@@SpawnPoiint im thinking of getting the steelseries arctis 3 to play for mobile, ps4 games is it possible to have surround sound without using a pc or laptop?
Really enjoyed this review. Been looking for an alternative to the official Pulse 3D headset from PlayStation and this is definitely a nice upgrade. Love the mic quality and ability to mute it from the controller.
PS5 HEADSET Been using the Pulse 3D headset since launch but these do look really good and the mic comparison was quite something. Might have to look into getting these in the future. Great review!
I have been using the Artctis 9X for a year now. Great headset has the chat/game volume on a slider plus Bluetooth connectivity. Definitely recommend if running a series X 👌
True. I have no complaints at all myself. Comfortable ah. Also no dongles, or headphone cables are needed. Just pure wireless headset. My only gripe is the usb micro jack. Shoulda been type c, but that's minor
I agree to this, the only gripes I have is the lack of type c USB and the range is not the best, sometimes I have to walk into my kitchen or check on my kids a few rooms down and they disconnect and take awhile to reconnect
Appreciate your reviews! Has helped so much with my ps5 and such. Just pick up the black 7p+ for Christmas. Pretty fast shipping! They were available a week before Christmas and was here by Xmas eve. Keep pushing 💪🏽
Loving my Arctis 7P I would like to add something you didn't mention on the PS5 with this headset : you can mute BOTH mic and sound in the headset by pressing the mute button on the controller for about 2 seconds Can be pretty usefull Greetings from France
I've been using steelseries headsets for several years now. I've never in my life wore a more comfortable headset. They are extremely comfortable and you completely forget they are even on. Ultra light, while maintaining solid sound quality.
Any problem with it breaking on the ear parts? The hinges? On reddit those fucks will say it breaks easily. Im scurred bout it now, i have the pro gamedac
Steel Series is a great headset choice. Always love their sound and hardware quality for the money. This is going to be a #1 alternative for me as I wait for the upcoming Sony Playstation Pulse Elite.
Got these for my birthday and I must admit I’m very impressed. They feel very good and sturdy, also the fact that I can have the option of hearing myself down the mic is a big thing so I know I’m not talking too loud. Deffo worth it if you are looking for a higher tier gaming headset.
I’m still rocking my Arctis Pro Wireless and I don’t think I’ll ever use anything else until a new version of these come out. The clarity of the 3D and sound profiles are game changers for any kind of games. The only thing that made it better was fleather ear muffs.
Dude, just bought the Arctis Pro Wireless. I was hesitant because alot of people were complaining they dont work well with PS5 but there were alot of people who said they had no issue. Decided to try them and I think they are incredible.
PS5 headset. Another great video, a few things to unpick from this 1) the mic sounds great compared to the Pulse 3D (I had no idea the mic was so bad on Sony’s official headset! 2) does the usb C dongle cover half of the front usb A port?? 3) what is the 3D audio like on these? I have the pulse 3D and the Steelseries Arctis pro wireless and I can’t seem to hear much difference with the 3D audio. And lastly 4) what is that divot on your wall behind the PS5?? I can’t unsee it now 🤣 again great review, have a great new year!!
@@SpawnPoiint Following up to say I picked these up and I'm so very glad I did. Super comfy and I'm blown away by how easy it is to use with the dongle, mute button, and sidetone wheel. Nuts. Thank you for the recommendation and making this video!
Been using the arctis 7p on pc for about 6 months now and they are amazing , they are comfortable for long hours and the sound quality is great , 100% reccomend them
I just got these and they are a great headset. My only issue which makes me feel dumb for not checking and just assuming. Is that it's not Bluetooth which is a feature I enjoyed in my old headset. Answering calls, listening to music ect..
The autoswitching auxilliary ports on the dongle of the original Arctis 7 were the defining feature in an ocean of headsets that basically do the same thing. Without that I'm not sure. USB-C is not really a feature, it's an expectation.
"PS5 Headset" Yet another brilliant honest review. Can't believe it's less than 3K subs now to 200K. Feels like it was only yesterday you made the 100K video. :D
Couldn’t believe the difference between those and the Pulse 3D! I’m debating the 7X because I have both systems, but I really like the idea of having the voice monitoring. Is this still possible without that control, like via consoles, do you know? Also using Bose QC35 II wired currently, so debating whether it’s worth it?
@@jeffstevens2237 my opinion on the quality was from the video mate, I have neither to compare myself, but the recordings in this video were really night and day in my opinion. I am currently using the Bose QC 35ii, and they sound great, but are wired and I obviously can’t compare to any others currently.
@@jeffstevens2237 I'm enjoying the 7p+ a lot but one thing it doesn't have compared to Pulse is the best sound quality. The build, comfort, and mic seems to be better. Although honestly I find the Pulse very comfortable as well. Even with adjusting the EQ settings, the Arctist 7p+ can't get as loud or great sounding as the Pulse. It's close though.
They literally removed the best feature of the Arctis 7. The volume slider that goes between voice and game. What a letdown. I'm primarily a PC user and this has been literally the best part about this headset.
I think it's because Playstation doesn't support it on 3rd party headset, and this model is literally made for playstation. What you're looking for is Actis 7+, same headset shown in video but non-playstation model with chatmix. You can still connect it to PS5, but chatmix wont work.
Can you comment a bit more on how well the sidetone feature works for hearing your own voice with this "PS5 HEADSET"? I currently have a Turtle Beach and the sidetone is non-existent.
The feature is amazing. I love it! You literally hear your own voice in real time. Kinda awkward in the beginning but i keep mine on all the time now. Really useful especially if you are loud when u play games like me 😄
Literally just bought these, as my first pair of gaming headsets, and I can’t believe I’ve never owned a pair before. Game changer and super comfortable!!
Hey there, so after hours of research for the best headset for my ps5, i went with the arctis 7p+. Mainly because of the performance and immersion presets i saw online. Well once i got home, i plugged in the headset to play with the presets only to be suprised that for the 7p+ they’re completely different than the 7p! I am a complete newbie when it comes to equalizer settings, i have no idea what all the numbers and values mean, that’s why i was really looking forward to being able to just throw on a preset and game. The only ones i see on here now are bass-boost, smiler, focus, and flat. I really wanted to use the immersion preset from the 7p for my story games but it’s not even an option on this version of the headset. What values could i enter for the same experience you’d get with the immersion preset on the 7p on my 7p+? thx
Hey, don’t know if you see this and if you still use the headset but i’m planning on buying them. One question: can they connect to the backside of the PS5 using a cable that comes with it? Haven’t been able to find an answer online yet
AWesome review my guy im sold and will be getting this cant wait to try them out !!! needed something for gaming since i stream on twitch and hope one day to do it on youtube. Thanks again and glad to have found your youtube, best one yet so far will update once i get to experience it :)
Hey SpawnPoiint, between this headset and the relatively new Arctis Nova 7, do you know if there are any significant differences in audio as their website says? While I like the design of the 7P+, it seems the Nova 7 just has more features. Would love to see a comparison video of the two if possible.
Biggest difference is the Nova 7 has Blueooth and 2.4ghz which can be used at the same time. So you can listen to your pc or phone via bluetooth, and still hear the playstation.
Love my 7p+. They recently restocked in black and got a pair. Wish it would work better on Xbox though. You can attach via the provided cable to your controller but audio is low and mic doesn’t work. But for the PS5 they are perfect.
I have the original Gold headset and wasn’t really impressed or saw any difference with the Pulses out of box. Hoping these are drastically better. My Gold set has an issue of dropping when I go anywhere that isn’t on the couch right in front of the system. 😣
That is not a headset issue, i had the same problem and that is because you have the dongle and the memory hd close to each other and interfere with the wireless connection. Use a extended cable to the hd to move it away.
@@Kajanifoe yes in every single aspect. But the only downside to the 7p+ is that it's not as loud as the gold wireless. I even went online to tune up the volume and there isn't anything to make it loud. At full volume on the 7p+ is probably like 3/4 volume of the gold wireless.
Thank you. I've been using the razer nari ultimate wireless which is amazing for how immersed it makes you feel into the game. It's haptic feedback with the controller haptic feedback is a combined game changer but I only use them for shooters and story mode games. Not so fun playing sports games becase the haptic feedback is annoying with every ball dribble and in-game music so I planned to get these mostly for my sports games and I'll use them some with shooters.
I’ve tested a lot of headsets on the Ps5 but narrowed it down to the attics 7p+ and the Razer Black shark pro v2 and I’d say the Razer wins in every category other than the mic quality.
This is what i'm here for. I have a bit of audio problem (muffled) on my Black Shark v2 pro but it corrects itself after several minutes though, but still kind of annoying it happens. Then I found this video & I kind of thinking if 7P+ is superior to my Blackshark Pro. & I guess based on your answer, I better stick with my Blackshark & save myself $170.
great video bro 👍 very well done just got these today n biggest thing for me besides audio quality is how comfortable they are an do not hurt my head nor ears. when sadly my astro a50 n a40s did that.
Just got these as a birthday gift. Excited to get use them. Where did you buy your headset stand? I’m looking for something really similar. Looks very clean with the wooden and metal. Thanks!
Just bought these in black from the manufacture’s website. Couldn’t find that color anywhere else in retail stores online. I’m excited to get my hands on them!
Hey SpwanPoiint, I wanted to in your opinion which is a better monitor to buy for the PS5? The LG27GP950-B or the Asus Tuf Vg28uql1a0? I have bought unless accessories like my own gaming chair, the PS5, a controller, and the Steelseries arctis 7p. The only thing I am missing for my setup is the monitor and the ssd card. The rest like stands and a new cover aren't nessasary but I can still buy those in the future. I love your videos and keep the content coming. I wish you the best in 2022.
@@SpawnPoiint Sorry but didn't mention it cover the usb port in the front and also if you can use other cables to cannect to the back to prevent the covering of that usb port
I have both pair one in black being the 7p+ and the white 7p I juggle both when they die I love both kind of expensive but well worth it when it comes sound and quality great review also Happy New Yr.
@@nielsdebaets6972 I would say the 7p are a little louder but I also didn’t download the Artic 7p+ settings to my laptop to try an tweak some things also to me I do use my 7p just a little more then the 7p+
@@melljones8876 to give a heads-up, I bought a arctis 7 2019 (so pc version) and there is no white noise AND it gets noticeably louder than the 7p+ I had. No idea how this is even possible but the older non PlayStation version works better than the new PlayStation version... on the PlayStation...
These were recommended to me with wearing glasses. A lot cheaper now which is a huge plus for me. Your video was very well done and informative. So thank you.
Just got the PS5 a few months ago, controller speaker is quite quiet so I was looking to get a headset, this seems like a good one so i'll watch your review and make up my mind. Thanks Spawn!
Excellent video. Please please please, can you clarify something. The game/chat volume slider built into the console, does this only work for party chat or does it control in game chat/game volume too or is it greyed out?
Planning on getting one. But my PS4 platinum headset still works wonderfully on PS5. Just wondering if arctis 7p plus is worth getting over the Pulse 3D. I don't mind the game/chat volume adjustment not being present on third party headsets as I play single player games only on PS5. I am more concern about the sound quality rather than anything else. Comfort of using the headset, not so much. But I like the fabric cushion cover than the synthetic leather as they peal off eventually. btw, I have the arctis pro wireless on PC, and I know what you are talking about when you mentioned how comfortable it feels when wearing it for long gaming sessions
dam what kind of chair do yo8u have?. looks comfortable. Also i was going to get this but opted for the Arctis 7+ instead. I wish you could go over the differences between the P+ and +
Awesome video once again I needed a new headset due to my arctis 3 wire broke so I'm tired of wired so I need a headset thanks for this review I bought it picking it up on Friday from best buy I cannot wait to get and open it and set it up on my ps5 once again thanks for the review
I like the artics 9, just for the bluetooth feature what comes with it, it's great when someone calls and I can here both through the headset, just wish they used USB-c
@Spawnpoiint- Great Review- What are your Warzone settings for both 7P and 7P+? I read not to use 3D audio with the 7P. Has that changed? Also it looks like the EQ for the 7P+ is more robust. would love to see your sound settings for both. Thanks!
Can u use the headset for gaming while charging or do you need to charge it before u play? Thank you for the great Information on that thing, i might get me one of these. (if playing while charging is possible)
