I have four Strapcode bracelets; two Endmills and two Super Engineers. For about a hundred bucks, you put two or three hundred dollars of looks on your watch. I recommend them.
Looks great, managed to scratch the buckle within two days, mucking about on a rock, doh. The pins were almost impossible to fit, really frustrating. The only other thing you don’t mention is that there is no diver extension or quick adjust. I got mine for £50, chuffed to bits with it.
Great video on the new strap code bracelets for the 053 . I saw this recently on a video Marc did from Long Island Watch. I think the same as you as to why Seiko doesn’t offer a Seiko factory bracelet for this watch. It’s great that you now have the option to add a quality bracelet 👍🏻
Thank you Joseph! Really appreciate your comments. They should really offer the bracelet across the line. I think it could be that Seiko manufacturers watches in so many different places (even in the same series it seems?) that maybe it would be a logistics issue $$. Either way, like you said, this gives me the option 👍😎 Cheers buddy
While I prefer to wear my watches on anything but a bracelet, I've owned several Strapcode bracelets and think they are an excellent value proposition. They are always on upgrade over the stock Seiko bracelet with milled clasp hardware and screwed links. I've got one in my collection made for an SBBN017 Tuna that looks great for the rare times when I feel like having all stainless steel on my wrist. Boy, does that SBDC053 look sharp! I do NOT need another blue diver watch but....damn!!!
I'm definitely on a bracelet kick lately. Only stock Seiko bracelets i have are on my Sumo and a couple vintage pieces. I've been very tempted to upgrade the Sumo🤔😁The 053 is just an awesome watch 💙! Cheers Lee!!
Strapcode is a awesome company. Great vid to share. I will agree I dont know way these companies make it so hard to change bracelets. Doesnt make sense. Good one bro!!👍👍👊
Thanks buddy. They fit super tight and it can be a real pain in the ass!! I think the have to work with Seikos loose QC process also. This makes it harder for one to fit all if you know what im saying 😎👍👊
Great video man I actually just put the strapcode 3D oyster on my black Bay Steel . I really don't like the rivets come on the factory bracelet and I love the leather strap and clasp that came with it but I got to tell you, really really big fan of the bracelet. I think I'm going to get the hexad for my Samurai 🤘🤘
Ohhhh, I'll bet that looks great on the BB! My Tudor is the older model with the screw link bracelet. I'm not a fan of the riveted bracelet either. That Hexad would look awesome on the Samurai 😎👍👊
How the hell does anything get from Honk Kong in 2 days! They must have a secret portal!😉 Very cool bracelet. Very smart to put the threads at the top. Less chance of a cross thread.
Aron Dunlap-OFD Watch Channel Thanks Aron, the quality of mobile phone cameras is amazing, I have several professional cameras but like you shoot my RU-vid stuff on a phone, I keep looking for a macro alternative to the aukey clip on lens but that’s money better spent on watches... goes without saying, I love your channel
Wanted this bracelet this time last year. Wasn’t sure Strapcode would actually make one for the SBDC053 so I Bought the Seiko factory bracelet on Amazon for $175.00. It is OK but like the Strapcode you reviewed better.
Yeah, i looked for the factory bracelet, but prices were ridiculous. I figured strapcode would get around to it. It well made and fits the watch nice. No pin collar system either which i can't stand. Either way, im sure you watch looks great on the factory bracelet!! Enjoy it my friend!!😎👍👊
