These policies to forgive debt and increase wages through legislation is only a dog chasing it's tail. These attempts to improve the economy don't work because inflation and the cost of living is far outpacing debt and wages and is only making things worse.
What I don't understand is why my husband's income has to be included in repayment when one, it's not his debt. Two, he's never been to college. Three, he's a green card holder. We have our own individual debts that we don't pay for one another.
Because when you get married nothing is individual. You are one entity. Everything is shared. If you divorce the debt is shared also. Think of being married as being one person, not two. Marriage is a financial contract. It may be only love for you, but that's not what marriage is in the eyes of the law, financially or its original design.
For the “Capitalized Interest” he said forgives the interest up to 20,000 unless on an income driven repayment plan, then it forgives the entire balance. Was he meaning the entire interest balance even if the interest is over 20k or was he meaning the total balance of the loan and pay it totally off if on an income driven repayment plan? Thank you for explaining you are the best!
If you are in the SAVE program, AND meet the financial requirements, there is a provision that would forgive the entire balance and interest if your loan has grown to more than what you originally took out. I have all those details in a separate video about the SAVE program. You can search my page for that information.
@@codyfleming4794mening I pay the bank with you.. and this is fair to the biden administration somehow. I remember the claim no new taxes... someone needs to tell Joe inflation is a tax.
They should do away with the interest all together. The government should not be profiting from student loans. Student loan interest rates are now between 6-9%. That's ridiculous for people trying to earn an education.
How about including people that already filed Chapter 7 Bankruptcy and didn't include their student loans because they were told that the student loans couldn't be included.
I’m all for student loan forgiveness of some kind, however NOT paying anything doesn’t fly with me. Whatever you make you pay a percentage of it. That’s what IDR is … I pay , you pay …
He can forgive student loans , but the students won’t forgive him for inflation. They’re more mad about $3.00 McDonald’s hash browns that used to be $1.00 !!!😂😂😂
Just wait until this debt starts to affect inflation. Democrats are constantly chasing their tails trying to get income to catch up with the cost of living and it's only getting worse. People don't realize that this only adds to the problem of the cost of living outpacing income. It don't fix it.
@@micmaymarprobably because you went to college. So, these are federally backed loans. Not loans from the government. These people now owe interest on said loans. And the government is gonna have to pay the loan and the interest. Banks loaned the money... Government pays the bank... So you already have the inflation from the initial loan from the bank. Then you will get even more inflation when the government borrows even more money to pay the bank back.. because the government has no money.
Have paid over $50k of government loans for 2 kids. Down to under $5k but it's a private loan through State of TX plan. Will I get any relief or do I continue paying for my family then use my taxes to payoff other's debts. Please advise
The federal government has no jurisdiction over state or private loans. If you would like relief from those loans you should take it up with the state of Texas.
Did you not hear the Undersecretary say that the Student Loan racket operated at such a huge profit for so long, forgiveness is already pretty much paid for?
If your 'Education' failed you so bad, get your money back from those who sold it to you. When I buy a faulty product from the store, I don't expect my fellow tax payer to foot the bill. Were finally seeing the real worth and actual value of your degree and the false prestige that was put behind it. Its not as important or necessary to a good or successful life as you have been lead to believe, and it certainly does not mean that your educated or intelligent.
As I just reported, the court said the last program was not legal. The court has said NOTHING about this program. So, yes. He can try again. There is nothing wrong with that. It actually happens all the time with every President.
@@LisaRemillardOfficial well your active.. so point blank... Does this mean people that couldn't afford college, have to pay for these forgiven student loans?
