I feel like I need to help you out... Install a foam that has aluminum foil on the side opposite of the body sheet metal. Aluminum reflects heat really well. It's about the infrared wavelength. You could also add aluminum foil to the face of the sheet metal facing the engine. I promise if you do that it will be nice and cool. An even better idea is to add steel sheets right under the aluminum. The engine will heat up and start radiating...it will heat up the steel, the aluminum foil will reflect and spread it....then the body sheet metal and finally the foam and second aluminum foil over it. The convection part with the radiator under the car is something that you also could duct out. Again try to use steel sheet metal and aluminum duct tape...like the kind with the really thick glue because you want separation. Anyway I hope this helps. Steel is a really bad heat conductor while aluminum is a great heat spreader and reflector.

I've got a 98 minicab truck. What would you reccomend doing for a stereo setup in 2024? Do the same thing you did? Or would you do something different?
