there. I was thinking about breeding rats for my small collection. Do they smell bad? Have they ever tried to escape
@MrJerrylee1974 I'll also have some good Spiders, Pinstripes, Pastels, and Lessers next year if you're interested. I might have some other more complex morphs as well.
@MrJerrylee1974 Justin Kobylka and Ralph Davis. BHB has very good morphs but I didn't like that they shipped two snakes to me without any heat pack. The inside of the box was so cold when I opened it up.
@danchinoh All I have to say is i've never been bitten and I plan to do my best not to. I hold my big 2200 gram female all the time. Once I get those two smalls to tame down I wont use the hook. Some people don't mind being bit but if you can do something to prevent it then why not?......
