How fabulous your studio is. Love the space. How about a light grey for the walls? It would tie in your floors and panel wall.

Your space resembles mine in that it is organized chaos. That is not meant as a criticism, but rather the trademark of a very creative person!

It has been discouraging to see mostly perfection and limitless budgets when I search for "craft room organization." You're the best, thanks!

I need to borrow your husband, nothing kinky, lol, but just for some building and manual labor. My husband is a wonderful provider but he LIKES his downtime! Maybe go with a cool dove gray paint? It won't compete with anything and if you want to display anything on the walls for videos or whatever, it would make a nice background.

Wow 😲 What an amazing space.... soooo jealous. Quite a lot of scrapbooking stuff.... do you do scrapbooking too? I love the mystical lanterns blanket but got bored (I don't like doing same thing again and again) so I've a bunch of them I may add to bottom of a shawl or something.... lol

Wow! Great tour! I was actually surprised by all the paper crafting (etc) stuff you have, I always thought you were all fiber! I used to be a Creative Memories consultant and I have a LOT of paper crafting stuff, but you make my supply look meager lol! I love the open shelves for the yarn and fiber, seeing all that color is inspiring! It's hard to tell the color from the video, but I think your panel wall behind your chair has grey in it? If so, I suggest a nice light to medium grey (gray?) color for the walls with white trim? I think that would be a soothing color and not clash with all your fiber and yarn colors. I love seeing how crafters organize their stuff, such great ideas!

Thanks for the tour -- a studio tour is always better when it looks used! I have my living room for my fiber studio (spinning, weaving, knitting etc.) and half of my office for sewing machine/quilting) my stash is growing but no where near as voluminous as yours! I find having my fiber out and around so inspirational and as you said helps me to include things I would have forgotten I even had if they were put away. I think a light color on the walls is better to not compete with any of your fabulous fiber colors ..... and I think the wood stove is so cool -- even if not in use it gives the room a very cozy warmth!! Loved all the things John has made for you --- he seems to be a treasure! Again -- thanks for sharing and keep on fibering!!

Oh wow! Thanks for sharing your studio. A window into all the other non fibre crafts too. Loved this. And I suggest a light grey for the wall paint so it doesn't compete with all the gorgeous fibre colours ! Such a cool craft room!!!

Thank you for the tour! Very inspiring! I think a grey or white for your room. Both are very restful from color. It seems that most designers have very neutral homes ~ because color dominates their work lives. Love you back!

Absolutely awesome! Mine's kinda all over the house at this point. We had a room that became available for me to set up my art/crafting stuff, but sadly my husband started working from home and that went by the wayside. I have the same exact wooden drawers that I keep all my paintbrushes and mandela tools in. Found it like you did on Amazon. The boys paint Warhammer figurines here so I keep my good brushes and brushes they can have for their models organized in it. I like neutral grey you have in the one area already for color. I would lean toward that or a neutral light tan color. That way your colors still stand out against the wall.

Wow very nice I need a place like this. Lol I have fiber, glass, leather and sewing and sewing machine for leather and two for fabric. I tell my husband I need she barn Big one my leather and glass stuff takes up alot of room.

I love your studio space! I love how organized you are. I would paint your studio a calming color. For me that would be a pale mint green because green is my favorite color. Cheerful yellow is also a good option. 💛💚

I would say a very light neutral blue-gray or lavender-gray for the walls. Something that blends with the plank wall and lets the yarn/fiber colors shine. What a great room!!

Personally I would stick with the grey. It’s a great neutral color so you can swap out accessories anytime needed. One of your walls you should consider a wall decal of your logo.

Buy the $5 paint samples once you narrow it down, makes it easier to commit, it’s worth the extra money!

thanks for showing us your fiber studio, it is so nice and oh my mercy girl, all that hand spun :p, I need to get busy! I have a pretty big fiber (for spinning) stash, which I consider S.A.B.L.E., but you have me beat by far, your’s is S.A.W.B.LE. (stash acquired WAY beyond life expectancy 😂😂). I keep seeing the pale blue almost clear water at the beaches in Hawaii, and thinking that might be restful and still give you wall color without distracting from all the other colors around you, maybe a very pale aqua ;).

How in the heck did you survive without this room!!! LOL It's amazing and you are amazing. Love you!!

Love your Studio !!! jealous !!! (j/k) as far as color on the walls, maybe a very light blue-ish gray (payne's gray), not the warm yellow gray. It's a neutral color that brings light into the room without clashing with other colors. LOVE the dressers with the pour paint, love the wood accent on them !!!

I k ow this is a late comment, but I want to say I just love your craft room! Unfortunately my craft room had to be placed into storage when my mom came to live with me, my loom and my wall of yarn however are with me still. If only I could send you a picture of my wall of yarn lol. Some of my yarns are in storage, but.... eventually I will take them out when I run low. I just ordered your warping bar which will be so much easier for me to warp the loom by myself. Also I am a beginner weaver. It is really hard trying to find out which yarns like 8/2 cotton and such can go to which reed on my loom. I have a 32 inch ashford rigid heddle loom. The reeds i currently have are 7.5, 10 and 2.5. I plan on buying a new reed each month. I already know which knitting yarns can go into the reeds for the most part, but the fibers on the cones are very confusing to me. A video on that would be great! You teach me a lot about weaving. My next project is a simple baby blanket. Thank you so much for your time!

Really nice space Trish. I am hoping to clear a lot of stuff in my glass studio and re-arrange stuff. Maybe in December/January..... I think a Putty color would look nice in the room. Would match the wood wall and is enough of a color to be more than neutral.

I wish my crafting space was that organized! At least you can see your sofa. I have a pile of fiber, WIPs & finished objects that have a loveseat somewhere underneath it! As for paint….We all have more than one favorite, so why not paint each wall a different favorite color??? I did that years ago to my son’s room. Had 1 red, 1 yellow & 1 blue & the 4th wall we painted with blackboard paint so he had a whole wall he was allowed to draw on with his chalk 😉

There are so many ways to organize - so I tend to do it topically and/or alphabetically. (I would consider yours topical). I love drawers - yours are amazing. I use a wooden cabinet intended for storing scrapbook paper to store beads; I have an old card catalog that houses knitting needles and scissors and many other odds and ends (the grand children love to explore it)...but my wools and things just don't stay organized, supplies yes, wools no. Sigh.

Lol, my craft room is the size of a small walk in wardrobe. The husband complains about my projects in the living room. I tell him to build me a room bigger than a cupboard and it will be out of his face 😁😎

The grey walls are a great neutral against the fiber and yarn, why not paint the yellow walls grey? Fabulous studio space! Looks like a crafter's dream!

I love seeing it all you have done a terrific job I like to put needed items near and like with like items even tho you have several wheels you know exactly where to go get a bobbin that is how I like doing things too. Color idea I have no idea something plain easy on your eyes while you work, that go with your containers something that let's your braids of fiber stand out. Thanks for sharing!

What a fantastic space! I have a small craft room which is painted a very light pink. With a room as big as yours I would go with a light grey as it wouldn’t compete with all the other colours in there.

i get it about the paint color... i usually sit with an idea and paint chips for months... what about a paint the color of your favorite natural fiber?

I feel like we have parallel lives. I have a silhouette but had a cricut before that I didn’t like as much. We have a heat press, silhouette, sewing machine, spinning wheels, etc. 🤣

Makes me miss my old studio so much. Had to move after I busted my knee and I have not found anyplace where I moved to set up another studio.

Faded denim blue, sort of slate blue colored paint might look good with the plank wall.

Thanks for being real, which lets others (including me) be real. ☺️ As for color, I totally understand what you mean by color being important to you. My studio has 80’s carpet in dusty rose and I mostly hate it. So I’m thinking a neutral, so that all of your beautiful tools and materials can shine, and something light to keep the space feeling open. That’s my 12 cents, apparently. Hi, Love your crafting space! I might stay with a bright yellow. It brightens the room and goes with all of the crafting colors so well.

I love that you actually showed everything, even what was in the drawers. I have a large space to craft in but I need more storage. I really like your tables on top of dressers and drawers and can move around.
