local coffee shops are now killing starbucks. starbucks reigns in the past since no local coffee shops tries to challenge. now more local shops are opening. offering cheaper and better coffee. starbucks must adapt and offer affordable coffee
This jackass gets to work remotely and gets a 10min starting bonus without doing anything! Tech workers and those that work in customer service for these companies need to unionize! Why does a CEO get such a huge bonus for doing nothing and work remotely while companies tell us that “the office builds creativity” BS! Remote/Office work should be up to the individual as long as work gets done!
@@maestoso47 It's possible, who knows right. But, on his shoes I'd be open to that because it would give me a far deeper understanding of how the business work. Personally, I think he wasn't forced, because at that level I would like to believe that he had the freedom to tell them to f-off in case he didn't agree with that. But hey, anything can happen.
CEO needs to show dedication...really? for 10s of millions of dollars salary he cant move? come on.... our standards for these ppl are 10kft underground
Who else saw and heard the hidden sarcasm between the show host (sitting in the studio) and the content expert (sitting in her living room) while both discuss the issue of work from home
I’m gonna guess the “as needed” won’t need to be enforced. His pay package is presumably composed heavily of stock options. CEOs are rarely lazy by nature or in incentive structure.
Time to short Starbucks? The parameters, essential elements, and functions needed to rebound the company doesn’t start with a work from home dynamic environment. Starbucks is not a tech company. You may think it is with the collection of data and algorithms from the app, but at the end of the day, it’s all about the individual stores followed by the employees and marketing programs.
It's not just work at home but also letting him fly on the corporate jet All the time between so cal and Seattle. Then he will give us these speeches about how we How to worry about our global foodptint Maybe enough. Here's so convinced about global warming that he bought a home in Newport Beach.About one foot above sea level.
I already knew 99.9% of CEOs work from home..the position that has the most amount of bullshit padding and fluff compared to actual value. Screw your WLB..other than me !! Because I have millions of dollars and you don't!!!
Rather than replacing the CEO, Starbucks must focus on reasonably pricing its products. Unbelievably expensive for all the offered options in this chain. Who wants to buy ?
Starbucks CEO should be fired. Horrible. Almost as bad as these young untrustworthy women reporters. They just talk without facts and with only their opinions - don’t care what they think.
@@PMW10 first worthless is one word, try finishing high school before you leave comments here. Second, he literally just started at Starbucks and the headquarters is located in Seattle , Washington. He's working from Newport Beach, California which is 1000 miles from Seattle and where the vast majority of the executives operate out of. You think phoning it in from a thousand miles away is a good way to start things off and get Starbucks profits back up? You dense?
@@JohnMcLovin-xq3qg he meant "worth less", not "worthless". As in "are you "worth less" sitting in a different room? Not "are you worthless sitting in a different room?
Flying from California to Seattle on a corporate jet to do the 3 day in office. Years from now when aliens archaeologists try to find the reasons for the end of human civilization they will know why.
From what I understand, he will have a daily comute so he won't even fly in in the 1st day, stay in a hotel for 2 nights and fly back at the end of the 3 days. No. He will have 2 flights a day for 3 days so 6 flights. Crazy stuff.
@@Alnivol666 Seriously ? This alone would more than offset any carbon sustainability claims they make. Never having starbucks again. This is also what corporates nowadays are doing. Rich overpaid CEOs tasked with cost cutting, letting go of employees and ensuring lowest possible pay for the slaves they hire. Inequality of wealth is getting magnified 10x
He shows extreme selfishness and a lack of care for our environment to commute by private jet three times a week for thousands of miles. Let us all boycott Starbucks! Please go to some wonderful local Mom and pop coffee shops instead. ❣️🌎
