I have a Vin Mod Jazz Bass Fretless...thing is sweet! Duncan Designed pups. Also have an Affinity V with a Classic Vibe maple neck...love these basses. Looking to get The Classic Vibe 70s.
My 5 string CV Jazz natural color is tied with my Fender Player P bass for my favorites of the 10 basses I have owned. I plan on getting the 4 string in black.
Well, The strings are headed for the trash, and I’m going to bury the bridge under some rocks just to make sure some unsuspecting head doesn’t accidentally try to use it. (Stripped saddle screws, but I never intended to keep it anyway) That being said, I love this thing!!! Sounds great and has a silky fast neck. WELL WORTH THE MONEY!
bought this bass as SOON as i found out it was a thing a few months back. had so many telling me it was no different than the VM 70s but that spacing makes a good bit 'o difference.
@@00100101001010101 it's a tonal difference in the mid range to high end. it also affects the the tone of the natural scooping when the pickups are on together.
look for comparison videos, there are videos with 10 to 20 different basses. play blind and press pause when you like a sound. thats how i ended my p bass demand and found out that i am a j bass guy.
Personally me i dont like ibanez sound for bass may b due to humbker pickup it sounded like boomy like sound from only pickup for me I feel like deep tone in jazz bases feels like sound comming directly through wood
Looks like they changed the fretboard color to a more darker maple. WOW. I had the Vintage modified and didn't like the very light color of the fretboard which was an ugly fit with the natural color body. Now we're talking!
Please note that there is no quality control whatsoever on the woods used in this guitar. You can have a lucky pick and it will hold the use of time, or the bass will have warping neck after 2 and a half year.
@@boboutelama5748 Played many Squiers and that's quite rarely the case. I've had Mexican fenders warp after several months. If you REALLY want a super stable instrument, shell out more $$ my guy.
Well, you'd have to throw in a hi mass bridge too but it'd still be around the same. I like guided bridges and even better, ones with locking intonation
Bapt and the Basses nah. Definitely fret buzz. Some people like that sound. They call it “growl” or “rasp” or some similar. Maybe set up would correct it but I would think this one has been set up before demoing it.
